I remember when I was little (playing the PS1 version) I'd watch the demos and I used to feel bad because the driver/player couldn't make it alive and was caught by the police, so you can imagine how happy I was when the driver escapes from the police in the San Francisco demo at night ;)
I remember watching these on my PC version of Driver so often as a kid, especially loved the rainy nighttime ones and wished i could have stormy weather in take a ride...
3:19 I believe I can fly 😆
I always curious how demos in PC look like.
When I 1st played the PC version I wasn't aware that they weren't the same demos as the PS1 version, but I could tell sOME things didn't match. For instance the PC demos are "take a ride" demos (just like in Driver 2) while the PS1 demos are "getaway" demos (survival for the San Francisco at Day demo)
no eurodemo yellow buick? :(
0:57 😂
Beautiful game, one of my favourite of ps1
these can be played by the player as well. for psx you need a cheat to modify what mission id your on to be the replay mission id. for pc you can probably rename the replay mission id to one of the take a ride mission ids (make sure to make a backup).
I had some chasing replay with no damage and absolutely gone away from cops.
But, i need to move it from ps1 memory card to watch again and again.. anyone know how to do it?
where gives the 60 fps Mod for Driver 1 on PS1 Emulator?
I don't know if there's a mod for it but i'm using a frame interpolator for the video.
I know what I'm about to say is mostly unrelated to the video, but holy hell the music in PC version is ATROCIOUS. What the hell am I playing, a high-octane chase-fueled driving game or Sheep, Dog 'n Wolf? It wouldn't even work all that well there as this doesn't even sound cartoonish enough! Hope it wasn't Allister Brimble who wrote this crap, as that'd be a major disappointment in my book.
??? I think there might be some cultural divide going on here; the music is inspired by 70's 80's jazz/funk, especially music that was played during intense scenes in silver age american cinema. The music isn't intended to sound "cartoonish" at all.
You;re wrong as heck, i love PC versions music. I like PS1 music too. Its licensed funk songs from some library if i recall correctly. My only gripe its slightly repeatetive as its only 1 song per city, i wish it had couple more for mission's sake atleast.
You probably have no culture of the 70s action/cop movies. The pc music was directly inspired from that... I love both versions in this regard.
@clementm9161 I'm not into 70s jazz/funk, also it doesn't help that I grew up playing the ps1 version xD so I naturally love the ps1 music much more
