Bought one for proline by the fire for night crawls. I put a raw 500 in before the first run. I changed the wheels and tires and used the lowest shock ends. That is it. This truck PERFORMS. Friends comment all the time about how well it does. Brushed motor, stock radio, no weights. Crazy.... This will be my son's truck. He's 10. He'll love it.
I’m guilty of the same thing I recently bought a scx10 2 trail honcho and I’ve had two previously so I unboxed it and upgraded all the electronics wheels tires put metal links under it and installed vanquish gears in the trans and even swapped the ring and pinion to the two peice set instead of the centred one piece ring gear and I installed u joint axles instead of the stock dog bones all before driving it once you build a handful of rcs you know the nessicary parts and upgrades and sometimes expeshally for you driving away to crawl you just don’t want breakdowns when you go out that said the phoenix is definitely though outta the box I oan 3 vanquish pheniox
That was a very honest and excellent review Logan! Appreciate your candid discussion and really liked the approach you took to showcase the strengths and weaknesses of the Fordyce truck. I'm holding out for the Limited Edition version of this truck once Vanquish release it like they did with the Falken edition Phoenix. Fingers crossed for that!
Will a direct wire drain your battery faster or same if say equivalent servos. And Holmes hobbies sells a harness where it plugs right into the balance connector. Easy peasy! I just did a 777;on my Scx10iii gladiator
Their tires are great performers I agree the first thing I do before even going out for the first time is add metal beadlocks. And most of the time new tires. My WDW hat is pretty worn I’m going to have to check out the hats again.
My rtr is great, especially with machined gears.. I love the challenge of class 1 tires in the predator compound really climb better than expected, plus it looks like a 90's rock crawler..
Logan, by far the the best review video on the Vanquish Products Fordice RTR. You hit on every point, both positive and negative. Along with awesome trail footage. Is it possible to get a pin drop for that location for the next time I am in that area. When I was at Sand Hollow State Park on my way home from PBF, the rocks looked unaccessible for my Santa fe to drive to. That area looks accessible. Thanks again for the great content. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you at PBF. At the time I saw you, I didn't realize it was you under the sunglasses and hat. Great disguise. 😅.
So I got hooked on crawlers with the mini’s. I’m getting ready to purchase my first 1/10. I and thinking I will do the rtr straight axel Phoenix or should I just do a Fordyce? I may eventually do a hardbody and I want to make it a good crawler on a budget. Is the twin transmission worth going for the pheonix?
Josh didn't just send you one? Lol. I love the straight axles. Have them in my vs410 rock pirates interceptor build. This rig looks like a good prospect for that
I really like my Vanquish rigs, but you are dead on about the shocks. I own three sets and they all leak. I've rebuilt two sets with new seals only to have them leak pretty much from the get-go. Built many other brands, no where near the issues. For the cost, not impressed. Vanquish, if you're listening. Get us some upgraded/ redesigned seals for our expensive shocks... please!
It’s like a cheap pro witch is my favorite truck of all times
This video 100% just sold me on a Fordyce. Not big on rtr stuff but this looks super fun with just a few basic mods.
maidened mine today . got it from crawl space . it great to be a novice because everything feels like progress .

My shocks leaked straight outta the box!!🤣
Awesome video. Not live yet, I just know it will be awesome though

Great review. I really enjoy how you break down all the upgrades and why you did them. Very informative. Thanks!!!
Thanks for the review. Great video Logan
Excellent review Logan! Great breakdown of the truck and it's pros and cons. I love the look of the S8Es but they do leak like crazy
Love mine it’s great.

Awesome run and review man! 😎💪

@westdesertwheeler guns & r/c's nice bro
Hell yeah
Scratches $500 rig: time to pack up and go home.
Dents $10,000 rig: I'm gonna drive another one.
Lol!!!😂😂😂

We need to see a heads up with the Fordyce and the Enduro SE. 😎
how do you adjust the steering endpoints?
Great review!
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it
Will the Fordryce body fit on the phoenix chassis / sliders. Also if u add holes for door handles do u think the phoenix interior will fit. Thanks
Looks sharp
Would you recommend this over any axial RTR?

other than the knight runner have you had an element truck?
Owned 2 gatekeeers. They haven’t released anything new since their first release nothing that I have seen worth getting lately
Awesomeness ❤❤
If a guy were to add F10 portal axles to the Fordyce would the gearing go lower or higher?
It would go noticeably slower
Hello 🤗 rc run so cool 👍🤗
I know how they chose the name, but holy wtheck I can think of 30 better names in 30 seconds lol.
It’s named after a Region in California. Known Jeep Trail.
@@MTDub99 who are you informing???
A friend is selling a new in the box Fordyce. Mine for 400 bucks

I kid y’all not I didn’t read the title but the way he took the thumbnail I though it was an actual car not an rc lol
Only downside with Vanquish is their bodies look terrible. This being the worst of all. Looks like a Matel toy. Great vid again, thx.
Well you can always swap a body that’s the easy part.
These are now $399 at Amain.
