@@ItsBinhRepaired My 15" macbook pro 2015 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz, 16GB of 1600MHz memory, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Pro Graphics, Two Thunderbolt 2 ports got kaput 3 weeks ago when it fell down on the hard floor. Since then the graphics are not working. I need to do data recovery as I dont have the data backed up. So applecare said that I need to get to its target recovery mode which I got it into once with command T on bootup. But since then I havent been able to get into the target recovery mode even with T on bootup.
So, is it possible to remove the SSD and put it in a working compatible laptop and recover the data ?
@divyabhatia9916 2015 has a removable SSD. You can put it in a usb adapter
@@ItsBinhRepaired Thanks so much for the response. I was wondering if I could do this with Mac. I had done this with lenovo windows device before but never done this with macbook pro ssd. What usb adapter do you recommend?

Thanks for this! I stupidly followed the iFixit instructions on a battery replacement which had one remove the speaker connectors unnecessarily. I ripped the right speaker connector off the board. Question. If I remove the circuit board, where on the underside is there an accessible trace for the right speaker. I can run a wire from that point back to the speaker cable on the other side of the board. Or live with one speaker🙃
You'd have to know how to work with pcbs. You'd have to solder. External speakers work well as well.
There's a trick to removing the speaker connectors safely. I think they don't explain it too well sadly.
I read reseating the SSD could help for missing SSD. Btw, do we need an anti static glove or anything?
Usually that won't fix it, but you can try. Just make sure you ground yourself.
Hello, i recently buy MBP 13 from 2015 without battery and SSD. I order power supply, but i cannot find consistent information, about will i be able to test this laptop when battery is missing and try to boot any OS (like ubuntu) from USB? i did some research and found two answer: no and yes, but with lower performence. So, where is the truth? I will order new one, but i want start laptop before spending 100$ on it.
It varies from model to model. Not exactly sure. I don't think you can run Ubuntu on it though.
I have a 2015 macbook pro 13" in good condition, the fan has no dust in it, the ports work fine, the motherboard and cpu never failed, but one of the speakers got damaged and the bottom feet stands were cut off so i prob have to buy a new pair and fix that issue myself
Speakers are super easy to replace on this model. Hope the repair goes well. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
@@ItsBinhRepaired I might buy extra bottom stands and put them on it and yeh great video btw
@@MemeMinionYT make sure to pop out the remaining plastic in the hole.
@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks for the advice
@@ItsBinhRepaired btw my 2015 mbp is also an a1502 just like yours
What is the ribbon part on the left of the trackpad flex? The one taken off at 9:20. Also, does it have any effect on the keyboard? Thank you!
That connects the wireless card, SD slot, etc. on that daughter board.

Appreciate the reply, thank you
No problem
Mac's motherboard burmt, is it worth to repair? A1502 model. How many days can I use after repairing the logic board?
Depends who fixes it. If I do it, it's $250 90 day warranty, should last several years, but no guarantee beyond 90 days.
i accidentally broke the tiny connector in the bottom that holds the other end of trackpad ribbon. Can you please advise how can i fix it?
Have to put it back the way it came out
Okay… so when you started saying “remove all the screws” is when I started looking for a different how-to video.
You should remove the screws in stages with the components you’re removing them with! Lay the parts out in an In-order fashion.
It makes it wayyyy easier for reassembly. Appreciate the help buuuut this could be very confusing for beginners!
Watch one of my newer videos. Lol

@@ItsBinhRepaired what brand?
I have a weird problem with my MacBook Pro early 2015 . The screen doesnt close completely and when I close it it pops out about 1,5 cm. Maybe its the hinges? I would appreciate the help thank you
Hmmm is it wobbly when you open and close it?
@@ItsBinhRepaired kinda and its stays open
Could possibly be the hinge mount screws came loose
@@ItsBinhRepaired thank you very much for your response I will check it
Might be the ones under the black plastic cover. You have to completely remove the screen and slide it, then pull it off. It's a pain.
Where is RAM located in this model of MacBook? As far as I understand it is soldered on the motherboard, but where? Under metal shielding?
Most likely
@@ItsBinhRepaired It’s interesting why they shielded RAM? Never seen someone do such a thing.
@@terrakottech417 a lot of models do that even with removable ram now.
@@ItsBinhRepaired Is it possible to replace (re-solder) faulty RAM chips in this model of MacBook?
@TerraKOT Tech anything is possible. Can I do it? No, not even gonna try.
Where did you get the lcd
Usually eBay China, but these are super expensive now. :(
Where is the PRAM battery on the 2015 13" MacBook Pro??
PRAM battery? Never heard of that.
@@ItsBinhRepaired Trying to get the attached monitor to be recognized by the MacBook Pro. External monitors work, and camera works. Have heard removing the PRAM battery and replacing it can help the machine recognize the screen but can't figure out where it actually is on the board.
Pram reset command option p r on boot
@@ItsBinhRepaired tried that and no dice as well as SMC
I'm confused. You said you're trying to attach monitors and the external monitors work? What are you trying to do? Sounds like it works. Are you trying to make it not work?
Does this support m.2 nvme SSD?
With an adapter, but it'll have sleep issues every now and then.
@@ItsBinhRepaired ah I see. Because I saw that the socket its pretty different compared to m.2 SATA or m.2 NVMe. Thanks for replying

Is there a problem with the battery of this MBP? Batteries on the left and right or trackpad seems like they are blown. I have the same model and my battery have a similar situation but I don't know if this is a problem. In this video: ruclips.net/video/8yhIj_28l34/видео.html , both the original and replacement batteries seems to be flat.
Yeah, that's bad, usually caused by keeping it at 100% charge. You want to try and keep the battery between 20 and 80%. The closer to 50% the better, but not really realistic.
You can't upgrade the RAM for the macbook A1502
correct
You can replace the logic board so technically yes
Hahaha true, but might as well sell and buy one already assembled.
@@ItsBinhRepaired i just bought a base model 2015 13 on offerup for 200 mint condition and swapped the logic board for 100 but i did the swap myself
@@MrTurkeybags nice!
this MBP is actually really not that hard to work on the only thing wrong with is generation in my opinion is the glued in battery
Try replacing just the keyboard lol
Ive pretty much repaired everything to the 2015 macbook except the battery. I kinda want to now just so i know how. Is it hard getting the glue off?
