Errol Flynn deserved "Best Actor" of 1938 - the perfect match of actor and role. I agree, no one has even come close! Not Russell Crowe, not Sean Connery, not Richard Greene, and definitely not Kevin Costner! Flynn was truly an underrated actor, and not just in swashbucklers. He would be pleased to know the pleasure he has brought to successive generations.
No One can portray the characters Errol Flynn better than him. Yes, he was the greatest "Robin Hood" the "Sea Hawk" ""Captain Blood" "General Armstrong Custer" and so on.. My Dad turned us on to his movies when we were kids back in the early 1960's. The First movie we watched was "The Adventures of Robin Hood", after that...We were Hooked! We had to watch every movie that Errol Flynn was in! My Dad loved his movies that he fenced in. My Dad was a fencing instructor back in the late 50's throughout the 60's. My Dad had the chance to go to Hollywood and teach fencing to the stars! He turned it down because of us.. He had a family to support and 4 children's. He had a good job here in Connecticut, and didn't want to lose it.. I'm glad he didn't go. Otherwise I would've never met the friends I have and my wife. 🥰🤺
Rory’s got some good Aussie blood along with her Dad’s facial features .. Its good that she’s keeping his name out there because he definitely was a legend of a man, blokes & women just like men like him.

Say what you will about Max Steiner or John Williams or Miklos Rosza but there is Erich Wolfgang Korngold and then there is everyone else. Period.
