      I met DIme twice and he was the most genuine person I have met. He absolutely did not give off the vibe that he even knew he was a living legend that changed metal forever. He saw my CFH tattoo on my forearm last time and took a pitcure with his by mine the second time. That was the last Damageplan show ever in AZ. It was only 4 months before the world lost him.

    • @aaronhiggs
      @aaronhiggs 2 года назад +54

      I saw damageplan a few weeks before Dime was taken from us. I met him and he literally turned to me and asked if there was a kfc around the venue. I said yeah. He asked if I could go get him a bucket. Lol. I walked down grabbed some chicken. Came back and I ate a piece of fried chicken with Dimebag. They don’t make dudes that cool anymore.

I love coming across unearthed videos of Dime... been gone for 20 years but seeing these videos makes it feel brand new and as if hes still alive and with us. I always wonder if he was still around would Dime be doing RUclips tutorials and playthroughs? Because a lot of the videos I come across are of him just sitting around and showing off licks and how to play solos and they were recorded before youtube even existed. He unknowingly left behind videos of himself for people to watch way after his passing. Even in death I have learned so many licks watching Dimes videos and he is still influencing people till this day. Dime and Gary are both missed dearly.

      @@addisonperrigan8369 as far as I'm aware, it's the latter. there's no song that I've found with his name in the credits with a solo that resembles that specifically. this video is more so that Gary Moore solo that everyone in the comments is talking about, but the Live Damageplan solo (the one that I did another video on) is something he just threw together specifically for the live shows, not in a song.
