Girls Race Too! | 2024 WMX 250 Shootout

If you've spent any time at all at the local motocross tracks, you already know that more than ever, females are joining in on the fun and getting after it on motocross bikes, That being said, what do women look for out of a new dirt bike? Lighter (usually), shorter (usually...sorry Humberto), and with different leg/torso proportions than men, surely their preferences about what they look for in a new machine, For the fifth year in a row, we invited a member of the fairer sex to join us at our 2024 250 MX Shootout
Kailey Skelton has helped SML with several testing ventures over the years and as a professional mountain bike racer, she knows how to feel what her ride is doing and knows well how to communicate with mechanics and technicians about what she likes and doesn't like.

Lap times would have been a great edition, More riders as well

We did lap times for years. Here's why we stopped: 1. The track deteriorates through the day and gets slower. 2. Test riders fatigue and get slower. 3. Dyno numbers mean nothing when compared to how a bike feels to the rider. Not saying that lap times are irrelevant, but comfort will ultimately lead to better lap times anyway. *addition
