Honestly, Deana, you make everything look like SO MUCH FUNNN!!!! Whatta great TOOL proddy is for those STAND-OUT embellishments... When you sliced up one of the longer proddy petals, I pictured doin' that in a portrait for an old man's EYEBROWS! HA! THANX SO MUCH, Deana, for yet another exciting bunny trail to explore! xxx
This is a really fabulous tutorial,. I see it as a daisy or some other equally stunning flower. Probably in conjuction with my other passion, ribbon embroidery with lots of French knots in the middle. I was wondering though could it be hooked as a rug? Like a rag rug. What backing would you suggest for it, if it was hooked for a rug. Thank you so much Stella 💓 P.S. please would you show us the finished product. Thanks
Stella you could definitely do a whole rug out of proddy....you could use the typical backings like linen or monk's cloth.... but you could also use a latch hook backing which is much stiffer with bigger holes and easier to pull the proddy through. I am guessing latch hook backing is much easier to get in the UK too so that could be a great thing to try.

No I do the proddy last. I leave a little space, do the proddy, and decide if I want to hook Amy more underneath the proddy to make it bounce out more.

You said something that inspired me. We have endless shapes to create and it’s not limited to a bow tie or a leaf.

Thank you! I've had this rooster kit that requires Proddy and now I feel a bit more confident 😀
Just lots and lots of great ideas thank you very much
Excellent tutorial!!!
Thank you for the demo, i’m thinking Holly and berries or poinsettias
I would love the girl kit. Will u be selling it? It looks amazing
You can fold the petal before pulling up. It pulls through easier. 👍🏼

Quick intro but do you do the proddy first and then hook around it? Would love an answer to this as I'm working on a beginner bumble bee project.
