My husband has a pair and I hate them. He uses them to watch tv on his iPad in bed at night. With his old ear buds I could still talk to him and he would hear me. With these I practically have to smack the shit out of him for him to realize I'm trying to speak to him. I suppose that means the noise cancelation is great. 😒

Noise isolation, not noise cancellation. These don't have noise cancellation. All in-ear head phones have some degree of noise isolation.

I went snorkeling and forgot that they were in my pocket... I was in the ocean about 20 minutes with them... Afterward, I let them dry 24 hours, turned them on, and they still worked!!!

At least look into something somewhat passible ie. jaybirds or some shit.
I got a pair of beats x today and I am so happy with them, I have really small ear canals and ears, so I have never found ear buds that don't hurt or fall out but after changing the ear tips and putting on the small wing tips they fit beautifully and sound great.
Thanks for pointing out that you can sleep with them. I do this every night, with rain generator, I’m more worried about the longevity of the cords them selfs....l
Fucking amazing earbuds. They sound great. they're light weight as fuck. The battery life is good. No fucking cables going to your phone. I can leave my phone charging and still walk around the house listening to my jams. It's also the first pair of Bluetooth earbuds I've owned so yeah pretty fucking impressive I could never go back to cable earphones or headphones. I've been hitting the gym a lot lately and they work just fine. The Powerbeats seem pretty fucking pointless when you can get these for cheaper. Doesn't take much away from your workout. Also I wear glasses and usually wear a hat so there's already enough going on around the top of my ear and the design of the Powerbeats with the clip that goes on over the ear is just too much. Get these instead.
Only problem I've had is that I noticed that the regular stock lighting cable apple eadpods sound better idk if something is wrong.... I can hear more of the instruments in the songs and the the apple ones sound like they have more bass. Beats make a loud almost ear rape sound when I turn the music up.

I brought a pair for my birthday for $100 and they hands down are some of the best sounding ear buds that I have bought. I use them to ride to work and xc mtb they stay in my ears and thats about all I care about that and sound
I HATE those gel earbuds, but these don't bother me that much. They're not as much gel / jelly as they are soft silicon (not saying that's what it's made out of because idk, just saying they feel like that). I was surprised because I was certain I would hate the gel earbuds & would have to return them. The cord IS kinda long I guess -- now that I read more comments saying how long it is, but you don't really care after wearing them for a while. They're useful. Sound is good. Quality of the earbuds are great. They stay around my neck & I don't have to use any clip to make it stay still They're on sale here & there for $100 (before tax), so I would wait for those sales to buy them.
I just got them and 4 days in I find myself using them all the time. I use them a lot on my motorcycle. Loving these things!!! I was able to pick them up for 80 USD. Sale is no longer as of now.
The fact that it charges quickly and has a ton of battery life has made these my best investment by far this year. Awesome to use while I'm at work, minding my own business for 8 or 9 hours. The sound quality could be a little bit better, but I would never trade the battery life for that so I'm fine with that.
I have had my Beats X for almost 4 weeks now using them on my daily commute and think they are superb earphones. Don't listen to the Beats and Apple knockers these are quality earphones, excellent build and superb sound. At the moment people are offering them for sale on eBay unboxed at a very good price. I picked mine up for £60 just after Christmas.
I've had the Powebeats 2 and 3 for over 3 years now (first 2, then bought the 3's a 1.5 years ago) and they are amazing. The battery life is extreme and they charge up superfast, great sound etc. But honestly, I didn't wear them as much whilst working out and it turns out i only like to listen to music when i run/walk. So i figured i'd be good with another device, therefore I'm lookin' at these. I'm under the impression that they are the same earbuds, just without the hoop and slightly shorter battery life. These looks amazing.
Just got them today, the sound is surprisingly a non beats sound, no overuse of base so quite balanced. I've found the beats sound a bit weird. I listen to a fair bit of bass heavy music but the Beats bass just thumps out certain frequencies at higher levels opposed to exposing the full range of bass notes that have been produced. At this price point your paying for the convenience of a bluetooth headphone, build is decent and connection to the iPhone is solid. Nice to be cable free from the phone. You have to consider you're playing compressed music over bluetooth in an in ear earphone. The difference between my wired Beyerdynamics DT 770's is pretty much night and day. The Beats don't give you the warm low ends that an over ear wired headphones can and if you listen to base heavy music such as drum and bass then you won't get that rolling low end. That said as a bluetooth option I prefer these than the Airpods, the magnet connection to make a necklace is really useful and as a daily driver for radio, podcasts, connectivity (inc W1 chip), price point and sound then these are a pretty solid buy

And the sound quality difference you're hearing between these and your beyers isn't wired vs wireless...cmon now. You're comparing earbuds with over ears that have drivers 20x wider, and one of them is from an actual headphone company. Apples to oranges is an understatement, and something tells me you don't have the ears to differentiate wired and wireless, all else being equal

I'm not a beats fan but this headphone is more balanced compared to other beats & produces a balanced sound for your average consumer. There is also something to be said for wired v wireless sound. You can put the Bose QC35's up against my DT's or say the HD'1s and the frequency range just isn't there in the wireless. Compression through apps like spotify, apple music etc over wireless does effect the range that you eventually listen to.
Do you leave them on when you're not using them for any incoming calls? Or when you get a call do you have to turn it back on and then answer the call once the beats x have synced back up to your phone?
Solid review👍🏾 Had mine for a month and Im liking them a lot better than the Jaybirds I use to own. The noise cancelling and comfort is so good(wear'em at bedtime to listen to classical music: ). Got the black color ones, but I really want to get the blue ones too:)

Question: if you initiate a call on your Apple Watch or you accept an incoming call by tapping the Apple Watch screen, will the call audio go to the BeatsX headphones or will it still play out of the Apple Watch speaker?

I have some, been having them since February of this year but not really. Here’s a MAJOR issue that I’ve had; I’ve had to replace these 3 TIMES!! I am on my fourth pair, including the original purchase, I hate how they just don’t want to turn on or charge after 3-4 weeks. I don’t know why it happens to me but I seem to not be the only one with the problem because I read an Apple forum that talks about many people having this problem too. I REALLY love them and enjoy them I just wish they wouldn’t go out after 3-4 weeks. Hopefully this fourth pair is my last and will last me longer than 3-4 weeks.
Mine stopped working after 2 months. Buttons don't work. The volume goes up and down by itself and skips tracks at random. Will see how I go with warranty
Great video. I concur 100%. I bought a customized 2017 iMac and received my Beats X earbuds free. I could have chosen the Beats Solo Wireless Headphones, which normally I would have considered the obvious choice, but I had just bought a pair a few weeks ago. I figured I would never use them or give them away. I tried them once for my daily walk with my dog and I was hooked. The point is, I had no intention of liking them but they have preempted my anticipated buy of Air Pods.
Mine don’t automatically connect every time. Sometimes I have to plug them in and out and turn them on again several times to get connected. It’s frustrating but I can switch back and forth with my iPad easily so I like that. The battery life is great and I like how my phone shows the level I have left.
Got a steal with these bought them for $99 on Black Friday. I really like these compared to my old wireless earphones. They were too bulky and these are very slim and stylish.
Love them! Wasn't sure if I'd end up returning them to try the AirPods but I ended up keeping them because I hated the way EarPods fit in my ears and I'm a huge fan of just drowning out the world with noise cancellation. Never been a fan of Beats, but seeing how this is one of the best values in Bluetooth earbuds, I gave them a try and was seriously surprised to find myself just wearing them everywhere I go. And the charge is ridiculous. I can easily get 2-3 days of use out of these buds, they hold a charge for several days if I do end up not using them and they charge OBSCENELY fast. I can easily get 1-2 days of use from a 30 minute charge, and full use out of an hour or so. It's crazy.
TigerBait2780 there isn't active noise cancellation on the Beats X, yes, but the seal the in-ear buds create does a good job of blocking outside noise, much more so than the open design of the AirPods.
Why does not review ever mention the microphonics. I loved almost everything about the BeatsX until my wife and I noticed how bad the cable noise is. You really hear them anytime they touch something and the rattling is very distracting.
Marwa Sa no the microphone itself is fine. What the problem is that the microphonics are loud. What that means is that when you bump the cord slightly that sound travels all the way into the speaker and you hear it loudly in your ear. Good ear buds block this sound by either looping around your ear or having something to absorb sound when you brush against something. These do not so every time they brush your face you hear it loudly. It becomes distracting.

Yo the fucking craziest shit happened to me while watching the video. Was watching with my own BeatX to test it as mine are fairly new, and when he started talking about battery life and his "lullaby usage" the low battery sound played on my headphones. Thought he had included it in the video, but realised shortly after it was just a wild coincidence.
I have frequent problems picking up phone calls when listening to podcast. Also unreliable disconnecting of the beatx. After disconnecting beatsx, phone calls and Siri will often not work. Iphone 6plus with ios 10.2.1....
David I've tried both sides as my ears struggle to get a good fit with most noise reduction ear buds. Rather than wearing them on the opposite side, I find they work best by wrapping the cord over my ear which means they are upside down and the noise cancelling is perfect and the fit is better.
Is this reliable for iphone 6? I mean does it connect fast and reliable for stable connection. Cuz iphone 6 nowadays are slow compare to other apple products
i own a pair the battery lifesucks after a month or so along with the mic sucks as well . it has to be right on your mouth, which isnt always the case with the flappy cords
Bought a pair and returned them! Bought refurbished and didn’t like the sound and missing a pair of the earbud tips (probably the size that would have fit best and create the suction cup feel) got the air pods and sound is much better!

Cult of Mac when I bought the refurbished it was missing a pair of earbuds so I never got to experience the sound of them and air pods so far are great and no issues!

They sound great although my experience with them wasn't so great, as I had to go to the Apple Store for the second time to replace them, bought the first pair when they came out and I had issues with them not connecting to my iPhone, so had to replace them. Both pairs have lasted me for about 1.5-2 months each, I'm hoping that the 3d pair I got 2 days ago will last me longer as I can't use cable earbuds now and the AirPods don't fit my ears. Finally a review that covers the mic quality!
Question: if you initiate a call on your Apple Watch or you accept an incoming call by tapping the Apple Watch screen, will the call audio go to the BeatsX headphones or will it still play out of the Apple Watch speaker?
Im confused the video is from the beginning of 2017 now it’s 2018 you if you go to the apple website and search them there is a label with „new” but why are they new if they are 1 year old
I have some, been having them since February of this year but not really. Here’s a MAJOR issue that I’ve had; I’ve had to replace these 3 TIMES!! I am on my fourth pair, including the original purchase, I hate how they just don’t want to turn on or charge after 3-4 weeks. I don’t know why it happens to me but I seem to not be the only one with the problem because I read an Apple forum that talks about many people having this problem too. I REALLY love them and enjoy them I just wish they wouldn’t go out after 3-4 weeks. Hopefully this fourth pair is my last and will last me longer than 3-4 weeks.

Mine stopped working after 2 months. Buttons don't work. The volume goes up and down by itself and skips tracks at random. Will see how I go with warranty
Great video. I concur 100%. I bought a customized 2017 iMac and received my Beats X earbuds free. I could have chosen the Beats Solo Wireless Headphones, which normally I would have considered the obvious choice, but I had just bought a pair a few weeks ago. I figured I would never use them or give them away. I tried them once for my daily walk with my dog and I was hooked. The point is, I had no intention of liking them but they have preempted my anticipated buy of Air Pods.

Mine don’t automatically connect every time. Sometimes I have to plug them in and out and turn them on again several times to get connected. It’s frustrating but I can switch back and forth with my iPad easily so I like that. The battery life is great and I like how my phone shows the level I have left.
I only had that issue the first couple of times. After that, it would pair up as soon as I turned on the blutooth on my phone & buds.

Is it just me or for some reason the left ear bud is louder than the right? Even after playing around with the L+R speaker sound settings.
Got a steal with these bought them for $99 on Black Friday. I really like these compared to my old wireless earphones. They were too bulky and these are very slim and stylish.
I love these headphones for all the reasons you do. The only thing I find annoying is the length of the wire itself.
Love them! Wasn't sure if I'd end up returning them to try the AirPods but I ended up keeping them because I hated the way EarPods fit in my ears and I'm a huge fan of just drowning out the world with noise cancellation. Never been a fan of Beats, but seeing how this is one of the best values in Bluetooth earbuds, I gave them a try and was seriously surprised to find myself just wearing them everywhere I go. And the charge is ridiculous. I can easily get 2-3 days of use out of these buds, they hold a charge for several days if I do end up not using them and they charge OBSCENELY fast. I can easily get 1-2 days of use from a 30 minute charge, and full use out of an hour or so. It's crazy.
Tylor Sweeney well then you're out of luck, because there's no noise cancellation on these.
TigerBait2780 there isn't active noise cancellation on the Beats X, yes, but the seal the in-ear buds create does a good job of blocking outside noise, much more so than the open design of the AirPods.
Why does not review ever mention the microphonics. I loved almost everything about the BeatsX until my wife and I noticed how bad the cable noise is. You really hear them anytime they touch something and the rattling is very distracting.

Marwa Sa no the microphone itself is fine. What the problem is that the microphonics are loud. What that means is that when you bump the cord slightly that sound travels all the way into the speaker and you hear it loudly in your ear. Good ear buds block this sound by either looping around your ear or having something to absorb sound when you brush against something. These do not so every time they brush your face you hear it loudly. It becomes distracting.

Marwa Sa not your voice. When the cord bumps against something that sound of the ribbing of the cord on say your face or your shirt goes all the way up the cord into the earbud

Yo the fucking craziest shit happened to me while watching the video. Was watching with my own BeatX to test it as mine are fairly new, and when he started talking about battery life and his "lullaby usage" the low battery sound played on my headphones. Thought he had included it in the video, but realised shortly after it was just a wild coincidence.
I have frequent problems picking up phone calls when listening to podcast. Also unreliable disconnecting of the beatx. After disconnecting beatsx, phone calls and Siri will often not work. Iphone 6plus with ios 10.2.1....

Anyone else wear them with the mic on the right? They seem to fit better that way...
David I've tried both sides as my ears struggle to get a good fit with most noise reduction ear buds. Rather than wearing them on the opposite side, I find they work best by wrapping the cord over my ear which means they are upside down and the noise cancelling is perfect and the fit is better.

Is this reliable for iphone 6? I mean does it connect fast and reliable for stable connection. Cuz iphone 6 nowadays are slow compare to other apple products
i own a pair the battery lifesucks after a month or so along with the mic sucks as well . it has to be right on your mouth, which isnt always the case with the flappy cords
Bought a pair and returned them! Bought refurbished and didn’t like the sound and missing a pair of the earbud tips (probably the size that would have fit best and create the suction cup feel) got the air pods and sound is much better!
I’ve recently give the AirPods another shot, while I still prefer the sound and fit of the Beats, I do love the AirPods. Plus the beats have a battery issue
Cult of Mac when I bought the refurbished it was missing a pair of earbuds so I never got to experience the sound of them and air pods so far are great and no issues!

they don't get in the way too much, but depending on the length of your neck and face, you may get an undesirable librarian-with-cords-on-her-glasses look.

Until 1:15 you *Accidentally* turn up the volume but when you try to turn it down. The next song comes up next TURN DOWN FOR WHAT? soo... I jacked up my volume to the max and killed my ear drum.

I get alot of interference or even dropping out if i am in the city or crowded area, not sure if anyone else has experienced similar issue

They sound great although my experience with them wasn't so great, as I had to go to the Apple Store for the second time to replace them, bought the first pair when they came out and I had issues with them not connecting to my iPhone, so had to replace them.
Both pairs have lasted me for about 1.5-2 months each, I'm hoping that the 3d pair I got 2 days ago will last me longer as I can't use cable earbuds now and the AirPods don't fit my ears. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered the same problem with Bluetooth connectivity with their earbuds.

I love My beats x....Ive always had beats headphones for years such as beats solo 1 2 3 but since ive had beats x the sound its perfect and best buy i have done in 2017

The volume button came off after 3 days just by taking them out of the case

If I could come up with more money to get them I would. I just got a pair of AirPods and I love them. The fact that I can still hear is nice. But I can't keep them in for more than maybe an hour and a half. But it's been getting better as the more I wear them I'm getting more comfortable to them

these would be great headphones but they're just not loud enough for me. I'm a truck driver so I was looking for wireless headphones to use the phone. the noise cancelation is amazing but I listen to hip hop and there's some songs that require me to Blast the music and these just are not loud at all. they are very comfortable tho I wore them for 8 hours and didn't have any soreness. 4/5 mainly because the volume
