Land Based Fishing in Newcastle Harbour

In this video, Jesse and Tim flick lures around some rock walls in Newcastle Harbour, chasing some Dusky Flathead.
Lures used- Jesse- 92mm Pro lure Clone Prawn + 1/4 oz Jig head.
Tim- Pro lure 80mm FishTail + 1/4 oz Jig Head

Nice video Punt road lot of history there. I used to fish there as a little kid on the huge wooden pen they had built for the punts they you drove your car onto cross the River before they built the Stockton bridge. I know I’m very old

Depends on a few factors mate- depth, current, line thickness and the type of lure (paddle tails and curl tails will decrease the sink rate, as will thicker lines).
Play around with different sizes and As long as you can feel the lure hitting the bottom 3-6 seconds after hopping it up- you’re in the zone.

By all means try that area, but you can find flathead in pretty much any water along the shore in the harbour. Enjoy mate good luck 👍
