This was a very helpful video. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it myself, but it went off without a hitch. Thank you!
Glad it helped. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos. Thanks!
It really helped me a lot to change this battery smoothly.

"You're welcome to stay while I put all the screws back in." this guy is cool.
Lol
thank you so much! It was reassuring that you didn't speed up the adhesive cleaning. I was pretty much able to follow along at real time.

I totally agree one of the most annoying things any tech tip channel can do is speeding stuff up.
Yup, but they design their content for entertainment, not to be helpful. My videos don't get as many views because of it :(
Followed this to replace my battery, perfect instruction, clear directions, had it all done in about 45 minutes from to back...then a week later I bought a new laptop...such is life...

Lol what happened with the other laptop?
thank you so much! Very detailed video! :)

Thank you, I've actually watch a few tutorials on how to replace the battery but this is by far the easiest to understand step by step - holding the power on knob to drain the battery after disconnecting the battery is a good advise.
Btw, the green light on my magsafe 2 keep on blinking everytime I plug it and it won't charge, I've change the dc plug board but it's still blinking (I've also reset the pram and smc) do I need to replace the charger or the battery (I check the battery health and its status "good")? or should I downgrade the Mac os (recently I upgrade to big sur).
Possibly the charger.
Thanks!
Glad it helped. Thanks for the support!
Thanks man!! Very detailed video! Can you also make a video of a thorough cleaning of macbook pros? Thank you.
I just brush with a toothbrush and use an electric air blower.
You are right If one uses dental floss or cord one should bind it to the handles of a tool to avoid hurting your fingers.
Yup
Mate!! Perfect video. Exactly what I needed. Thanks heaps :-)

Thanks again for these amazing videos Binh. Helpful is an understatement. Will an A1582 battery be compatible with a MacBook Pro Retina 13 from late 2014?
There's no such thing as a late 2014 model. I can look it up with the serial number.
You’re right. It’s a mid 2014 so I think I’m good to go with the A1582/A1502@@ItsBinhRepaired
I hate how RUclips doesn't notify me of replies. Were you able to figure it out?
@@ItsBinhRepaired I got it figured out thanks so much. You are a godsend man. Your no-nonsense videos gave me the confidence to send it and bring two laptops of ours back to life.
@@osmanhempwick awesome!
Thanks, was able to replace the battery but now some keys are not working. SMC reset didn’t fix it
Sounds like you might have damaged the keyboard connector.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I think I’m ok now. I went into recovery and turned off FileVault. Since the numbers work I changed my password to numbers in recovery. Once the decryption complete it appears to be working again. Going to turn on FileVault again to see if it breaks it again.

Allow me a few questions. Which brand of the battery did you use for the replacement? How well has the battery performed over time? Does it still hold its capacity well after 2 years? And there is this voltage difference as someone else already pointed out - the original 2013 battery was 11.34 volts, the replacement is 11.42 volts. Have you had any issues with the Macbook whatsoever since the battery replacement? In any case, a great video! Thanks!
Not sure. It was a customer's computer. They didn't bring it back. I usually like this brand amzn.to/3tY4LSi
Thanks@@ItsBinhRepaired. So what is your experience in general with these 3rd party batteries? Do they hold up well over time? Is their performance similar to originals? And what about the voltage difference? Should I be concerned with it?
@@phtady They seem to do well. Just don't leave them sitting at 100% charging when the computer isn't being used. Other than that, they seem to hold up well.
Thanks Binh! So is it safe to assume that an A1402 would be compatible in a late 2014 13" Retina MacBook Pro? My guess would be it's fine if they work in the Mid 2014 computers.
A1402?
@@ItsBinhRepaired
Sorry, I meant A1502. Would that battery be fine in that computer from late 2014?
My main concern is the different voltage. From what I’ve gathered it should be fine unless the late 2014 MacBook is special and requires the A1493. Not sure. I logged into a different yt account to like this video twice bc it’s so helpful. Anyway you got a new sub too.

Hello, I bought a battery replacement that says is compatible for { end 2013, mid 2014, beginning 2015 } and took it to someone to make the replacement who told me the parts on the right end and the left end are slightly too big for this model. I have a mid 2014 and all the batteries I find have the same compatibility for 2013-2014-2015, I'm wondering if you'd know how to find the proper mid 2014 model please ?
What do they mean too large?
@@ItsBinhRepaired he said the pieces on the sides are too big. After doing research and not finding a different version, I checked the battery and saw that the packaging is taking some more space at the bottom of the end pieces and am thinking maybe they just seemed to big and are not. But just to check, is there more than one model for a battery for the macbook pro 13' retina late 2013-2014- early 2015 ?
@@alexiaperineau there's only one model
@@ItsBinhRepaired ok thanks a lot !
@@alexiaperineau no problem! Could be the battery wasn't made right or maybe he just didn't know how to install it properly.
where is a good place to get a good, durabe battery?
This one is good amzn.to/3jIMNdP
Which screw at 29th min?
What do you mean?
@@ItsBinhRepaired what’s the name of that particular screw as I have lost mine I need to replace that one
@@lukeufc1 I don't know sadly, but it's not necessary, so don't worry.
If anyone can tell me where to buy a battery it would be very helpful.
Apple told me to go to best buy, Best Buy had to ask me 4 times if I was calling about a PC or Mac. And refused to sell me parts as they would prefer to charge 50$ an hour in labour for someone to damage my shit.
So…battery anyone? Preferably that ships in 24 hours to Canada??
My unit is open and waiting.
Here you go amzn.to/48BaZXm hope they ship it to Canada.
Sorted out, turned out I needed a new charger anyway but I'm back up and running, your video was invaluable.@@ItsBinhRepaired
