My 14 Pro Max is at 92 percent but, oddly, my Watch Ultra is still at 100 percent. Both have been used exclusively on beta builds except when a final release comes out and before the next beta is released.
Hi Aaron, i have an iphone 14 pro max, my battery life is at 96%, only charge it at night at sleep, don’t have always on display cause it uses too much battery, i don’t use beta updates, location services are set only while using for some apps the rest are off, tracking apps off, i have reduce motion on because it makes battery last longer, those are my settings
I have an iphone 11 pro from 2019, the battery dropped to 93% after some time. 2 years later i checked again and it was 100%? Battery lasts for a full day till late night. I charge over night and use it every day. Still going strong saying the battery health is still 100% even now!
Yeah the don't let it drain to 20% or charge over 80% lol. That's why I buy phones with 4500- 5000mah, a lot of headroom, so in 2 years it will still be decent
There are many, many factors that affect battery health that it's not worth babying it. Even the battery health meter is just an estimate. Just use the phone sensibly - don't let the battery health inconvenience your life.

@@zollotechI understand the point of the video, but not every iPhone user is the same too. One important factor that must be noted is that the mAh listed on iPhone batteries is the minimum size of the battery, not the actual battery size. Looking at the battery stats in the analytics, you can see what the maximum capacity was when new. My 14 PM has a maximum capacity of 4559 mAh even though the battery says the minimum capacity is 4323 mAh. I purchased mine on launch day, it’s been charged 134 cycles and has a current capacity of 4439 mAh. On the battery health screen, it still shows 100%. Until my actual capacity falls below 4323, it will show 100%. Chances are, your 14PM had a startling capacity at or very close to the minimum rating of 4323. Basically, on top of everything that was said, the ‘all batteries are not equal even in the same device model’ point is very important.
Thank you very much for your comment. I had no idea why my iPhone 13 Pro was still displaying 100% battery life after almost 2 years, now there's a plausible explanation for it.
I used to be really paranoid about the battery health on my watch and phone, but to be honest, especially with my series 6 watch, as long as it gets me through the day I'll keep it. Same with my iPhone 14
My iPhone XS is 78% and It lives on the charger lol. I always say I’ll upgrade when the software is not supported. I thought it would be this year, but looks like I’ll have to survive another year. I have the money for a phone I just like to feel like a rebel. Or like Steve jobs would say “Stay foolish” 🤷🏼♂️
Being on wifi helps your battery alot. My wife’s iphone 13 battery health is at 95%, she’s had it since it came out. She watches alot of videos, she’s a heavy user. My iphone 14 pro max is at 90%, got it last october. Difference is I’m a truck driver, rarely do I use wifi. Most of my friends have the same battery health %. I charge my iphone to 100% and it lasts me all day. Dark mode and don’t over heat it. Just enjoy your iphone
Wi-Fi doesn’t affect it. Actually it’s the opposite, cellular is much more taxing than Wi-Fi and burns more battery. Usage and battery usage does, because if you burn more battery, the more you charge it, the shorter it lasts. It’s heat and cycles that affect it mainly.
I was skeptical of the MagSafe charger just because I thought plugging it in would be safer, but I saw a previous video of yours where you mentioned using it and went out and got one. I stick it on every night and let the software do its thing and so far, I'm still at 100% battery health and it hasn't let me down.
1. Use a 5W wired or quality wireless charger overnight. 2. Make at least some effort to keep your phone higher than 30% throughout the day. This gives you headroom for emergencies and such anyway. There are two main ways that are easy and simple. A. Charge up with a fast wired charger during the day if needed or when it’s convenient. Even 15-30 should be plenty for most people in most cases. B. Set your phone on a quality 5W wireless charger throughout the day when it’s convenient and sensible to do so, like at a desk. 3. Be at least somewhat mindful about the heat you impose on your phone, particularly when it’s unnecessary or avoidable. Playing CoD with the phone on the dash while connected to a wireless charger in 35°C weather is probably something worth avoiding. 4. Don’t worry about battery health all day. Seriously. A little effort goes a long way, but letting it consume your life ain’t the way. Some very smart people put a lot of work into making a phone that can do this stuff for you. 5. Just replace the damn battery if you really need to. Apple will replace the battery for $69-99, and third parties charge even less. Plus you can do it yourself for significantly less. It’s not that hard. And don’t you dare tell me that’s bad value. Modern phones aren’t worthless three years in when the battery loses 20% capacity, lol. Also, replacing the battery will increase both the resale value and your ability to sell it.use the phone 2-4 years, replace the battery, then repeat and/or sell. Easy.
My iPhone 14 pro max dropped to 99% battery health just two months ago and I’m now down to 97% in all honesty that’s not bad considering my charging behaviours and I’ve done 210 cycles but for you that’s pretty bad but I agree with everyone else just use the phone And enjoy it as I’ve almost had my 14 pro max for almost a year now it doesn’t really bother me and I’m not upgrading any time soon
All I do is keeping my charging level between 30% and 80%, using the 5 Watt charger on my iPhone13 Pro Max. Almost 2 years old still 100% battery health. Since the battery lasts an entire work day it doesn’t need to be charged beyond 80% for me. My routine is to charge it about 1-2 hours in the evening when I come home from work and another 1-2 hours before leaving in the morning. That’s my habit.
iPhone 12 Pro since dec 2020 still iOS 14.8 almost always charged from 30/40% to 85/95% with a 7w wire charger. I used it 6h/day always with a case and sometimes small gaming session. I disabled automatic updates both for iOS and apps so that it doesn’t keep running for stuff that I don’t need and eventually update the apps that i need. My battery health is at 91% after 969 days of usage and 629 cycles
i ve been using my 14 pro since day 1 and still at 100% battery health. i always charge every 3 to 4 days with a total of 5 to 7 hrs sot. i either use lte or wifi connection, also turned off background app refresh, tracking and aod. i use dark mode and never go over 40 % brightness. charging between 20 and 90 %
Hi Aaron, excellent and very helpful video as always! I've followed your advice on maintaining battery health ever since I got my first iPhone (my iPhone XR) and your advice has paid off very nicely. As of this morning, I still have 92% battery health after 439 cycles over the course of 29 months of daily use. I recently upgraded to the iPhone 13, and will continue charging as you recommend. Thanks for all your great videos!
This year is different for me definitely. I switched off the always on display for the initial few months. When they allowed to disable wallpaper I enabled it again. The main thing that has helped me maintain 100% battery health since last year is the use of magsafe charging manufactured by Belkin. Also I have now started to not charge the phone daily at night and to full 100% every time. This has helped immensely
Thank you sooo much Aaron for your valuable hints! I charge both my phones(se2 and 13) overnight and use the se2 about 3 hours per day and the 13 about 5 hours average every day and enjoy both phones without worrying worrying about batteries percentage keeping them fully charged when not using the phones!
Don't forget that the actual capacity of the batteries is usually higher than what's advertised and vary from one to another. This is why the battery health stays at 100% for a long duration of time - the 100% is set to the advertised capacity not the actual one the given battery have and will stay at 100% till the battery capacity drops below it. Saying that, it's actually good guess some are making that the battery quality is lower this year or alternatively the actual capacity is quite close to the advertised one.
Thanks a lot for another informative video. Except while travelling, I always charge my 13 Pro with a 5W charger. Phone is 9 months old and the battery health now is at 98%.
20W charger, iPhone 13 Pro, used since launch, still 100%. I found out today in here that apparently the 100% statistic is for the minimum stated capacity of the battery by Apple, and only changes as soon as the battery max capacity drops below it, meaning that the battery in my iPhone is still likely larger than that minimum.
😂 I found it pointless using the crappy 5w if you are paying $1000 just to end up waiting 3hrs to charge F that I need max charging this It’s like buying a sports car just to drive 10mph With apple care & battery replacement etc you good no worries
Regarding my immaculate deep purple iPhone 14 Pro Max. I got it not long after release last year in 2022. Still 100% battery health and I am a heavy user. No idea why people are complaining about shorter battery health intervals. We’ve had a mild summer here in beautiful Northern Illinois. I never use wireless charging.
My iPhone 13 mini had 100% battery life until the end of June where it dropped to 99% Then suddenly it went to 96% in a span of three weeks. No change win my usage so the 3% drop was highly unusual.
Same here. I had 100% before the update to iOS17. After the update it went down to 97% that’s highly unusual. Very odd. I feel like does that on purpose. 😔☹️😟🥺
My 14 Pro Max is at 92% after 266 cycles. I don’t worry about it but it is a bummer that with about the same usage this model’s battery capacity degrades so much. I actually have been noticing the reduced battery life as I’ve frequently had to charge it earlier. Hope the 15 series improve on this aspect!
I upgrade every year and I’m at 90% right now and that has never happened. I’m not doing anything different either. I think it’s the battery they used this time but who knows. I don’t worry about it but still hope they change back to a better quality battery.
I think they should just get rid of the percentage and have a rating like Healthy from like 85-100%, Replace from 80-85% and anything below that it triggers the performance throttling (that you can turn off but it notifies you that it will impact your battery life until you replace your battery).
I have 10 month old IPhone 14 Pro Max. Battery health still 100%. Charging only with slow original Apple 5W charger from 20% to 80%. No wireless or power bank and car charges.
The battery health on my 13PM just dropped to 99% this past week after 9 months of usage. Not a super heavy user usually charging maybe every 1.5 days just using a slow charging cable and only sometimes fast charge if I need to
I try not to charge above 85%. I have a Shortcut set up to notify when the battery hits 86%, and usually only charge either while I'm driving (usually never long enough to add more than 10-15%) or while I'm at my desk at home working, so I see the notification. Then I just unplug the wireless charging stand that it sits on.
I have the iPhone 14 Plus got it on release weekend back in October my battery 🔋 health is still at 100% so far almost 10 months. I’m very impressed over the fact that this is the first iPhone that I have had that’s still had its battery 🔋 health this long it’s a great phone.
Tips For Gamers, Charge your iPhone to 100 Percent then Play Games like PUBG , G.Impact etc.. while charger plugged in, by doing this your game will directly run through the power coming directly from the Power Outlet not from the Battery hence reducing the load on battery and cycle count also. I am doing this only from past 1 year and my iPhone 13 Pro battery health is 96 percent even with one year of heavy gaming. REMOVE CASE ALSO FOR Heat Dissipation Further you want to reduce the heat then Turn on the Airplane mode and then Play games with WiFi this will significantly low the tempratures and increase the performance
I'm using battery saving mode since it doesn't have a big impact on processing power but it does prolong battery life by a lot. I'm using an iPhone XR, it's nearly 5 years old now and it has 88% battery health. I always have it in a case, and I use a 15 watt charger in order to charge it. I live in Athens, Greece and typically we have a warm weather. Cheers!
My iPhone 12 Pro was 83% after two years and ten months of use. I took it to the Apple Store last week and replaced the battery for $89. I plan to keep this thing for at least three or four more years.
FYI I followed this guy's advice when I bought my iPhone 14 Pro 8 months ago by watching another video he uploaded on this topic then. I'm already down to 90% battery health in only 8 months so take his advice with a grain of salt.
Great information as always. Thanks! I’ll just share some thoughts. As someone who works for an AASP and has this type of conversation every day, don’t watch your battery health. Only check on it if you seee issues with staying on or system performance. There are two thing to note. First, every time you use and charge your iPhone, the battery will degrade, everytime. The second is that Apple rates the percentage based against what they advertise is the phone’s maximum and they often place higer then avertived batteries in the various iPhone modles. That means that when it was showing 100% it could have been 110% or higher of the advertised capacity and took much longer to drop below 100%. For the iPhone 14 they are actually advertizing a higher total capacity, so it would not surprise us if the batteries had a simular total volume as befor so we see the percentgae drop from 100% sooner. One last point, over the years we have seen most iPhones can drop down to 85%-90% then stablaize for a long time, years in most cases. So again, don’t watch your battery life. If you are concerned, call Apple and they can test it remotely and advise you further or drop in to an AASP/Apple Store.
I’m on 89% since months on my 13 Pro Max that I bought in October 2021 even though I followed all of your tips. Just shows that you pretty much can’t control it
The battery health might just be an issue with the 14 Pros. My regular 14 is still at 100% Battery health and I've also been running betas on it. But I do only charge my phone to 80% each night and then leave it on battery throughout the night, so that might be another reason. I'm probably keeping my phone for a couple of years so I am going to keep preserving battery health. And while the phone does get somewhat hot (especially when using Carplay), it hasn't really effected battery performance. That said, if you know you're going to upgrade soon, don't let battery health affect you.
The one thing I understand that is happening with the new iPhones is that when you charge them either with a magsafe wireless or either with a fast charger it will probably heat the battery compartments & possibly reduce the health of the battery…
My 14 pro max at 98% and I got mine on release day. I try to keep it charged between 20 - 80% where possible and only max it to 100% when I need to. I also use dark mode 24/7. Also never use MagSafe I use anker charger and wire the 30 watt one.
ESR has a 2-in-1/3-in-1Halolock (MagSafe) charger with Cryoboost. Basically, it's a little fan that turns on when the phone is charging. This is the first full year I've used it, and this is the first year, given all the answers you gave, that my battery health is actually really good. I've used this charger with a case basically every night, and things seem to be going well with the battery. Side note: I think iOS is a sneaky reason why battery health is rough for some, and I wouldn't doubt if these batteries were a bad batch that was put into the phone (and yes, it's a big batch).
I can back this up!! Bought one myself 2 weeks ago and so far it’s been amazing. I’ve actually notice that charging it slower with this wireless charger makes my phone last longer than if it were charged with a 30w wired charger. Don’t know why but it’s definitely noticeable
I replaced the battery of my iPhone X in Feb. It was at 76% after 1321 cycles according to the apple tech, makes sense to me as it had 5 years. I have it now at 95% after 193 cycles (seen in coconut). I have never left plugged all night an iPhone since the iPhone 5, I know that it takes just over 3h to reach 100% and then leave it 10-20mins more, I establish the wifi plug with te time and leave it charging. I always use a 5W charger. Good to know that newer iPhones have better batteries.
Watching this from my iPhone 11 with 78% battery health (1024 charge cycle) Sunwoda battery manf. I got this phone 3yrs ago 2020, been using uGreen 18W charging since then with no issues at all. I used to charge once a day before, now I charge 2 to 3 times a day.
What most people don’t know is some iPhones actually come with well over 100% battery health but the built in battery health won’t tell u that hence why it seems to stay on 100% for a long time then starts dropping faster and faster
Hey Aaron amazing video as always. Such great useful content 👍 So my iPhone is gladly still on 100% battery health… I avoid using wireless chargers for my reasons that it may be causing excessive heat on longer charging times. I prefer to using Apple Original or Anker/Belkin MFI certified charging cables only which makes a huge difference in speed of charging on the quality of charging. Secondly I keep my battery between 30-80% only with wired charging. I’ve setup a shortcut for music to play to remind me to stop charging at 80%. In less than a year it must’ve charged to 💯maybe 3-5 times. Thanks for all the info 😊
After 10 months i still preserve 100% just charging whenever i want, not even check the battery percentage..but never ever my phone dropped lower than 20% on battery..
Hi Aaron 😊 My 14 Pro is still 100% after 3 months old, I don't use any battery saving and I'm a topper upper daily, like now at 2:56pm from 9am my battery is still 87%, I'll top up twice probably before I turn it off at 11pm. My 13 Pro Max was still on 95% after 12 months. ❤xx
@@d3nnycadroThat’s because your battery had a higher actual capacity. The software will read 100% even while your battery is losing capacity, simply because it hasn’t reached the threshold of 100%. For example, let’s say the battery actually has 3200mah, and the software sees 3000mah as 100%. That percentage isn’t going to change until your battery loses 200mah in capacity
@zollotech - I have had my iPhone 14 Pro Max w/1GB since mid-November of last year. I charge my phone overnight via a fast connection charging cable. Some days, I can use my phone a lot some days. Also, I have the Always On setting to ON. My battery health is already down to 90%. I want to thank you for some of tips you shared, which may slow down my battery’s degradation. My previous iPhone XS Max had a battery health of 82% after four years! The only differences between my usage is the the Always On display and, the faster charging. Also, I am on iOS 16.6 and have never used any iOS betas. I will definitely change my charging habits, based on this video. Thank you, Aaron!
My wife and I both have a iPhone 14 Max. We both still have 100%. capacities. We received our phones on release day. Never used the wireless charging on both phone due to heat. I try to stop charging my phone by 80%, but my wife always goes to 100% charge. Both phones are in cases.
Indeed, for those who live in the United States, it makes sense to change the battery, here in Brazil Apple is charging R$ 699 to exchange for a new battery... (this amount is equivalent to half of a minimum wage) it is an exaggeratedly high amount
I have a 14 pro since the release of 16.3 my battery health has dropped. My is 8 months old now the current battery health is 90%. The cycle times of the batteries is questionable. Do to use but I don’t use my phone that much and heat is not a issue. This battery chemistry is not has good as previous battery.
I Slow Charge my iPhone 14 Pro when it gets below 40% ish & try to stop charging at 80% when at home. when I travel I pay less attention to the 20/80 tule. 11 months of use my Battery Health is still at 100%
Been having the 12 pro for over 2 years now and I’m at 91% battery health. All I do is try my best to keep it out from heat (haven’t been charging in my car). Always have it above 40% and that’s about it. It’s gonna degrade no matter what. So do whatever you want to do. If you can afford a $1000 phone a $60 battery replacement after 2 years shouldn’t be a big deal imo. Just use the phone how you want and need.
I have 94% on my 13PM. There are things I have turned off in setting that help. I will not be going to the 15 series when it comes out. I use Anker chargers and Magsafe wireless at night.
from my experience on iPhone XS: using streaming apps, instagram app, bad signal, and heat can eat up battery life; I'm using an iPhone 14 pro with 98% without those mentioned factors and I noticed my usage improved battery life.
I’ve been using my iPhone 11 almost for three years, charging it every day, and it still showing battery health 99% on original battery. And I am sure that my battery is worse than 99% since it used to last 2 days, now one.
I use an apple 12w charger wired and since I have a 13pro max I can give myself the luxury of not charging it to 100% unless I need it, the 12w brick is fast and never heats up the phone, never use cheap gas station wires. I do this since I like to resell my phone and having good battery health is the thing used phone buyers always ask.
Yeah I noticed that the 14 PM has gotten way hotter than any of my previous phones. Had issues watching twitch with PiP. Phone got super hot and lost like 1% battery per 5 seconds. So heat is probably a big factor in my phone losing battery health faster than previous generations.
I have an iPhone 12 pro max since it got released, and it's on 92% battery health. All I did is get a smart plug and set it to permanently stop charging at 80%.
I charge mine throughout the day. I feel strange when the battery goes below 90%. Always try to keep it around 98%. I usually leave lower battery mode on and every now and then switch to normal battery mode. My battery health is 93% and I got iPhone 12 promax
Hi Aaron, my iPhone 14 Pro has overheating issues, scrolling stutter in apps like Twitter and Spotify, and it has touch lag in some games like Hit the Island. Also, the daily battery life isn’t great and the camera has sometimes over processing and sometimes lag in-app. The Apple Store Employee said nothing is wrong besides maybe software issues, but the updates didn’t fix those problems (since I my first version that I used of iOS 16.3 until now in iOS 16.6). Also I have my previous iPhone 11. I debate if I should: 1. trade it in to the 15 Pro (since I prefer the Regular Pro size over the Pro Max and the it will have bigger and better battery life from the rumors. 2. Trade in my older regular iPhone 11 to a brand new regular iPhone 13. 3. Buy a refurbished or a brand new open box or renewed iPhone 13 Pro from either eBay or third party retailers. Which option should I choose? Thanks.
I have an Iphone 13 from when they came out. Battery 96% 20W 12W 5W Apple chargers used. I only charge it when it goes down nearby 20% . No regular charge over the night.
I just checked my health. Since I purchased or ordered the iPhone 14 pro 256 gig Back in sept 9 2022. My battery health says 99. I think it just went down the other day. I’m not charging it till at night. I’m getting a good day of charge. From the time I take it off magsafe at around 9 am-10 pm it stays anywhere from 55%~ 35% before I go to bed. I charge via magsafe. So I’m happy at my battery health for now. I’ve had it just around a yr. My 14 pro replaced my 7 And I replace my iPhones around the 5 yr mark.
Even at 87% battery health, my 12 Pro gets horrible battery life. I shut down all the location-based system services, 5G, and some other stuff as per the recommendations of the guys on the Payette Forward channel, and am going to manually, manage the battery charging optimization, like I have to do on my Apple Watch.
My wife, who got her phone a few days before mine arrived has 100% battery health on her 14 Pro Max, where my 14 Pro Max has 96% battery health. I’ve done nothing different this year, from my 13 Pro Max.
I have iPhone 14 pro from November and I charge it from 20 - 86% only on 3 occasions I had it charge to 💯 and now I am at 98 battery health… regular user no games just socials and yt
Been using my iPhone 13 since October 2021, I run it on average about 8-9 hours a day, I have run iOS 16 Betas and am currently running iOS 17 Public Betas and I am currently at 91 Percent Battery Health (the best I have ever had)
Hi Aaron I also at this point stopped worrying about the battery health and continuing to enjoy my 13 Pro. I charge it every night on the MagSafe charger and get between 20-30% battery left each day. Thank you for the tips on how to preserve the battery health.
How is your battery health and do pay attention to it? Thanks for watching, it is always appreciated.
My Apple Watch Ultra is still at 100% currently. I try not to go below 50% charge on either device.
I have an iphone 11 pro from 2019, the battery dropped to 93% after some time. 2 years later i checked again and it was 100%? Battery lasts for a full day till late night. I charge over night and use it every day. Still going strong saying the battery health is still 100% even now!
Yes absolutely and for phone great . Thanks again for awesome work ✌️
Guys stop caring about battery health and just enjoy your phone

One important factor that must be noted is that the mAh listed on iPhone batteries is the minimum size of the battery, not the actual battery size. Looking at the battery stats in the analytics, you can see what the maximum capacity was when new. My 14 PM has a maximum capacity of 4559 mAh even though the battery says the minimum capacity is 4323 mAh. I purchased mine on launch day, it’s been charged 134 cycles and has a current capacity of 4439 mAh. On the battery health screen, it still shows 100%. Thank you very much for your comment. I had no idea why my iPhone 13 Pro was still displaying 100% battery life after almost 2 years, now there's a plausible explanation for it.
Spot explanation and I had the same with my iPhone 11 pro max. My 13Pro came with poor battery capacity and after 13 months usage it's at 92%
I used to be really paranoid about the battery health on my watch and phone, but to be honest, especially with my series 6 watch, as long as it gets me through the day I'll keep it. Same with my iPhone 14
having to constantly charge my watch (series 5) is the only thing that blows me.
My 14 Pro is already at 87% health, at this point I’m just going to continue using it as I have been and then get a battery replacement once I hit 79%

Mine is at 96% I will also change the battery when needed
My iPhone XS is 78% and It lives on the charger lol. I always say I’ll upgrade when the software is not supported. I thought it would be this year, but looks like I’ll have to survive another year. I have the money for a phone I just like to feel like a rebel.
Or like Steve jobs would say “Stay foolish” 🤷🏼♂️
@@Theoriginal1981 hows your battery percentage? are you planning on going for the 16?
Yep. Apple has sensors in it for heat and to make sure it is always within a safe range.
Why bother with MagSafe? It’s slow, not efficient, cable is short, more bulky to travel with than a cable? Cheers!
@@adalbert93_75 because a lot of people prefer it if you don’t don’t use it, don’t worry about what other people do
My 14 pro max is still 100% after 2 months
I have 108 cycle and 98%
I agree mate!
My iPhone 14 Pro Max is at 96% after almost 1 year of use.
93% after after almost a year
All I do is keeping my charging level between 30% and 80%, using the 5 Watt charger on my iPhone13 Pro Max.
Just have fun with your phone. Dont worry. Replace the battery if necessary.
The resolution and quality on the pro models are so crisp and nice looking.
5W charger for the win. Never use MagSafe or wireless charging
Lucky you I have it for 10 months and literally at 90% which isn’t good
20W charger, iPhone 13 Pro, used since launch, still 100%. I found out today in here that apparently the 100% statistic is for the minimum stated capacity of the battery by Apple, and only changes as soon as the battery max capacity drops below it, meaning that the battery in my iPhone is still likely larger than that minimum.
😂 I found it pointless using the crappy 5w if you are paying $1000 just to end up waiting 3hrs to charge
F that I need max charging this
It’s like buying a sports car just to drive 10mph
With apple care & battery replacement etc you good no worries
@@bigmaxcc what’s it matter if when I charge my phone is when I’m sleeping lol
Regarding my immaculate deep purple iPhone 14 Pro Max. I got it not long after release last year in 2022. Still 100% battery health and I am a heavy user. No idea why people are complaining about shorter battery health intervals. We’ve had a mild summer here in beautiful Northern Illinois. I never use wireless charging.
My iPhone 13 mini had 100% battery life until the end of June where it dropped to 99% Then suddenly it went to 96% in a span of three weeks. No change win my usage so the 3% drop was highly unusual.
it was not.
Me too! My 14 pro is at 93% and I've had it since November (typically I'm only at 98%) so Im a little bummed that this happened so quickly
How do I check the cycles?
@@josephpatti4575 I used Coconut Batteries on my Mac

For someone who keeps their phone for a few years, this is very helpful!
The iPhone needs better vapor chamber on their phones.
REMOVE CASE ALSO FOR Heat Dissipation
Further you want to reduce the heat then Turn on the Airplane mode and then Play games with WiFi this will significantly low the tempratures and increase the performance
I stopped caring personally.

Yeah me too
I'm glad you did a video on battery health. This is much needed
Cheers!
You use a 15w charger and after 4 years your XR has 88% battery health, that is impressive.
@@AlexanderLindo 8 months later is down to 80%. 5,5+ years of usage though 😅
My 14 PM is at 97% but my Apple Watch Ultra is at 100%. No worries though! Just enjoy your tech like Aaron says.
@@davidjacobs6244 i was referring to the speed with magsafe…but the way i wrote it was “atouched” to heat…sorry
My 14 pro max at 98% and I got mine on release day. I try to keep it charged between 20 - 80% where possible and only max it to 100% when I need to. I also use dark mode 24/7. Also never use MagSafe I use anker charger and wire the 30 watt one.
I’ve been quite pleased with my battery 🔋 health right now im at 98% battery health im im happy can’t complain
iPhone 14 Pro Max user here since December. Still at 100% battery health 8 months in.
Hi Aaron. I’ve commented before I’ve been using my iPhone 14 Pro Max since it was released last year and I’m still 100%.
I got the 14 pro max at launch and I am now at 88% battery health. I don’t go below 20% before charging.
Still 100% on iphone 14 pro max since september last year.
Do you use fast charging?
14 pro max ive got it 7 months still 100% with safe chargings
Hi. Same here, 14 Pro. Purchased in early January to August 100%, now at 96%.
Such great useful content 👍
So my iPhone is gladly still on 100% battery health… I avoid using wireless chargers for my reasons that it may be causing excessive heat on longer charging times.
I literally do this exact thing and still have 100% on a 13 pro max
I only used wireless charging and stayed on 100% but after the iOS 17 update it went straight down to 97% 😫😩😔
I think use the phone as you need, when you the battery life really causes your inconviences then just replace the battery.
After 10 months i still preserve 100% just charging whenever i want, not even check the battery percentage..but never ever my phone dropped lower than 20% on battery..
you’re not alone. i’m at 89% and likely to drop to 88% any day now. i think it went down two points in a week.
Hi Aaron 😊
My 14 Pro is still 100% after 3 months old, I don't use any battery saving and I'm a topper upper daily, like now at 2:56pm from 9am my battery is still 87%, I'll top up twice probably before I turn it off at 11pm.

Less than a year 10 months to be precise. i am 89 percent on 14 pro unbelievable
from my experience on iPhone XS: using streaming apps, instagram app, bad signal, and heat can eat up battery life; I'm using an iPhone 14 pro with 98% without those mentioned factors and I noticed my usage improved battery life.
Good info. I learned to charge between 20 and 80 to keep the battery intact from other videos but you broke it down to the reasons why. Thanks.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max just dropped to 99% last month, been using it since November 2022.

I’m trying to keep the battery percentage between 20% and 85%. Some tech bloggers say that this range will decrease battery degradation
The question is how 92% of iPhone 13PM compares to 97% 14PM because I have seen 80% on iPhone 13PM performed better than 100% on iPhone 14PM
13 pro is the best in battery life.. I think it is hardware affected as BMS chip is more accurate and precise

I debate if I should:
1. trade it in to the 15 Pro (since I prefer the Regular Pro size over the Pro Max and the it will have bigger and better battery life from the rumors.
2. Trade in my older regular iPhone 11 to a brand new regular iPhone 13.
3. Buy a refurbished or a brand new open box or renewed iPhone 13 Pro from either eBay or third party retailers.
Which option should I choose? Thanks.

It happened to me, 91% 14 Pro Max. Never dropped this low this quick.
