  • In this video I first talk about the question I asked on the previous video about this creation. After that I go over all the changes made to the yet to be named Skaar SV POI fighter. At this point the creation is 100% complete. I will get this sent to the Anvil challenge soon but do plan on releasing it to the workshop Monday 6/24/2024.

    I am definitely all for creators building a bare bones version of their ships and a full version as they have envisioned it.

    Hey J, the new Skaar ship looks great.
    Just and FYI on Project Eden. There will be no Project Eden 2. Ravien is building everything exclusively for RE2 now. Also, having difficultly affect CPU isn't something that can be done with a scenario.

      I have found where the cpu blocks stats are located and was thinking of modifying the cpu blocks for people to be able to add a few more maybe 4 superior and 6 or 10 Quant ?!

    Beautiful ship J, on my RE 2 playthrough I just came to the point where I need a POI buster that's agile, still early game but I am trying to learn the new mechanics.
    I think gone are the days of do it all ships, we are going to need a fleet of specialised ships to do the various jobs out there.

    there's a local term we have for a really mean fly I got bitten by just today. "Stout"
    they're mean little buggers with a nasty bite, they take a chunk out of you! they're also called "Horse Flies"

    Looks great this one. It gives me Stag beetle vibes with two large pincers at the front so my suggestion is Skaar "Lucan" 👍

    I wouldn't even try to go that far. I would like to see something like the high-end parts (specifically thrusters, but there is others) that take a lot of unlock points, and rare materials would provide more bang (thrust, shield, whatever) while taking less weight (those advanced materials), AND reducing the CPU required (the advanced parts have better optimization).
    This would allow some wicked top end builds without reducing the need to gather the parts, get unlock points, etc. Then you could, for example, upgrade a thruster, gaining more agility, and allowing a small boost to available CPU to add another part, upgrade a gun, whatever you have available.
    Some smaller changes could be significant as well. RCS is a long-standing sore spot for me. They *could* be useful with a massive increase in torque. then you could spend the CPU on RCS to get some turn speed rather than trying to pack more extremely expensive thrusters that might otherwise not be needed or attractive. In RE1, the advanced RCS wasn't worth the CPU cost of the basic RCS, much less what it used.
    Linking shield strength with the heavier blocks and then adding shield pierce weapons leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Now you can have agility, or a shielded brick. A shielded brick that cannot stop all incoming damage even when its shields are still up. I was never a fan of the spinny ship design, but I cannot deny it was super effective. My attempts at shielded bricks in RE2 have just left me with high repair costs.
    The new SV looks good. I won't tell you what it looks like, but I like it.

    Nice build! I dont know if you know it but, plasma thrusters are kind of expensive. It needs plasma thigny that cost like 11k credits each...

      I have looted 12 of them on Akua starter planet so far from about 6 abandoned poi's ( small, easy ones ).
      According to Vermillion you can get a heck of a lot of rare items from just those poi's alone and he wasn't lying.

    Unfortunately you aren't going to be able to use this on most poi's as the ae flak shield pen at the moment on most poi's opv's will wreck it pretty fast. Will be interesting to see if it can actually dodge the flak though. Love the design

    The option is to play a fork of RE2 like Ad Astra but I know that's not what you mean. I believe that it isn't possible to slide CPU with difficulty. I would leave the warp drive out and put more shield boosters in.

    in RE1 they had it so u could make what ever you could dream up with the Quantum core's yes it was a endgame thing but it did give us that creativity and made the game be playable for as long as you wanted if u wanted to go super crazy like a 86 Quantum core monster that could blow up everything sadly in RE2 they have so far stopped that because ppl would end up with the massive crazy things that lag servers.

      I released a RE2 version Helios-MSC2. There is a link for it on the Helios-MSC2 workshop post. The recent Makar-ASC release can do Helios modules too. Also, I released a Plutus-M3 module miner now too. Some other modules may need updates but production and farming modules I think worked as normal. I hope that helps. Thanks again!
