The performance was top notch but MAN did Atlanta DISAPPOINT, first tour in 20+ years and the crowd and mosh pit were dead? These guys are halfway out the door and that's how we say goodbye?
1994 was these guys hay day all the way to 2002 and yep i was there and saw it all and i met my now wife there too its kool to see this and as me and phil are the same age how he moves walks slow , no shoes , welp just to let u kids know ...lol thats what pain does to ya at almost 57 yrs old from jumpin off speakers back in 1994 see how it catches up to ya.
I miss Dime and Vinnie! At least we can hear Pantera song´s live. Phil is killing it. I saw damage plan before Dime´s death. I will go and see this tribute also
If you can't put damageplan CD on and crank breathing New Life especially the solo or Dimes intros and parts to other songs then wth. It might not be Pantera but to call it garbage? As far as Pantera before Phil I never listen to it because I knew it wasn't my kind of music. I would never call anytihing Dime and Vinnie done garbage I'm too much of a panterra fan.
There's ONLY one guitarist that I have thought of that could pull off a fill in for Dime and that's Zakk Wylde. Phil have really got his voice in check...damn... But I am torn about it. Vinnie or Dime would never ever have done a reunion, sadly but respect for that.
Southern Rock is Lynyrd Skynyrd. Not bad. But pantera is SOUTHERN METAL that set a precedent. They created something different. They always got my blood pumping. Proud to say they're from below the Mason Dixon line!
I told my friend at the start of the show, "I bet the Mastodon guys are here." Last time before this that we were at this venue, we saw Mastodon. And sure enough, Brent came out during this song. Haha!
I love Pantera 🤘🤘🤘 Saw them a few times at the Palladium in Hollywood. Epic times!! I love Phil's stage clothes!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Just got out of the pool and ready to BBQ some delicious Texas Meats 🍖
I'm from dallas, I kn, the boys., The song is wrote about Steve Farr,(phar)? It's not something you go telling everybody, If your steve. He and Phil went to high school. Together.
Great show but felt like there must be some volume restriction at the venue during the week. Recent weekend shows at the same amphitheater felt louder.
Not Pantera in anyway shape or form. When Rex and phil were in Down and played Pantera songs live that was not Pantera. When Vin and Dime were in Damageplan and played Pantera songs live that was not Pantera. This was a Pantera tribute band at best
I can understand re-living the new concrts but,! Dime would still be here if Phil had just reconciled with himself if 2000! Otherwise it aint worth watchin!
Sorry cover band did Phil overdose yet ?!?!?! Asking for an Abbott. Oh and Jeffrey is forever in Dimes shadow lol have fun pretending to be a biker Jeffrey
This bullsheit isn't Pantera. Need to stop using the name and brand. Anselmo is the drug addict that gave it all up. No ties to Pantera and yet now making money off of people that are dead. Greatest tragedy by far...
@OfficialBandBRecords do research. Vinnie foreseen this after his brothers death. Even when he was alive, he stated, " we could go get Zack and play, but it would never be Pantera." Research what anselmo did to the band before giving it up for heroin. Of all the people on the planet, he shouldn't be anywhere near the Pantera name. Disgraceful, like a junkie trying to fuel the addiction. 😕 😪
@@ttwizzle8693 Yeah I know all that. And I’m totally on Vinnie’s side about things. But after Vinnie, Dime, and Rex, (in that order) Phil is more “Pantera” than anyone else and was a major part of their sound. And after seeing the crowds reaction to the show, I think most people loved seeing their music live again. They did all they could to make this great. This is as close as some people are ever gonna get. And as a Pantera fan, I think those people deserve that.
@brett4345 to make money off of people who are dead. That couldn't stand to be in the same city as you, when you were brothers once and sold it for drugs. Vinnie foreseen all of this, and you sheeple are like yay Pantera! Nah, fam! Not even close... Some things boil down to money and respect... Abbott Brothers rolling over in their graves... tragic
I’m not gonna argue that, but this is the only way for people to have the “live” experience with Pantera. And there was a really nice Cemetery Gates tribute with video at the show in the middle of the set.
@@daviddonnell2153 Not sure about Dimebag but Vinnie was actually against it. That’s why it hasn’t happened until now. I understand Vinnie’s reasonings but at the same time the fans have wanted this for a long time. I enjoyed seeing them again.
I can’t believe how good Phil still sounds. Dime and Vinny would be proud.
Not true. Vinny never wanted to reunite with Phil.
