It's crazy to think I've watched you grow over the last year and you've almost surpassed some of the big dogs man like there's some guys it's only got sixty thousand subscribers and be doing it a long time there's some guys that have been doing it a long time and don't have near that many it's crazy I don't know how you're doing it but you've really draws attention for real really cool very proud of you
I almost got the regular Vanquish but instead I got the Traxxas high country F-150 if this one was out I would have bought it. Welcome to the big crawlers there are just as much fun as the little ones. ✌🏽
Great video. Excellent review. I have a phoenix straight axle, I’m going to pick this one up. I was really impressed with your video, so I subscribed to your channel, looking forward to more of your videos.
Man, being new-ish to the hobby, I'm REALLY glad to see quality brands like this get some light. We all know and love Axial and love/hate Traxxas (lol kidding) but this is SUPER compelling for about the same price as a TRX4 (
Great review/video, love the clarity, close up footage and the fantastic scenery. Best Vanquish Phoenix video out there in my opinion. You sold me, Falken Phoenix now ordered and hope it arrives soon ;-) Thanks for the great work you do/share!!
I love the "comp stance" sticker. Just ordered the hat. I'm getting a VS4-10 chassis in trade, to start my first 1/10 trail truck. I have so much in my AMain wishlists that i shouldn't have trouble finding parts, it's the lack of money I have a problem with...lol
My first 1/10 build was a portal kit Phoenix this last winter. What a great crawler. It really hooked me on crawling 1/10 scale. I also bought the rtr straight axle when it came out. They are both great machines with a lot of bang for the buck. Nice review. I'm really glad you like yours!
Wow, Adam that thing is about the best looking RTR I have ever seen! I would love to roll one of those in front of my camera! Great job showing it off mate 🤜
I put my OD on 4 and dig on ch 3. That way I can put it in 2wd on the 3 position switch. You are correct, you can do it. It's actually pretty cool to bash with.
Love the channel, and have been into 24th scale crawlers for awhile now, I just built a Meus MB24 from the ground up after watching your videos. I recently got the bug for a 10th scale crawler and after much research have narrowed it to the Axial SCX10iii Gladiator or the Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix Falken. While the SCX10iii isnt as good on the rocks compared to the Vanquish I love the look of the gladiator. Im also a sucker for that Falken livery much like you so it makes my decision much easier to go with the Vanquish!
Yes perfect way to send it off, well they are top notch, ain’t gonna get no better than Vanquish 👍👍😎 Appreciate you sharing the review catch you on the next one
As one of the people hyping it up to you, I'd say yes, it is worth the hype. I don't have a portal but I think there's a place for them. I'm a straight axle fan in the bigger scales. In the 24th scale rigs, portals are my go to. That said, I'm happy you pulled the trigger on this...I know, it's not a very friendly $$ amount. However, it's not the crawler for everyone. And, if you listen to Josh over at Vanquish/Harley Designs, out of the box it isn't intended as a crawler....its actually intended as a "Trail Truck" but I took mine straight to the rocks and you could've fooled me. I do suggest Crawler Innovations Comp Cut foams and I upped my wheels and tires to the Vanquish/KMC Roswell wheels and the super tall TSL Super Swamper tires from RC4WD. But, being on straight axles, I was looking for that extra height...I'm not sure how that would translate as far as the portal axles raise you center of gravity already.
Nice video. I have the portal kit before all others came out. I switched out the skid and used my vsd pro motor and straight axles from that kit. Didn’t want to use the extra od and went with a winch.
Great video! I absolutely love my Phoenix. I went with the straight axle kit. I had the same expeience with the tires as well. Mine came with the VXT tires with thier basic compound. They were actually pretty bad before they were broken in. Even then they were just ok, but the overall package was great. I did just get the Falken tires today though. One thing I would recomend if you havn't looked into it already is to get the Fine Laser Designs clipless latch for it. It is a quick release sytem for the back so you dont have to deal with the body clips. It holds tight enough that I can pick the truck up by the cage, but I can stll open the body with one hand.
I have both RTR’s. They are so worth the money. I use dig on channel 3 and OD on channel 4 for both. Trucks of freedom is a fun way to gamble when they do their promo.
Hey Adam, love the video, great work as always! I'm not sure if it's already been suggested but I think it would be really cool to see you use this rig or other tenth scale rigs to offer a comparison video on the Furitek tenth scale stuff vs like the hobbywing 2 in 1 with FOC. I know the tenth scale stuff has been available from furitek for a little bit but I haven't seen much content on it. Anyways, thanks for the great content!
Thanks for watching! I've got some new Furitek 1/10 content coming soon. Their new Python X is legit and now I can do direct comparisons between the Hobbywing setup and the Furitek. My thought was to put the Hobbywing into the Vanquish and then run the Gladiator (now on Furitek power) along side it for some comparsions
I’m stuck between decided on this Vanquish or the Furitek Cayman PRO 6x6. I think with the Vanquish, I can add rock lights and LED light kits to take it to the next level.
I want one of these but I made the mistake of buying a scx6 honcho. I don't recommend buying one. You find yourself apologizing and telling the rest of the fleet you still love them and haven't forgotten about them😂
My question is should I do portals or not? I have been trying to find out if there have been issues with portals breaking or stripping, but I have not really found anything. I just don't want to have to buy gears for the portals constantly.
@CapeCrawlers oh I'm not complaining, I absolutely love it. I got the jlu scx24 when they first came out a few years ago, and you got me back into crawling. I've always had bashers, but man...breaking stuff every 3rd battery pack got old.
Hey cape! I just bought this model not too long ago. The steering angle is nowhere near 47°, how would I go about making it so? The turns are so shallow and I have no idea how to fix it
You should be able to adjust it with the end points on the radio. Vanquish sets it at a pretty conservative stopping point from the factory but you can turn that up to get full range.

I hope it's good I just ordered one!......love your videos and what you do for the hobby.

Thank you for helping out with my purchase 😀
The Gladiator is a mean machine out of the box. The Phoenix VS4 quality is top-notch. Nice review.

Thats a great rig right out of the box, the best part is you don't have to spend a ton of cash to make it perform. Awesome video Adam 👍😁
Tire and inserts and you'll be nearly comp ready!

which do you prefer? straight or portal?
Wow, Adam that thing is about the best looking RTR I have ever seen! I would love to roll one of those in front of my camera! Great job showing it off mate 🤜
Thanks for watching! I originally wasn't a fan of the boxy style VS4-10 body, but this livery just works. The whole thing ties together so well!
I put my OD on 4 and dig on ch 3. That way I can put it in 2wd on the 3 position switch. You are correct, you can do it. It's actually pretty cool to bash with.
Love how they did the sunroof, that’s how I did my pro body I painted it all black used masking tape for a sunroof turned out awesome

My wife is very interested in this truck maybe we'll have to head out to fort Phoenix if she pulls the trigger 😊
We always love the good vibes you send out. ❤

I'm a believer now!

I’m so glad I got it. I really enjoy it. I’m going to change out the foams and get brass portal covers up front. Not sure if it needs anything else!
Nice video. I have the portal kit before all others came out. I switched out the skid and used my vsd pro motor and straight axles from that kit. Didn’t want to use the extra od and went with a winch.
Just ordered one of these. I’m from central Ma, and my home track is RC Excitement. I have a few scx iii.
RC excitement is amazing!
Very nice ready to run! Vanquish Rocks!

I think I'm going to switch my channels like you have. It makes more sense to me now. I am watching for the next TOF drop!
Well done, thanks for the review!! 👍✌️
Nice, vanquish is my next product I want to try. Cool video by the way.
Dual Stage Foams should help your tires, look into Pro Line's Dual Stage Foams, which are the best.
I've got those in my gladiator. I may have to switch them to the Vanquish as I feel it needs them more!
@@CapeCrawlers of course!

Interesting choices because they're so different. The bigger size of the vanquish puts it in another league in terms of performance and capabilities
Looking awesome, love my VS4 10 Pro
I want one of these but I made the mistake of buying a scx6 honcho. I don't recommend buying one. You find yourself apologizing and telling the rest of the fleet you still love them and haven't forgotten about them😂
Haha! I do like that honcho...
I've seen it set up so it was front 4x4 and rear without locking the other end
Are you able to link the servos you used for dig & OD?
Good lord that's impressive
have you gotten a new hard body for it? Thinking of buying it but want a Jeep body wonder what is required to get a new hard body
My question is should I do portals or not? I have been trying to find out if there have been issues with portals breaking or stripping, but I have not really found anything. I just don't want to have to buy gears for the portals constantly.
Realy sweet Vanquish😋. But i'm sad, thats car are not coming too Norway 😢...
Sorry to hear that!
What's the battery bay size or what's the biggest battery I can use
Nice video!
This man really has a new build or truck at least 4x a week. Those scx24s are sometimes a $800 build
I reinvest the RUclips money into the builds to keep the fresh content coming!
@CapeCrawlers oh I'm not complaining, I absolutely love it. I got the jlu scx24 when they first came out a few years ago, and you got me back into crawling. I've always had bashers, but man...breaking stuff every 3rd battery pack got old.
good stuff man.
soooo how to get one of those transmissions for a trx4m... hmmm

Steel or plastic wheels?
Plastic centers with metal rings
Poor you, no need to modify it 😂
The only thing to modify is: metal wheels, hub spacing, and add scale details.😂
