My local Hobby shop got 4 in today, by the time I got off work and had time to call they had one left and the owner is holding it for me. Shout out to NRC racing in Nanaimo Canada for never upcharging when bringing in product from the states. Gotta love when I get to save money and buy local vs ording online direct and getting hit with border fees.
I ALWAYS love to see what Logan has cobbled up...however, everything I've read, seen, watched says this kit is a SERIOUS rig out of the box. So I'm not surprised to see Mr Logan putting it through the paces. What's awesome about this rig, is that everyone that has done a video with it, has done so on the terrain they most commonly crawl on and this beast swallows all of it and comes back for more! The only thing that grates on me, is the noise from the esc...I get it, some of my rigs are noisy too....somehow, on video, specially with earbuds in...like nails on a chalkboard. Anyhow, awesome content, Logan, as always. Thanks for taking us on this ride with you.
The VRD killed some serious lines out there! Great kit, definitely a serious competitor. I would love to have seen the machined brass portals included, instead of the cast portals that come stock. That or a lower msrp as the cost seems a bit high for what you're getting. That being said, not much else to fault here and there is still lots of room for upgrades. Those Krawlers are nicely worn in and hitting their stride and with the Squids inserts, that combo is just an amazing setup! 👍 And thank you for using a brushed system. So tired of hearing fan boys going off about the Fusion. Dont get me wrong, I use the Fusion myself (and love it) but find a brushed setup is still better in some situations.✌
Hi Logan, nice build! 👍 the brushed Hobbywing 555 motor will fit also with no cutting or grinding required it’s 58.5mn in length and it’s only $21.99 at AMAIN
Dude I've already watched it a couple times now trying to make up my mind but man let's freaking go bro that thing is amazing that one you done was insanity
Hey logan,im sure youve experimented eith removing the axle bumpstops on f10s.have you had sny cvd ussues if yoive tried it?or any other reason i shouldn't get a few more degrees.
Brilliant video and excellent instructional content Logan! Hats off to you for providing us with such top quality video and driving techniques! Love the new body paint and was thinking of getting a cliff hanger body for my Carbon build (in transit) but after seeing the body that you used for yours, I think I will change direction. Super job! Keep the wonderful content coming!!!
Using this great vid and a couple other great vids to build my first ever comp crawler. Already have the carbon on the way. So is this a 2.2 wheel and tire setup? New to the game the build design of the krawler tires look to start out as a 1.9 but end in a 2.2 ? Was hard to follow their site. Some links to that exact wheel and tire , inserts, rings (inner) and hub build would be awesome. Did ya out brass or sintered band rings on the inside ? Looks like the spec wheels are all sold out or not making em anymore, their whole site sold out Thanks again , awesome video
What a badass climb dude that's the reason why I try the stuff I try radical crazy stuff and I'm not that big into 110 right now it's mainly because of my lifestyle and my job man you know I'm so always on the go that it's hard to go find a big area to crawl but with the smaller stuff I can take it with me and crawl I'm sure somebody will make a knockoff version of the smaller thing be cool to see him do a 18 scale or 24 scale for the people that are in that community
How long until we're back to stick crawlers. I like the comp crawler stuff a lot more then scale so it's cool to see this don't get me wrong. But it seems like a giant revolving door of what is in style haha
I am wanting my 1st lcg truck I have watched this and your acent review what would you recomend I am local to Cherokee rock village if the terrain would affect the decision. I understand the acent would need work thats why I am unsure.
Please turn your PWM up on the ESC. That squeal was hard to deal with. Great job showing the capabilities of this kit. For me though, it’s overpriced. There’s no reason at all that this should cost more than the Phoenix kit. This would have been killer around $350. For the money I’d rather get a Phoenix kit and pick whatever chassis I want to use with it. Could even sell the body and make a few bucks back.
@@shaynejenkins446 right. That was/is overpriced too in my opinion, but it was a pioneering kit though. Vanquish could have easily undercut their competition. Like I said, should never have cost more than the Phoenix kit. There’s more in that for less money.
@Ginga_Ninja_RC I hear you....but, as we all know, VP is the cream of the crop. Not everyone can afford a VP kit, and I think that's why they do it. To, kind of, weed out the dabblers from the serious. That said, I find it hard to cough up that much cabbage when, like you said, I could easily take one of my Phoenix rigs and put a Zoku or Rock Pirates flat rail to it and still come out cheaper in the end. And I'm not exactly a dabbler, as it were. So, yeah, I feel you
@@BigMountainCustomRC maybe I'll do what you said ,,, put a Rock Pirate Interceptor on my Phoenix,,, it would be ok on a rtr ? Can I keep dig and OD? Thanks
Fantastic content as usual. What is the weight and weght distribution on this setup? The nice thing about having crummy hearing is i didn't hear any esc noise whatsoever. My hearing loss is right in that frequency! 😂
Love your channel and love your builds and I hope this comment doesn't get me banned but that body reminds me of one of those cheap redcat Everest bodies with that paint scheme and colors 😅 after seeing it that way it can never be unseen again 😬
It can never be unseen again? Ur really that petty? And yes it can be unseen a bunch!! And u must not watch much RUclips? Because there's tons of videos on there of those red cats being customized and turned into some very capable rigs!! And plus who r u that makes the decision about if that body can never be unseen again!! Dont close ur eyes ever again!! Or get another body that u like and sent in front of it and stair at it for 72hrs straight u will forget about the RedCat body that wasn't even close to a Red Cat body! I'm pretty sure he said at the beginning of the video that it was a new body from proline! And good luck with life being part of the Alphabet gang👍and I'm pretty sure the Obama bin laden back up team!! So why not give this a try? Try not being apart of the problem but instead being part of the solution! I promise u will start to feel alot better about ur self and it will make u eat humble pie. And u will start to realize that the world doesn't revolve around u and ur feelings! And when u realize that u will develop a character in ur self that will allow u to adapt and overcome anything that might come ur way!! Because what we grew up on was if someone or something can make u change how u feel then it has control over u and it can leave rent free in ur head! So we call it being able to put a steering wheel on someone's back and being able to drive them anywhere!! But driving them crazy was the first goal! And that was easy with weak minded people!!
Impressive, put those heavier brass knuckles on and that truck will be unstoppable. I'd like to see how steep it can sidehill with all that overdrive as well.
Light weight trucks are the future lol seriously tho people are going to start catching on real quick. Tune your anti squat instead of adding brass... that's what Vanquish did here
Very Impressive setup, there is a very loud buzz around 10,000 hz coming from your electronic section. On the video wearing my headset very very disturbing..
Is every company gonna take away the Awsome lcg custom community. I mean I guess knockoffs already had. But the Gspeed/brazin/TGH/rock pirates and others nitch, now back to axial and vanquish and redcat
I am having a hard time understanding the overdrive in these rigs. Is it all of the wheels that are overdriven? Or is the front overdriven more than the rear? Typically I would want the front to be overdriven and not so much the rear… can someone help me under this setup?
Looks great out there Logan, and that paint absolutely rules!
Awesome video. Love the commentary while driving. Very capable truck! Thanks!

That climb at 16:05 was awesome! Really digging the VRD. Can’t wait to compare it straight up against my v4 G-Shot! Thanks for the video! 👍🏼
That line at 21:00 was ridiculous! I was like dude yeah right. Walks it*
Outstanding content, Logan. Amazing build. I would love to see a crawl off between the VRD Carbon and the SCX10 Pro.
Awesome build. Can’t wait to get back home for the weekend an one myself
Also love the look an performance of a very warm crawler for sure.
Nice paint job as well
I’m learning more & more how important overdrive or underdrive really is. Any crawler you have will improve its climbing with it without a doubt.
There is a limit and this is pushing into the realm of too much. It’s a lot. Driving across a sidehill the ass will slide down hill
I prefer just ten % overdrive myself for just that reason.
@@westdesertwheelerbecause of that would you recommend the Stance?
Great video Logan! Looks like Used G8 is what I’ll be running on my VRD. Time to pick a truck from my collection to scavenge them tires from.
G8 with about 100 miles on them is the ticket! Haha it’s the 100 miles most people can’t make happen
Beautiful paint job

Sorry about the ESC noise usually not an issue with my brushless setups. Appreciate the kind words
That first rear steer climb was sick

Looks like one bad ass truck bro but don't forget this it takes a badass driver to drive like that too
Wow that’s impressive!! Love the amount of flex in those shocks…I need to apply that to the ascent!
What kind of superglue are you running on those tire treads. Lol. Those lines were wicked.
Thanks! Another great video. Really considering this as a new project after seeing your run with it.
Great video man.
Awesome build.
I'll be doing mine soon.
cool new look, RC with great adventure, always good videos bro👍👍😃😅😅😅

Curious what the vw body would look like on this. It has a bit longer wheelbase I think than your vw beetle

do you think this truck would be a good 4ws rig? thinking bout grabbing an extra front f10 to throw in the rear
Bad ass rig for 💯
I lost track of how many RC's you've recommended now.
Wow that was awesome!!!!
Persuaded me to build mine and possibly try brushed 👀💯
Oh man. Thank you for the content.
I think you need to a VRD VS Scx10 pro shootout.
This will definitely happen at some point
Do you prefer the krawler tires over the jconcepts ruptures?
How long until we're back to stick crawlers. I like the comp crawler stuff a lot more then scale so it's cool to see this don't get me wrong. But it seems like a giant revolving door of what is in style haha
You just need to buy one of everything and you’ll always be in style :).
Yep.. agreed
I have a Hittman Fab Dlux MOA on the shelf

Do you think I might achieve similar performance with the Zoku carbon chassis rail kit for my VS4-10 Phoenix RTR STRAIGHT AXLE truck?
Great videos man! I am sold on this truck! Let me ask, is there a way to mount a winch on this truck? Thanks for the great content!
