That last section of the Crate Escape absolutely DESTROYED me. It took me over 100 tries to finally get it right.
i already died like 30 times at cortex’s part and i got up to 120 deaths with crash’s part

I feel your pain, it’s enjoyable to watch someone else suffer but when I played I got so frustrated I thought I was gonna have a brain aneurysm.
It’s so great watching these videos knowing that other people have felt this pain LOL. This game is insane
The fact one of the trophies require allplatinum time trial relics is so stupid like even getting gold for sum people is really hard

Some of the levels are ridiculous. The ones towards the end are insanely long and punish you for even the smallest mistake. Passing them without dying is a monumental task, let alone completing them quickly. Rush Hour's platinum relic is nearly FOUR MINUTES and has a brutal ending section, which should give you an idea how bad they can be.
The Crate Escape is also one of the worst offenders. It's not so much a long level, but the end segment requires you to play as Crash after minutes of precise platforming with Cortex, jumping across floating platforms and moving differently to how the game has played for the first 90%. It's ruthless.
@@Gigaflare8822 the nsane relics weren't too bad an I honestly didn't have too much of a problem with the last section of levels ...don't get me wrong at first it seemed impossible 🤣 but I just practice each section and die on purpose until I master each part an then play through the level....I reckon crash landed was one of the worst for me ...I hated that level ...an its soo long aswell .
But yeah I got all the nsane relics in the end just cause I wanted to ...the time trials can fuck off ...its not for me.
And yeah the bit at the end of crate escape is a bitch but again I just kept dying on purpose until I mastered it an then played back and hold your nerve 🤣

I gave up trying to 100% it. It's not a bad game, but it is very flawed. One thing I loved about the first 3 games was each level could be completed in about 5 minutes. Now it seems like I'm playing for 30 minutes and it's not enjoyable. When I finish a level I don't feel any enjoyment, it's more a case of "thank fuck that's over". Can't see me replaying it after, finishing it just seems like a chore

Crash bash is easily the best crash game ever I don’t care what anybody says, they need to remake it
Every.single.time i tried to give this game a chance, it ended with me giving up on it. I wanted to finish it because the graphics are amazing and it's a crash game! And I wanted a new one after finishing 'n'sane trilogy. But it was always so frustrating and not rewarding at all.
There are hard games like, bloodborne for example, where even though it's pretty hard I ended up with a good experience, and that's why I loved it and even got the platinum.
But crash 4 doesn't bring me that feeling of a good experience, it just makes me feel stressed and angry. Sometimes I just went through a level like 'whatever, I just wanna finish that'. And that's when I realized that even though it's a beaultiful game to look at, it's not a good game to play, so I don't feel like it's worth my time.

I couldn't get that far myself, some of the bonus levels were harder than the actual levels themselves. It wasn't until a few levels after I defeated N. Tropy, that I decided to call it quits. Those bonus levels had me rage over and over and over after every death. I rage quit so hard, that a controller was broken, there was a hole in the wall, and my wife ended up worrying for my safety, that it brought her to tears. My gamer rage scared the living shit out of her. I decided to look up a playthrough on RUclips, saw how difficult Cortex Castle was and decided... Fuck that, ain't worth any more of my time. So I ejected it from my PS4, put it back in its case and took it back to GameStop and got store credit. I'll stick to the trilogy, thanks.

I just platinumed the game after 230 hours. It’s hard to put into words how difficult it was. The hardest platinum I have by far.

I can't even go through the levels, getting all all the boxes is completely unachievable. Crash Bandicoot 4 is just too difficult. It should be easier and available to more people, like the older games were. This is just too much - not fun.

Yep you game over'ed for the first time in the exact same point in the game I did, from 80 lives to 0, that last section feels tricky until you see the last level.

It took me over a 150... The only stage that rivals it is the mask gauntlet in the final stage, that took me 130 or so lives.

Even on modern it’s still frustrating.
I play Crash games because I like hunting for all the gems and relics. Eventhough this game is absurdly hard at times I don't mind it really, with enough perseverance you will prevail. What I absolutely HATE with a passion is the hidden off screen boxes that are near impossible to find without having to constantly look up a guide. Say you do clear a hard as nails level finally without dying and smashing every crate you see, you have to do the whole thing again because you missed a box or two that was hidden in such a bullshit place. That isn't fun or fair and I don't want to be wasting time scrolling through some ad filled guide on my phone while playing every level.
If crash gets into smash i want dingodile to be the secound charecter from the crash series to join smash.

That last stage was the one that killed me and my motivation to get all boxes

How did it go?
Any crate destroyed by an enemy is counted. that also mean the T.Rex and that huge truck thing in the other level. so you don't have to worry about most of the crates. although I think there are some that are high above in alcoves that you can only reach by using the ramps, so those are the only one to really worry about missing.
also that last level in the video jumping as those platforms are coming quickly towards you had me raging until I realized that they are all spaced in a certain way that you can get Crash to just jump forward at the same length. the more you do that the faster you get to the end of the level. it took me a long time until I realized i just had to time the jumps just right at the correct length and I managed to get by. I still haven't beaten the final boss because I decided to go back to the start to get all the gems. so far I'm in the level of No Dillo Dallying. I'm having a ton of trouble getting the crates on the final stretch there where you have to go down the river on the jet ski.
"Hold down" and turbo on the jetski parts. Then you have more than enough time to hit them all
Like I know the Devs really liked Cold Hard Crash (the stage) but everything past the halfway point is just levels made like that. Long stretches without checkpoints. Difficult platforming. And the gems are a nightmare.
The last castle is not fun, it's just torture

I platinum this game in 180 hours, never played a Crash game before, very painful for sure but not impossible, u need patience and a lot of practice and a bit of luck hence the 180 hours lol. Currently doing SMB Banana Mania, almost done and putting 160 hours so far. Not sure which one is harder but both are painful platinums.
I really love the crash landed level in crash 4 I love how more expansive it is to the polar riding levels from crash 2 and that you can actually go higher up in the level
This is the most disappointing games I've ever played. It's just so punishing to the point of feeling like the developers were flipping your off through the screen.
Honestly didn't find Crash 4 as obscenely hard as some people did. Then again, I grew up with tricky platformers.

Lol the level that ended up makin' ya game over was my favourite stage in the entire game; I think it only took me like 4 or 5 attempts, semi-difficult but the last levels a little bit later are even more difficult. I just freaking loved the platforming in the sky, I thought it was cool af XD

Last night... while I was in the CORTEX CASTLE... last stage... like 20seconds away from finishing line..I quit the game ...uninstalled it and deleted my save file...just didn't felt like I wanted to see an ending... keep in mind ive played and ended CUPHEAD..so I know that I don't rage quit... its just that sometimes the developers make the game so twistingly difficult.. that it takes away from the charm... I didn't really felt like I wanted to waste another hour trying hundred times more..so yeah. I don't really care.
Cortex Castle isn't that hard actually, it is just tricky to adjust to instant mask swapping. The big mask gauntlet is also pretty short too.
