Fishing a few different locations in newcastle harbour using lures only. Unfortunately lots of wind made a few spots unfishable but still a good day on the water with plenty caught.

Another great video Andrew. The Harbour has changed since I was in Newcastle in the late 1970’s but recognised Stockton Bridge. Used to catch many large Flathead there. Nobbys Head was also a favourite spot of mine. Keep them coming mate. Michael from Preston England.
Hey Michael, its changed alot thats forsure. Ive been fishing it for 40 years and most of the places i fished as a kid u cant even access anymore. Fishing is still ok but limited spots these days off the bank. Glad i have a boat 👍
Hey Andrew, I see you got the new waist band PFD too👍Heaps more comfortable to wear I thought. You don't have to worry about spooking the fish if you dropped something on the floor of the boat at that first spot, there's that much industrial noise behind you, they wouldn't hear it😂
@Lowysfishing I hate the wind also mate but I guess this time of the year it's a given. I'm heading to Lake Mulwala next wed for 5 days it's been a minute since I've been out will be good to be on the water again
@@rondg5651 thanks mate. The legal size in nsw for jewfish is 70cm an there is a limit of 2 fish per boat. Most fish between 70cm to 100cm will roughly weigh between 5-10 kgs 👍
was out by myself on Wednesday it was blowing hard decent chop. Started heading back south and a Maritime boat came out of nowhere chased me down to make sure I was wearing a life jacket. He didn't stop as it was far too rough but he was hiding somewhere around Silverwater / the cocklebeds in a small centre console rib lol.

Maybe 1 a month at stockton on snags. In the lake the tailor bite me off about 1 in 3 trips. No ideal but the lures catch heaps of fish so i just keep using them. The jews love em 👍

Im happy i got the waistbelt alot easier to wear. Yer pete did well mate his put in the casts aswell. Occasionally i get some fish mate 🤣🤣

No mate just schoolies. Occasionally some over a metre.
