That’s because we’re SERIOUS about high quality listening experiences over here!!😂😂 Or it could just be that I easily obsess over things and hi-fi audio has become one of them.🤷🏾♂️ Either way, I’m glad you found what you were looking for!😁
Thank you for a solid review. Some reviewers make me feel as if they believe Rock or “Folk” music are the only valid sound signatures. I watched a review yesterday where the RUclipsr (Mike O’brian) was a monument to ignorance. According to him “most people only buy Beats for their looks”. Forget about millions who love Rap, Dance, Electronica and other bass rich genres. Beats has it’s flaws but for people who love music with a bottom, they were better than most.
And that’s why representation is important. All music is valid as a form of artistic self expression and to discount one sound profile over another is not ok. We can get objective about the width of the frequency spectrum a pair of headphones reproduces and the LUFS scale vs RMS levels but audition is highly subjective, so let’s all just enjoy what we enjoy and be sure we have enough perspectives for people to make informed purchasing decisions.
@@TshakaArmstrongYes! Representation is the difference between practically being dismissed as a Poser and listening to a review about the PRODUCT’S sound signature.
Thank you for the video, inspite not the point here I especially appreciate the song hints, with which I just tested through my earbuds (turns out lady blacksmith mambazo is amazing with beads studio buds plus!). Did you have the chance to compare the pros with the AirPods Max, your opinion on that would interest me a lot.
I am glad about this review. Not only did you use different devices but also different audio formats. Most of the other reviews did not really get into that but I like a review to be as complete as possible. Thank you and subscribed 😎
Currently have the Sony Link Buds S and am looking to have these be my over ear headphones. Great video to help set my expecations for its sound quality and ANC.
Update: Just picked them up and it looks like I have a dud as there’s a hiss on the left side with ANC on, along with an overall weaker sound on the left compared to the right. Bummer.
Shoutout to the paul Simon Graceland album being played. Received my navy Beats Pro Thursday as released Wednesday in uk. I like them a lot and enjoying using them. I recommend pink Floyd high hopes as well. Also for iOS users if you’re struggling to mess with the small power button to toggle noise cancellation just say hey siri turn on / off whatever you need transparency or noise cancellation. Or use Apple Watch which will always have the now playing screen on and bottom left of screen toggle options are there. Great review👍
Welcome back ! Awesome review. What are your thoughts on microphone volume levels. I connected to my windows pc via Bluetooth and the microphone volume was too low to be useful.
Great review. Nice and thorough too. But you forgot to mention the lack of higher-resolution Bluetooth codecs (LDAC or AptX). Granted, those codecs are not available on any Apple devices, but they are standard on most modern Androids, and as long as they've done such a good job with Android compatibility, I'm really surprised they didn't take that final leap and include a high-res codec, especially at this price point and being the Beats brand's flagship product.
You’re absolutely right. Thing is, after a listen, quite frankly I don’t think anyone is missing out because of it. Apple Lossless and Dolby Atmos sound delightful regardless. I think that if one were able to load AptX or LDAC support to a reference pair of Beats Studio Pros and you had the retail version and did a blind listening test of the average consumer of the product, very few would be able to discern the difference. That isn’t an excuse NOT to include it, but rather, the reason I think they left it out… that and licensing fees which Apple is NOT quick to pay.😂
That’s because apple uses there own codecs so with the hi res lossless and Dolby atmos and spatial audio. Which android don’t have it works for the beats and max perfect example use a pair of Sony xm5 the quality sounds different on android then apple device but with the beats and max I can honestly say they sound better with spatial audio and Dolby and lossless oh and tweak the eq a bit you get great sound out of these which is missing on Sony Bose and other headphones. So it’s kind of a trade off
I am a Bass head and thats why i love beats. In terms of bass will i be fine with these? Also if standard doesnt do it for me will an equalizer get me that heavy Beats bass without sacrificing sound?
🇬🇧 Salutations Tshaka amazing in depth review.Just a random question which MJ album produced by Q do think sonically is the best sounding and why. Any thoughts on Sony WH 1000 M4/5 Vs new Beats studio. Thanks
That’s an excellent question and one I have yet to have pondered/investigated. Guess I know what I’ll be listening to for the next couple weeks.😂 As far as Sony v Beats: Beats’ b-curve profile is a deeper v than Sony, though their bass reproduction is quite similar. You’re going to get more mids w/Sony, thicker ear pads and slightly more efficient noise cancellation. I prefer Beats mechanical buttons, and clamping force for gym use. I think it really depends on ones lifestyle to determine which is more suitable. If gym/fit is life, Beats. If not, whichever sound profile best suits your listening habits.
I look forward to your answer of which album you think Sonically sounds the best. Look out for the documentary about the making of Thriller Sonic Fantasy.
Actually my head is small and slim. And the stems of my glasses are slightly longer. I have tried a lot of over ear headphones and I feel that they are quite tight that makes me feel painful. So I am not sure if this one will be the same
I have a Pixel 7 Pro and a Surface Pro 9 Windows Laptop. Does the multipoint work between those two? I also use a Mac for my work. I assume that multipoint won't work between my Pixel and Mac. Am I right?
@@TshakaArmstrong Awesome. You mentioned in your video that you are able to switch back and forth between your Pixel and Surface laptop. Why then do you need to 'assume'? One last Q. I have a Bose QC45. In your opinion, how is the ANC performance of Studio Pro compared to Bose QC45? Also, how about the comfort of Studio Pro compared to Bose QC45? Please let me know. And, Thank you very much for your reply. Loved your review of the product.
@@TshakaArmstrong thank you ..very helpful...one last Q...one small Q. At the local best buy, they have only the Studio 3 for trial. The ear cups were more like on ear style. How is it with the Studio Pro? Are they going around the ear like Bose QC45?
@electrology Studio Pro is definitely circumaural, around ear and not on ear. THAT SAID, if the Studio3 felt like on ear to you, theee may feel the same. The around ear fit is similar with better padding than the 3’s.
@@TshakaArmstrong today, I just picked them up, when I got home I took a listen and was disappointed. The audio is very neutral and has disappointing bass, but mostly it’s the price, the Sony xm5s are better for the price, and honestly the AirPods Pro 2 are better for the price even though it’s earbuds. But it’s completely my own opinion, the audio has no sound stage, the bass is lacking, and the price is inflated, they’re a yearbehind every other brand
@@Hehe778s Have you ever heard about an equalizer?! On Samsung music you can even test your hearing when after finishing it, it lets you listen to the music the way it is supposed to be.
That's an opinion. Headphones are very personal, even moreso than speakers. Also, whenever you try a particular pair of headphones for the first time, you need to give your ears some time to adapt to the new sound profile. Personally, I've not been a fan of Beats in the past with their overblown bass and muddy mids and highs. But I gave these a listen and was pleasantly surprised. Nicely balanced, while still having good bass extension. And as another commenter noted, you might find that a bit of tweaking with the equalizer can go a long way.
Thanks, you answered my question about the DAC that I couldn't find from other reviewers.

The overall sound profile is much more neutral than the 3’s but the bass is still punchy. In that regard, it is “better.”
