So many of Flynn's films could not have been better made by anyone

One of Flynn’s own favourites, along with “The Adventures of Robin Hood,” “Objective, Burma!,” “That Forsyte Woman,” and “The Roots of Heaven.” That he was never even nominated for an Oscar is beyond comprehension!

I have to disagree with the late Bob Osborne on his introduction that Flynn is more well known for his offscreen escapades than his talent. True, his fans know well about the Tasmanian Devil's wild lifestyle. However, his talent has become much more appreciated nowadays, perhaps compared to when he was alive. He made so many of his roles his own that you cannot imagine anyone else doing it as well.

Flynn was about 33 years when he made Gentleman Jim, not 37 as his daughter says here. Flynn was born 1909 and Gentleman Jim was made 1942.

@@johnbuckwell7249 Quite strange actually. Maybe she did a fast count during the interview. The movie is really awesome.

Same here. To me, the greatest and the very definition of "larger than life"
