I love these. I got lucky with these pair cause I got them on Black Friday and with my Apple ecosystem the beats was a no brainer. I would love to get the AirPods Max but there is no chance in hell I’ll pay over $400 for headphones. I got the studio pro for $169. It sounds amazing and worth every penny.
I have lived mine. The touch controls, the comfort, spatial audio etc I truly think these are as good or close as my maxes at a much lower price. Beats have come along way. Another fantastic video!
I got these myself as an upgrade over the studio three. Actually, I still like the studio three, but I thought I would have a second set of headphones to use while the other charges. You know how that is. So I decided to get these. To address your earlier concern about breaking the headphones, while folding them, that is one of the characteristics that was carried over from the studio three, and I’ve owned that for quite some time. And I can tell you that that snapping sound is not an indication that they will break. It’s simply a hidden clasp that holds them straight for you. And before you review a headset like that, I think it would also be a good idea for you to analyze how well they sound playing movies as well as music. As for the three profiles, that is, the ones that you mentioned with USB-C audio, they will also work on Mac computers. And it is nice to be able to listen while they charge. So that’s an extra added bonus. But I think you’ll find that despite them being made of plastic, it’s a very high-quality plastic.
Nah, not so much, I own 3 pairs., my oldest pair were a beats studio 2 (the wired ones) 2 pairs of beats studio 3s, powerbeats pro etc., I well known the brand. But all of my 3 studios break just in that plasticky hinge, all of them, and one of them also on the plastic inner cover of the cup, which makes them really hard to repair on that point, so the only way is get a new ones 😒😒. And these Studio "Pros" looks exactly the same plasticky feel. PS: I only used my previous beats for gym, and I took care of them very well. Cheers 👋
Got two pairs of studio 3s love them had for years like my studio 2s because they get louder for gym use but 3s have better battery and quicker charging think studio fit pros and 3s are best beats headphones to have atm
The big negative with these headphones for people like me who are deeply into the Apple ecosystem is the lack of H1 chip. I'm not sure why AAPL chose not to include it, but the H1 chip functionality is one of the main reasons I use my AirPods Max over my (ancient) Beats Solo headphones. Beyond that, I really prefer the knurled knob for adjusting volume on the AirPods Max rather than the more finicky up/down buttons on the Beats. I just hope that AAPL brings out a new version of the AirPods Max soon, giving us the features of the Beats Studio Pros along with those two uniquely Apple features the Beats lack. Oh, and I REALLY like the replaceable ear cups on the AirPods Max, since despite my best efforts to keep my APMs out of his reach, my puppy has managed to jump up on counters and duck behind barriers to "attack" my APMs. The ear cups tend to fall off first, meaning he's likely to attack them rather than the body of the APMs. I now keep a spare set of ear cups available at all times. So I certainly hope a new version of the APMs keeps this feature.
The chip is absent because they wanted it to be cross platform I suppose. And I'd be extremely surprised if Airpods Max 2 aren't just around the corner ;)
@@PatrickRambles That makes sense. Thanks for the response and also for a very helpful video in the first place. I agree that APM 2.0 are just around the corner. That's why I was staking out the features I think are critical 😎 if I'm even going to consider forking over the ridiculous amount of money I'm sure they will end up costing.
I don’t really understand why they don’t kept the automatic on/off like in the weaker solo pro that I owned before. It’s frustrating to hit that tiny button and then also find the exact timing to turn them on or off and not for example go into pairing mode. I also underestimated how much this would annoy me.
When I tried them with USB-C on my iPhone, the volume was somehow lower than it was over Bluetooth on the same volume level. I'm a bit disappointed since I wanted to see if I would be blown away by lossless.
Best Buy already has them $100 off which is pretty wild to have a product, technically made by Apple, to ever be discounted that much in such a short amount of time. Scooping the beige ones up today for review! Thanks for sharing.
Amazon just had a sale on these for 199. Snagged a pair of the same brown color you have. Can’t wait to try them out here in a few days when they arrive. Apparently the lossless audio and EQ settings can work on an iPhone but you have to buy a “lightning to camera” adapter dongle.
As someone who has an iphone and a zfold, these make perfect sense. However, the price is a little high when there are better rated sound quality options out there, albeit without the automagic inital pairing feature.
I too have Android and Apple. I got mine last Thursday from Apple UK Store in London and love them. Since I already have the Beats Fit Pro as well I knew they would work with my Xperia 1 v.
If the portability, small form factor, sound quality are important, you would've been better off by MILES with a Bose QuiteComfort or QuiteComfort Ultras.
Brought these on prime day for 179, returned. v shaped Sound and the bass region isn’t articulate. Once note. Subtile changes are absent. And I like bass. High end is attenuated, strangely. And they say these improved so much. Good god. I can only imagine what the earlier versions sounded like. Came from the Sony xM2s. Going to upgrade to upgrade the 5s. Trying to save some money 😂😂😂
I got mine today. I do like them but after a couple of hours the pressure around my ears caused pain and I developed a headache. I do have a large head and find they do clamp on my head heavily. Patrick, do you really think they’ll ease up after a couple of days? Bought from Apple so have 14 days to try out. Thanks
Working today and have been wearing them since around 6:30am. Seem better today. When you say let them out a little, you mean extend the arms? @@PatrickRambles
Excellent headphones! Compared to my Focal Celestees the beats were comparable in sound quality. Obviously not as good but at the same time not blown away either. Highly recommend!
Did you know how lucky we are that apple bought beats!? Oh and the longevity of these amazing sounding headphones is forever. They never stop working. Plus if you really needed to, you can replace the hinges and repair easily!!! These headphones can last a lifetime.
Nice video, I have the same Beats but I have a huge problem, and is that my pc (Windows 10 OS) doesn't have Bluetooth so I have to plug in the Beats. The problem is that, I don't know why but first of all, the audio sucks, but it's not that bad, and second I am no able to use the microphone, It just does not recognize it. I use the "Y" jack 3.5mm adapter btw cause my computer have like two entrances one pink for micro and green for audio, I've tried everything even drivers, but still nothing, any idea?
I had the same problem (for the microphone part, I was never able to fix it) 1st try using the USBC instead (if your pc has the USBC port) secondly there might be settings that let you change the Audio profile my pc has Dolby, so I turned on the Dolby effects for all peripheral devices. (I'm on windows 11 so idk if yours has this setting *cuz I never used W10 b4* but if it does, do this:) Head to your normal settings and follow these: Setting>System>Sound> Scroll until you find mono Audio, switch it off then> Scroll down to the advanced settings section>Sound devices>find your device in the input/output section (since yours's is wired it'll probably be in the output section)> click it> scroll down to the format option and choose what sound format you want (the greater the better) If your device doesn't show up in the Output section just change the settings on the "Headphone jack" option instead. for the mono audio switch, you don't really have to, it's just a preference for me since I like to have distinct sound coming from both headphone speaker. Maybe this might also help you with your microphone problem.
