Totally agree! New phones are more powerful than Nintendo Switch and maybe even a Steam deck, but there simply is no content to put it to good use. This might be the first time in a while, since crazy Xperia days when mobile phones are aiming at the true AAA games, instead of mobile cash grabbers and I’m all in for it! The question is, how many people are really going to pay 60$+ to play on the touch screen, which is not really a gamer thing? Considering you have to buy good grips for your iPhone that turn it into an actual controller, which is an extra 100$ and then you’re almost spending the money you could spend on Xbox Series S… Which you technically could take places and have a full fledged console experience, or simply get a cheap switch lite, if you’re into different kind of games. My point is, “true gamers” don’t look at their phones as gaming devices and people who do play games on their phones are usually not interested in any hardcore gaming that takes more than a few taps on a 2 min break. Nevertheless, I want this trend to continue and I hope more developers end up releasing their big games for the iPhone, since having a phone with the grips(or even without them) is way more convenient than taking a phone and deck/switch with you.
Yeah I agree I hope we see more AAA games or even AA titles. My wild thought is that if the trend continues Apple will introduce a different Apple Arcade tier that's like Xbox game pass so users have another option instead of paying $30- $60 per game.
i’m pretty sure people that like gaming like me will buy and spend the money that you had to spend just to have that on the phone
Ill gladly pay that if I can play on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac
