    Don't give the exact location cause that's a very good breeding ground for fish to inhabit and we don't need more people to find out about it.

    I used to catch poddy mullet there in oyster bottles as a kid (in the 70s) to sell to the jewfishers.
    Haven't there to fish for years - more into snapper and jewfish from Nobbys Wall, jewfish from Stockton and around the Harbour from the shore using live baits and super fresh frozen squid.
    I wont tell the other guys where your spot is ( you''ll know me when see my big red Pajero and old fat guy w/ big rods and big Alvey 651s ). I''m too old , soft and lazy these days to fish much on windy cold winter days ( used to so hard core I'd be known to fish til past midnight even in winter regularly to catch jewfish .... brrr .... )
    I reckon if you had a fishing kyac or even an inflatable you'd slay the bream, flathead and jewies there year round.
    Have you tried fishing there for luderick using weed or fake week flies ? You don't need real deep water, caught luderick in under 1m of water in many places around the harbour even in the dark ....)😁
    That first little soapy looked legal size ---- 70cm. More meat on it that lizard.

    Great fishing spot, usually stop by there for quick fish when out in the river. Oyster definitely make it challenging 😁

      Indeed .... those oysters there are murder on the line (mono) .

    I've seen the jewies swimming AGAINST the outflowing tide at the northern most channel there! Choppers, bream, flattys, mullet. They're all in there but mostly tiny.

    Hey Mate, Do you mainly use hard bodies and vibes around Hexham and Stockton? Any tips on which work better and where? Thanks

    • @jtsnewfish3877
      @jtsnewfish3877  5 месяцев назад +1

      I like vibes mate but it really depends where I’m fishing. If it’s shallow I’ll prefer a lightly weighted plastic or if it’s a snaggy area the same- vibes get easily snagged and are a lot more expensive.
      But where I can get away with it, vibes are deadly.

      There’s nothing special about this spot.. by all means go and enjoy some fishing but I wouldn’t go there to target Jew you’ll be left disappointed, there’s a lot better spots for that.
