Errol Flynn's time as a "superstar" was relatively short, i.e. 1935 to about 1955, after which his fame began to fade, until his untimely death in 1959 at only age 50! However, his real life's adventures, both good & bad, were something to rival any that he played on the screen! At age 75, I only got to see a few of his movies in the theater as a child, but like most boys or young men of that time, wished that I could have lived some of them! R.I.P. Errol!
Funny that you consider " 20 ," years short because in reality Flynn is considered one of the immortals of the screen from the golden age of Hollywood...
Flynn was more than a Hollywood movie star, he was an aventurer, a man who lived life to the full, a Rabelaisin character who recognised the futility of life, Appreciated Masefields view of life.. a great trick perpetuated on humankind...
he says in "wicked ways" that he spent about 2 or 3 years doing diving in Mallorca just for fun, sometimes risking his life with short oxygen at his bottles, to get forgotten Phoenician amphors.

Agnes Moorhead was a very pretty woman.
Fantástico
An alcoholic
Michael, a dumb response. Being an alcoholic doesn't detract from his popular legacy.
