Excellent Beautiful Sublime Inmortal...el Padre TEIDE siempre majestuoso 🎼🙏🎶🎵 viví 15 años en tenerife...un fuerte abrazo desde san Juan de puerto rico 🎼
hello, greetings from Tenerife,1979 was 2 years after the terrible crash in wich a KLM 747 was involved,it is nice to see that people from the Netherlands like you kept coming in Tenerife and enjoy a holiday here, again greetings from Tenerife
I always wonder why Puerto De La Cruz was the first major tourist location for Tenerife, Without trying to answer my own question, I can only imagine that the infrastructure was there as it was a city on the island so there was bars, hospitals, already, the landscape is greener and near to the airport at the time (pre-tenerife dissaster the airport of the south didnt exist) but, its also soo much cooler and colder, especially in the evenings when the fog descends down the mountains, and the beaches are more rocky than sand. As a child I disliked going up the north as it was cold and wet, I much preffered the warmer climates of the south
Ok, done that, still none the wiser?? Can you enlighten me as to what beach the first 2 minutes of the film was shot on? ( not trying to be a smart ass, genuinely interested)
Did a little bit of digging. Thats a Catalan flag flying at 7 seconds in plus there was a Hotel called the Mar Cordal in Costa Brava. I would be confident in saying that the first beach was in fact here, tinyurl.com/hrdv5e8, at Platja D'Aro in the Spanish North East.
Actually the film I bought was without titles and contained combined holiday shots. So I made a guess. I think that this small hotel does not exist anymore, being replaced by a skyscraper one. There are a few Hotel Condal Mar 's In Girona, Barcelona. The name being preceded by Vincci or Tryp.
Definitely Tenerife, I was there in the 70s and it looks very much like the north of the island. The resorts in the south were nowhere near as established as that place appears to be, plus there is a cleat shot of Mount Teide and groups of people visiting Teide National Park.
This is NOT tenerife (beginning of video beach scene) There is Not even one Location with white Sand where Buildings are so close to the Beach. This Looks like Peninsula, Mediterraneo.
I agree. I have been to Tenerife 20+ times. There are very few natural yellow sand beaches on Tenerife - the only one I can think of is near the South airport at La Montaña Roja. All the other ones (in the South) have their sand imported from the Sahara. I have watched watched a 1981 BBC Panorama documentary about the 1980 Dan Air crash* near the North airport many times. It features a similar beach scene which I don't recognise as being on Tenerife. * I have visited the memorial Rose Garden at the Anglican church in Taoro Parque, Puerto de la Cruz a couple of times.
Great film. I was in Tenerife in 1977 so I was 10 years old, 2 weeks we were there, still I think one of my best holidays. I cried when we left. ⛱

The first couple of minutes or so looks more like Benidorm than Tenerife to me. Where on the island was that particular piece shot?
I invite you to look at another clip ruclips.net/video/EPI4EFB744Y/видео.html of the Tenerife Vacation travel guide.
