For three years in the early 1960's I lived at the El Moli home. I was very young and I have the nicest and sweetest memories of Majorca and that wonderful seaside home with that magnificent tower. At the very top was a card room!
What a beautiful island. I see why Errol enjoyed it. He was such a good looking man and with a great sense of humor. What is there not to love about this handsome man. He died at such a young age, 50 yrs old. He belonged to that Golden Era.
My father's cousin's father took care of his boat when it stayed there. My father's uncle served him drinks in the morning at the Maricel. Many old people remember seeing him on his scooner in the port of Palma.
He has a quality sextant...maybe a Plath...this is for the camera, so he's not actually getting a sun line. It appears he was bringing the sun down to the horizon...but this was just a photo op. Clearly someone knew how to use it as they arrived in Mallorca.
