I was lucky to hoilday with my family when I was aged 9 in Majorca we stayed in Ca'n Pastilla. As a boy cars were a facination to me, so seeing those black and white Fiat taxis is so heart warming. My mother passed away 5 years ago, but my father literally soldiers on at 96 having recently remembered his time at Omaha Beach in the Medical Corp. I was lucky to have been able to enjoy a holiday such as this. Thank you Mum and Dad.

Lovely comment. Like you, as a car-addicted child, Spain was a joy in the '70s as there were so many cars unseen in the UK, some unavailable outside Spain.

Nice video; thank you for posting. As one of the comments mentions, the cars in Palma seen at 2:01 one of them is a Seat 124 and it also shows an Austin Morris, both cars introduced in Spain in 1968,
The hotel is the Hotel Playa Marina, now Europe Playa Marina in Illetas.

At 7:35 I believe that to be a view from S'Illot over the Punta d'en Amer, towards Cala Millor.

These videos are filmed in 1968 or later. Pueblo Español started on 1967 and first Citroen Dynam came to Mallorca after 1968. So the great change is done in less time. My house can be seen in these videos.

Ich bin beeindruckt. Die beste Beschreibung ist wohl "ein Mallorca, wie es heute nicht mehr existiert", sehr lehrreich.

The Autopista de Llevant at 1:52 was opened in 1969 so video dates anytime from then.

5:12 looks like Alcudia as the big white building looks like Apt. Concha del Lago. (at lago S'Estany Gran) Could somebody confirm if I am right?
