I prefer Crash and Coco gameplay, however I really appreciate that the other playable characters are designed with platforming in mind. It’s not a completely different shift in genre. You still get core platforming gameplay which is all I wanted in this game.

In Kingdom Hearts 3 remind the Secret Boss has a low Chance of doing his ultimate attack as his first attack . And then he is for the rest of the fight in his Second phase

I really love this game! I personally like that we get a chance to play as new characters with different playstyles. The nice part about these alternate characters is that their missions are almost all optional, with the exception of one or two levels that help you get the feel for how they play, which are required to beat the game on a normal playthrough.
As for the success of Crash Bandicoot 4, I hope that Crash would be a very likely dlc fighter to become a new playable character for Smash from ActiVision
Another day, another world full of levels where I miss only one or two boxes... except for one where I get N.Sanely Perfect, bringing that total to 4/38. I also realized it had a bonus "no box" challenge, and that granted me the Blue Gem! Is it odd I find the Flashback Levels so much easier to 100% so far?
There's also a level called Booty Calls. It's that ballsy stuff from the 90s that nobody does anymore. It's also cuz most of the fanbase is 17+ at this point.

Explorable world in Crash? Try Crash Twinsanity on PS2. It is pretty good. You play as Crash, Cortex, Crash abusing Cortex and Nina, Cortex's daught...er, niece. The music is pretty good, and it is all acapella. There's a Spyro Cameo. Oh, and there are sections where you use Cortex as a snowboard!
Well if it's any consolation, watching you play this made me feel better about my gameplay... tbf I was trying to 100% the N. Sane Trilogy the week before this came out so I already had the type of gameplay fresh in my mind lol

The frogger game you're thinking of was on ps1 and was one of the best games ever Also finished the game recently only gripes, cortex shouldn't have Aku Aku, should of been like a bubble shield from CTR, I don't like how Aku Aku circles you it's more distracting than helpful I would prefer he just follow you like he used to, and as for the other characters I like that they are there and that they are optional, if you had to do then to continue the story I wouldn't be as welcoming to the idea, lastly better boss fights are required in the next game, idk how they can do it, but tiny, pinstripe, Komodo Bros, koala Kong, there were plenty of people we could of fought, I get that the levels are the real boss fights in crash, but having cortex last boss be the only challenging one is disappointing. Idk maybe add more phases kinda like Zelda, like instead of nbrio just turning into the flying monster, he grabs crash and their him into the sky and you have to use the akanu mask in the fight to slowly descend from the throw down while fighting him in the sky, I can probably come up with a bunch but the idea of having phases like the ngin fight in warped would be fun for all the bosses
No way! Cortex strikes back is my favourite game in the series! Warped is still great though! But it’s about time is definitely my third favourite. A tie between 4 and the original first game. Lol
Crash 2 is the best in the series(other than this game) no lie my favorite one especially the N-sane trilogy version because if you fall you FALL like a 200 pound boulder making the platforming difficult while changing up the difficulty from time to time without too many frustrating parts.
Id love to see you handle the final level before the final boss, cortexs castle. One playthrough for me had 156 deaths lol and 89 of them was on the very last section before the end of the level
I play the modern mode, because it lets me really experiment with the game without having to worry about starting the whole level over every 5 or so tries.
Well it's more just "Get all the boxes AND beat the level without dying." as a throwback to Crash 1, where you had to do that on certain levels to get coloured gems. In Crash 4, all of the gems minus the hidden one just passively fall into place for that requirement, as well.

getting all the boxes in crash is really hard, but then you add ice based missions and it turns to cruel and unusual punishment.
Crash Twinsanity was like mario odyssey, it's a bit buggy but beside that is actually fun
