Enjoyed the video mate, good session with some lovely fish. Light tackle on the big flatties is always a trade off to using heavier line. Fluorocarbon leader comes into its own here. Think Brandon will morph into a gun flattie fisho yet. No mistake 😂 Keep the vids coming 👍 Cheers.
Great video Dave! Get some! What colour was the Zman 3" paddle tail you were using was it the "opening night" colour? Also thanks for the tip about landing the fish with the net trying to land it at the last second so not to scare the fish away. Sorry to hear your parents aren't doing too well, we all hope they get better soon.
I hope your Mum and Dad got to eat fresh flattie fillets from this episode Dave...Better than hospital ward food..Anyways great local action as always mate...regards B.J.
Hey Dave AKA Aussfish love ur videos mate plenty of good fishing action and info. Just after a little advice planning on heading to Stockton beach towards the end of month to catch my first big Jew!! Hopefully lol travelling from out west the whether forecast is not looking great So far! could change by then but pretty big southerly winds 25+knots is predicted. Is the beach able to be fished with winds that strong? Planing on fishing most of night usually the wind dies down then! Any advice would be much appreciated cheers!
It’s tough in high winds and big swell jewfish do love it rough though. Fish on the low tide and about 1/2 way running in try to find a formation that will break up some of the swell tights lines
@@aussfish9995 Cheers mate thanks for the info. Can’t wait to get on the water! Can’t pick the time off work though! Lol looking forward to the next video Let’s GET SOME!!
Iv tried a few spots land based around ash island, stockton and nelson bay with not much luck on shimma shrimp and the clone prawn. I will get a zman 3" and give it a crack
Haven’t tried the shimma shrimp but the clone prawn and 3# Zmann are awesome keep moving around exploring watching we’re other people are fishing don’t give up you’ll crack it
Nice dave get in before the long weekend. Busy out there this morning 😂

Legal size of 70? Legal flathead is like 30?
Legal size for Flathead in NSW in 36cm can’t keep them over 70cm my wording may have been a bit confusing 😂😂
@@aussfish9995 oh haha that makes more sense 👌🏼
