I heard that soccer was overtaking hockey just because getting all the equipment for hockey is expensive so fewer parents are putting their kids into it.
The problem is such a huge portion of Canada's population lives in and around Toronto. Because of this the most supported Canadian teams are the Toronto Teams. In Toronto the Raptors have a bigger more loyal following then the Leafs
An American made this clearly....we don't all eat Poutine every meal. Or chips.... Wrong, healthcare in the US is expensive but of good quality if you can afford it. Canadian healthcare is social but not guaranteed. Public wait times can be ridiculous so you might die of disease before you can be treated depending on what illness you have.
@@LocoMe4u Not necessarily. You will only be put in front of people who don't have life threatening diseases. Lots of people have life threatening diseases and you have to wait a long time before you receive treatment.
@J P "All forms of health are treated in a timely manor" That sure is a nice fantasy, the problem is that it is just that. Specialist physicians surveyed report a median waiting time of 21.2 weeks between referral from a general practitioner and receipt of treatment-longer than the wait reported in 2016, which was 20 weeks, the longest ever recorded since the Fraser Institute began tracking wait times for medically necessary elective treatments. Canadian wait times are among the worst in the world.
@J P Unfortunately, personal anecdotes are not arguments against actual data and statistics. See, I can use one to, because it took several months to get my referral to an endocrinologist. Also, I don't see how statistics from the Fraser Institution are "misleading online articles". Anyways, Canadian healthcare is mostly good, especially in terms of quality, I'm just arguing that it isn't necessarily the glorious system that I have personally seen may others claim it to be. Healthcare is a mess in the US, but I ultimately believe privatization would be better (if done right) for both financial and moral reasons.

In my 35yrs ive had poutine twice and once split a beaver tail with a friend. That stuff is for tourists or the odd treat. This list is pretty inaccurate for both sides. Just a tiny correction. In quebec , we have an option to either choose vocational school or college, we don't take both. College in other provinces would mean school that has most technical programs and few pre university programs while in Quebec, most courses are preparing you for university and few of the technical programs preparing you for the career they're interested in. You can get guns in canada. Except it isnt a right and it is restricted wierdly in such a way. You can have all powerfull weapons but not Ar-15 for some wierd reason. Despite being weaker than most legal weapons
Yes, it isn't a right however, you can get an AR-15 in Canada, it is just classified like all other rifles of its class as restricted which requires a different license. With your standard Possession Acquisition License you can buy most lever action, and bolt action rifles, along with most break action, pump action and semi-automatic shotguns. Overall though I am not aware of any guns that you can get in USA but not in Canada, though I'm sure with enough digging you may find one. Ammo is a different story.
Zexity YT To make a long story short, I was once in Abbotsford in a bar with two guys from Alberta I was working with in the early eighties and when one of the locals at a table next to ours heard me say that I was from the east, he just looked at me with disdain and told me, if I remember well, to go back to my retarded outback. Lots of people around who had heard his comment found that quite funny. When I saw the name Abbotsford, it simply triggered a reflex. So, for me, Abbotsford is certainly not a good memory.

Umm since when is basketball more popular than hockey? I live in Alberta and I don't know anyone who watches basketball. Hockey is way way wayyy more popular.
Québec approve. Who the f*** even care about basketball.
I heard that soccer was overtaking hockey just because getting all the equipment for hockey is expensive so fewer parents are putting their kids into it.
In my province (Alberta) hockey is still the most popular sport by far. I would say second most popular is football. Basketball isn't even close.
Sabrina Kitten yeah! I love in Ontario and I mean basketball is popular but hockey is where it at!
The problem is such a huge portion of Canada's population lives in and around Toronto. Because of this the most supported Canadian teams are the Toronto Teams. In Toronto the Raptors have a bigger more loyal following then the Leafs
? No middle school in Canada? I'm pretty sure I've seen a middle school in every city I've been in Canada but okie
And yet every city I've lived in in Ontario there are none.

Hmmm did I say I've lived in every city, Pluto One?

An American made this clearly....we don't all eat Poutine every meal. Or chips....
And Canadians play all the other sports Americans like plus we are heavy into Curling, which is a bigger game here than any place else
Oh, and French? Most Canadians don't speak French or do half assed when they go to Quebec.
We don't eat all those things in Canada, we actually rarely eat them

basketball ball can't be the number 1 spot in Canada hockey and I think always will
I’m a Canadian citizen and I’m pretty sure that you don’t start high school in grade 7. You start in grade 9, just like the American education system, but one difference that I can tell you is a Canadian child will start junior kindergarten one year before an American child will meaning you start school in Canada when you are 4 but in the US you start at 5.
What school in Canada has high school from 7-12?
Mine.
The high school I went to has 7-12 but the grades 7/8 were separated and had completely different schedules
My school also did
All the high schools in Québec but we call it "secondaire" and we start the grades over so it's 1st to 5th grade.
Mine does but my high school is a bit abnormal compared to other ones in my area that go from 8 to 12.
AMERICANS:COOKE COKE IS THE BEST

as a person who was born in america, I don't exactly think it's fair to have canada red and us green since that is just saying that they are wrong and we are right when both countries are equally amazing
I appreciate you seeing that we are equal and it’s nice knowing there are some great Americans out there!!
In parts of Ontario, we go to elementary school from K-8 while high school is 9-12
Ali Raza Zaidi that’s correct. Some other areas such as Toronto have middle school and only catholic schools go from k-g8
I’m in Windsor Ontario, we got that
I lived in Thunder Bay Ontario for 20yrs and there was a middle school but most people i knew didn't go.
Ali Raza Zaidi same here in Saskatchewan
In the Quebec schoool system, we call higher education "University", not college; what you call "vocational schools" are what we usually call "colleges" (they go by the acronym CEGEP).
Healthcare in the US is poor and expensive. Healthcare in Canada is clearly both Social and guaranteed.
Wrong, healthcare in the US is expensive but of good quality if you can afford it. Canadian healthcare is social but not guaranteed. Public wait times can be ridiculous so you might die of disease before you can be treated depending on what illness you have.
@@jamesshepherd9390 If disease is life threatening you will be cured quicker.
A few corrections
1 ) We have middle schools
2) Our police officers look like American police. Mounties in red suits and hats are ceremonial. I have never seen one.
3) Health care is covered for basic or emergency care only i.e. surgery, prescriptions are not covered if employed
Yo the school thing for Canada is so wrong and this is coming from a Canadian
In every district it's different i've lived in 5 different school districts and they are all different for how the school works (btw I'm canadian)
I know we have middle school
why do you say that? I'm American but my parents both did the junior high just like Canadians an they did fine in life.
@Noah days 567854 Lol no
When I went to high school in Ontario from ‘11-‘15 it was grades 9 through 12 but that same high school is now being renovated to also include grade 7 & 8... I thought it was weird

There is middle school in Canada get your facts straight
Speed E Bird there’s junior high.
Not everywhere in canada but most places the school we have here doesn't have middle school
Thank you
USA DOES NOT HAVE A OFFICIAL LANGUAGE BUT ENGLISH IS USED BY GOVERNMENT
You forgot to mention that Americans have cats and dogs as pets, whilst Canadians have beavers and moose as pets

That isn't middle school, that is elementary

@@Annadog40 that is middle school...

Education overview was overly simplified. I am a retired middle school principal. I worked in New Brunswick, a Canadian province.
Canadian here,
Most elementary schools are kindergarten to grade 8
Most high schools are 9 to 12
There are some that aren't but this is the majority idk where infographics got their info.
My elementary was kindergarten to grade 6, then junior high 7-9 and high school 10-12
Cestii WoW Monk, awesome! I know there are a few schools like that in Ontario. what province do you live in?
I thought it was like that in all of canada lol, I'm in alberta
Cestii WoW Monk me too
Cestii WoW Monk Yeah, same for me.
Huh? Canadian here. I went to Henry Munro Middle School for grades 6 to 8. So we do have middle schools, but it depends on the province.
In Canada Elementary school is kindergarten to grade 8
High school gr 9-12
Angel La depends on the region. I'm in peel so we have something similar to america
In Alberta, Elementary Kindergarten to Grade 4
Middle: Grade 5 to 9
High: Grade 9-12
Don't know what province/territory you live in idk if it's true or not but if it is don't reference it to all of Canada.
Here in Ontario, specifically Toronto it's as said in the original comment, elementary from kindergarten to grade 8 then highschool from 9-12
ontario elementary is jk/sk - gr8 secondary is 9-12 unless you drop out lol or there is even an optional grade 13 i think lol for pussies who dont wanna get a job i assume xD
ya ik idk where they got there thing from lol
So much wrong with this video.
Poutine? Seriously?
The USA crushes Canada industrially, economically, and militarily.
New York, California, and Texas each have economies larger than that of Canada's.
You forgot to mention that minor point.
I seriously wonder where most of this Canadian data came from.
nadzjanz I don’t see what’s wrong with most of it?
Lol Were any Canadians consulted prior to posting? This is about two EHs and an about away from being satire.
I wonder the same
Ikr
In my 35yrs ive had poutine twice and once split a beaver tail with a friend. That stuff is for tourists or the odd treat. This list is pretty inaccurate for both sides. I know plenty of Canadians who hate hockey, there are several middle schools in my area of Toronto and very few people outside of Quebec and some surrounding areas speak French.
Bagged milk in Canada!
They had bagged milk like 20 years ago but nobody has it now
We have bagged Milk in Ontario. I don't know about all the other Provinces but I do know Alberta doesn't
Guns in Walmart. Alright, I’ve never bloody seen bagged milk as a Canadian who’s gone to groceries stores hundreds of times..
What I live in Ontario and theres always bagged milk. Where do u live?
Ontario has bagged milk

In Ontario we do school literally the exact same as the US... it just depends on the province and district
Darius Gray nah where i live we don’t have middle school
It’s super funny seeing Americans talk about how Canadians live
Just a tiny correction. In quebec , we have an option to either choose vocational school or college, we don't take both. College in other provinces would mean school that has most technical programs and few pre university programs while in Quebec, most courses are preparing you for university and few of the technical programs preparing you for the career they're interested in. It's a bit confusing on the qc side but you will understand
Actually we go to elementary from kindergarten to grade 8 than start high school grade 9 , I am candian and live in Saskatchewan
Sorry but hockey is way more popular in Canada than basketball.
Farmboy1544 Agree I never watch basketball
But more people play basketball
You also forgot about Junior high, which is grades 7-9

I am a Canadian, born and raised. I hate hockey because i was born to a low income family. being bullied by hockey players growing up because I couldn't afford skates or didn't know how to skate, and by local hockey fans for the same reason. So don't say every Canadian loves hockey. On the other hand, I do love 1 winter sport. originated by the Scots. Curling.
I’m wondering why didn’t they touch on gun laws
AbbeyJordyn I’ve wondered about that. Can you not own a firearm in Churchill, Manitoba to defend yourself from polar bears?
Because they would need to say that our laws are almost carbon copies and if you can own it in the States you can own it in Canada aside from attachments
But... guns are legal in Canada.
Why does everyone think canadians only eat poutine! In Quebec i eat about 3-4 a year
Boly no one thinks that. I think everyone is pretty much aware that Canadians don't eat poutine everyday...
Im from quebec and I actually eat poutine maybe 3-4 times a week. For the past 7 years
So do most of my friends and family 😂

''I live in Abbotsford, B.C. and we have middle schools''. It's as high as it goes.
Zexity YT
To make a long story short, I was once in Abbotsford in a bar with two guys from Alberta I was working with in the early eighties and when one of the locals at a table next to ours heard me say that I was from the east, he just looked at me with disdain and told me, if I remember well, to go back to my retarded outback. Lots of people around who had heard his comment found that quite funny. When I saw the name Abbotsford, it simply triggered a reflex. So, for me, Abbotsford is certainly not a good memory.
CRWC eh speak for yourself fam
Basketball has no way in hell taken over hockey lol. Basketball is definitely one of the least popular sports here. Hockey and football are definitely the highest.
Hockey and soccer, I would say. Anywhere Timbits Sports goes, the children follow...
I don't know. I live in Toronto and literally no one plays hockey. I mean, there are some teams and stuff, but basketball and soccer are probably most popular. 🏀⚽
I'm sure basketball is gaining popularity, but no way has it taken over hockey or football
Hockey for life y’all, let’s go oilers

High school can refer to schools 7-12, 9-12, 10-12.
In my city, it depends on the division you are in.
