- How To Fix Keyboard Not Working on Acer laptop
Many Acer laptop users have reported that the keyboard on their laptop can’t work properly. some of the keys are not responsive or all of them stops functioning. You can’t use my laptop without a keyboard. It’s possible to fix this problem - even without your keyboard. Let's fix it.
1. Completely reboot your laptop
2. Disable Filter Keys
3. Update your keyboard driver
If you don’t have the time, patience or skills to update your driver maually, you can do it automatically with Driver Easy.

I wasn’t able to resolve the issue using this video. What actually helped is to choose the second option to manually search for drivers in the laptop and install it again.

If these don't work what worked for me was just updating windows. Nonetheless I would never have thought to do that if I hadn't seen this video thanks a ton!

I’ve done all of these things and more. I bought this laptop like a month ago and the keyboard started being weird a couple days in. It kind of fixed itself on its own but its doing it again. For two days I’ve been trying. Nothing is working.
I really hate it. I bought it last month as well. It's very inconvenient to use this kind of laptop. I followed a lot of tutorials but it works just for a day.

Ok so I literally tried everything to get the keyboard to work again on the internet and nothing would. What I did was let the laptop completely die and restarted and it worked. Was just something I wanted to try since literally every 5 videos I watched about system settings to uninstall predator sense did not work. I played a HD video on you tube so my laptop died faster. So grateful I decided to experiment. Hope it helps who ever has done everything and nothing has worked .

Just had something like this happen to me except both track pad and keyboard has no functionality (the power button still worked). I pressed and held the power button for 30 seconds, let go, and the laptop booted like normal and now everything is working. I have an Acer Aspire 3
mine only worked after I set my laptop back to factory settings, lost some apps but my keyboard is now working.

I am using acer laptop. i also tried using a system restore point, took it back 2 weeks and it worked.
HOWEVER on turning my laptop the next day at the login page i was unable to type.

UPDATE drivers : Didnt work for me. i just UNINSTALLED THE DRIVER. restart the windows. And FIXED.
Absolutely nothing works. I've tried every software and hardware route I researched from various sources and the keyboard still doesn't function. The ironic part is that I use an external keyboard and barely even touched the built in one. My next laptop definitely will NOT be an Acer.
If it doesn't work try pressing numberlock, it works on me and hope it helps :)

@@sreejithcs9443 Hey, after all this time we still haven't found a solution to that. I just bough a mini USB keyboard and plugged it in my Acer. That seems to be the only way my friend... sorry.

NO Keyboard or Curser on mine after Windows 10 Full install. Had to connect USB mouse and keyboard to upgrade drivers via device manager and Acer support driver downloads.
