Love your videos, without doubt, one of the best boatman and fisherman I've ever seen, very much in touch with the sea, I hope this inspires others to watch your other videos.
    Best wishes mate

Go squiding on the run up tide late afternoon or early morning on the new moon best time of any month and use yamashita pink glow or white jigs

@@aussfish9995 Yes mate. Not as big or as vast a schools as the breeding schools of Spring/Summer. Plus we get Southern Calamari as well as Arrow Squid. They only live about a year so are very quick growing but some schools breed before others so there are varying sizes. Most adults die after breeding & like flattie the big ones are all girls. The cooler months you need to drift off the edge of weed beds & small drop-offs to find them then keep repeating that drift line. When the water is dirty move to an orange lure & then black but yes pink is the best colour in cleaner water. Anyway have a look into how Water absorbs colors of the light spectrum. You'll see how manufactures are having a lend of us & even more so in fresh water. Thanks for your vids & tips, I'm definitely going to try that bridle setup for live baits.

Fantastic. I love squiding and i love eating them. We are only aloud 15 bag limit here in South Aus. But they sure are big enough. You only need 1 or 2 for a good feed. Also the mulloway love mullet here. Great work. Really enjoy the channel 👌

Thanks mate, the arrow Squid are smaller but we do get some cracking Green Eye squid in NSW. That’s my next mission to learn how to catch the big fellas at sea.

Nice vid mate I use the same technique on the Hawkesbury working the rods like that must look weird to other fishos on the water but it sure works hahaha
As you said gun jewie baits but I prefer to eat them as it’s heartbreaking when the pickers get to em, man are they good eating better than calamari in my opinion

I haven’t explored that far south squid fishing, yet 😂😂😂 Drift around with a paternoster rig while your lure fishing they would be there some where. I would start around Pulbah Island

Read reply above + underwater light at night. Squid are actually Nocturnal & when they are on you will bag out very quickly. So take some mates.
