- A quick early morning solo mission in the hunter river resulting in catching a variety of fish as I'm keen to use a homemade lure the "Marz Pixie" that I was given to try. If your wondering where to purchase these lures, Maurie Marsden sells them at the Maitland markets which is on the first Monday of every month. Hope you enjoy!

That was a great video, well done mate. What a wonderful fishery you have there, you are very lucky indeed.
Rocket's Fishing Adventures cheers mate, appreciate it! It is very good indeed especially when you can target the likes of Jew and bass in the same river system
Awsome will probably try this out tomorrow
You will have to thank Paul at the shop for showing me your channel

Julian Chambers cheers mate. Appreciate the kind words 👌🏽
Great video. Those Marz lures are fantastic and Marzo is a terrific bloke too. Caught my biggest ever bass on one of his mandrake lures.

Nice work and I never thought there where platypuses in the hunter but seen heaps at Denman last year
Cheers mate! yeah I never thought so as well that's why I was a bit shocked.
Maitland markets are now cancelled, how do I contact Maurie Marsden to get some lures?
Call Maurie on 49336870...
Good session mate 🤙🏽
Spoke to Maurie yesterday, he said he would love to see this video
Great vid. Have you tried bait there, and what would you use.
EMT Fatal Cheers! I’ve tried bait there before and fresh live prawns have defiantly been the best.
Why are the bream and flathead in freshwater ?
Michele Clapham it’s not completely freshwater. It’s an estuary system so there is part salt in there, they come up river.
With this type of fishing do you prioritise tides over time of day? If so what do you recommend? Cheers
Yes and no but I do think the time of the day as a lot to do with it as well. I go very well at night there no matter what the tide is doing. It is ideal to fish the last hour of the run in and the last hour of the run out especially if you want to target jewies.
is that Hinton Bridge ?
tdunster2011 it was Morpeth bridge in the video but I did fish near the Hinton bridge as well that day.
Excellent video mate! You must check out my recent Fishing vids perhaps you will enjoy it.😀
