I really like that fast and heavy part at 0:00 - 34:51
Go out there and seek more wisdom, my brother!

LOL. They Are Metal Gods.
I like the part where theres drums
Haha, indeed
i liked the heavy part
You mean the entire video?
+Yiğit Kasal haha
+yeahman I like the thrashy part.
Personally, I like their commercial poppy songs better 😂🔫🔪☠
yes the whole video
R.I.P Hanneman, you're missed man.
Yeah
:'(
He is, and if it were not for his alcohol addiction and his fucking ego to never listen to ALL the FUCKIBNG people around him telling him to get help for the past 2 FUCKING DECADES - if not more - he would still be slaying it.
Mr Hanneman to you.
he passed away ... he can not read you anymore. Just to say ...
Just look at that. It goes pitch back for raining blood and there isn’t a mobile phone in sight. Beautiful.
*JUST A QUICK EDIT FOR THE RUG RATS CALLING ME OUT SAYING THERE WERE NO SMARTPHONES.
THAT WAS THE POINT OF MY COMMENT 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
Old school. Be in the moment. Fuck yeah. There's hardly any moshin at the end. They're like wtf?
It was 2004. What you going to do, play Snake? :)
I guarantee you if smart phones existed back then they would be out, just like they are today.
yeah man let me just whip out my smartphone with a massive bright screen in 2004.... braindead
@@GuilNascimentoThere were cellphones. Nobody wanted them. Didn't want or need the accessibility. Everyone had an answering machine so they didn't have to answer phone. Ex wanted me to get one but I refused. Why buy something which I knew would get lost, broken, or I'd throw out window because kept ringing
Tom is a Machine. Everyone's always talking about Hanneman or Dave being the best at what they do, or hating on King. But Tom doesn't miss a fucking beat. Every show, every album, and hes always the most humble guy in the room. What a boss.
Totally agree. Cool personality, great showman, and a musician 🔥
Yeah, I have total respect for Tom even as a singer.. as many words as hes spitting out during those songs you can actually hear him clear and it doesn't sound like a mumbled mess, too. Even on songs like alter or reborn.. I'm sitting here singing along and not even playing a instrument while struggling to say the lyrics clearly and fast and trying to keep up with Tom lol.
@@eldiablo3794 Haha literally same here!! :)
Paul Bostaph Is More technical
@@ManuelGarcia-qn3rk I'm going to respectfully and highly disagree with that assessment if you're comparing him to Lombardos abilities lol.
THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESRIBE THIS ALBUM.
WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND WENT HOME TO HEAR IT MY MOTHER WAS REALLY SCARED WITH THE SOUND.IMAGENE BACK THEN.
SHE THOUGHT THAT THE DEVIL WILL DEMOLISH THE HOME AND POSSE ALL OF US INSIDE.
THE NEIGHBOURS COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT WAS THIS SATANIC MUSIC COMING FROM THIS HOUSE.

Good neighbours. I bet they head bang through their flat.

My neighbor's love when I sing Slayer after a long day of work sitting out back cooking on the grill. Love and life! Long Live Slayer!
It’s amazing how this album shows absolutely no age whatsoever. It still sounds as fresh in 2020 as it did in 1986.
2023 now and still fresh and killer as ever

It's Beautiful
that end part in raining blood with dave destroying the drums with that trash rhythm in 10x sick speed, tom losing his fucking head on that bloody heandbang, kerry and hannemman doing his impossible infernal ultrasonic riffs.. god, this is by far the greatest thrash band in the fucking world, the emotion, the concept, the violence, the energy, the skills, the blood.. at this day no 1 big band can beat slayer in terms of horrific grimiest brutality

Its amazing how people of all ages enjoy slayer. For example, I’m 12 and I love them, whereas there’s people like you who are in their 50s who can also enjoy this music. I don’t know any other genre of music that can do that.

Im 51 and was. a teenager in 86 when this recording came out...so f'ing good I don't even have proper words for the power this album brings.
I couldn’t believe what I was listening to back in 86, when I bought this album. It was the must brutal sounding album I had heard back then.
hell yeah, I'm 50 now and my first experience w/ Slayer was in the early 80's... there was this college station that would play thrash on Saturday nights... 88.7 one of the New Haven, Ct. colleges. Anyway it was off of Show No Mercy 'Die by the Sword' ...I was in pure metal bliss... great time to be a teen.
I wish I could've grown up listening to the big 4 when they first started. I enjoy metallica the most.

It's ok young men, the music lives on forever. I'm glad you're keeping it alive 🤘
@@Bojannna44they were amazing times. First time I saw Slayer I was 14, on the Hell Awaits tour. An older friend of mine had a band that opened for Slayer at a small club in Boston. It was 18+ but I was allowed in because I was a "roadie" for my friends band. It was epic. Saw them 12 more times. From small clubs to stadiums. At least you can still listen to the music and watch these amazing videos of them.
@@Bojannna44 I saw Slayer for the first time in 1987 when I was 13. Back then most of the Thrash bands played smaller venues. We went to Bogarts in Cincinnati sometimes three nights a week and the tickets were $12-$25. When I graduated from High school the price of tickets started to skyrocket but we kept on going to the shows. Imagine seeing Death on Monday, Exodus on Thursday and Overkill on Friday followed by Coroner and Obituary the following Thursday and Heathen and Exhorter a couple weeks later. I remember this particular run of shows because they were at the beginning of the school year and I drew all of their names and logos on the brown paper bag covers we had to make for our books. There were so many bands on tour and we tried to see all of them. Slayer, Metallica and others started the Thrash movement by playing the music they wanted to play, not what they thought people wanted to hear, Start your own band and encourage others to do the same. Use this great tool we are on right now to connect with other young thrash fans and bring Thrash back to it's Glory! Make your generation the next DIY generation like Gen X did.
You wouldn’t have liked it. There was no Internet there was no Fortnite.
God listens to Slayer.
When they play live everyone does
Slayer was a gift from The Gods!
fuk yeah
Of course He don't. That's your only hope.
It would need a sense of humor now wouldn't it?
Even though i used to think that this album is too short, now I appreciate that it lasts just long enough not to die in the pit

Went to see Slayer in London in the mid-2000s, the Astoria off Tottenham Court Road. They played a set with some recent material - God Hates Us All - and some favourites - from South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss. It was a great gig. They were physically intimidating, massive guys looming on the stage, the sound was enormous, just like Decade of Aggression.
And then they played 'Angel of Death'... crowd thought it was the last song. But instead, straightaway, Piece by Piece, then Necrophobic, then Altar... and you realised they were playing the whole album REIGN IN BLOOD as an encore! At the time no other band had done that - at least not aware of it - although others have followed suit since. Incredible idea.
Have seen some of the world's great pianists (eg Pollini), many live orchestras, operas, stage shows, plays, many other gigs and events (eg Metallica at Wembley 2007), but I still think Slayer were at the top of all the live performances I have ever seen, in any genre of music. Their output may not be 'musically' challenging but it is ridiculously fast, loud and physically exhausting, with an incredible impact. Their togetherness, their power, their drive, their accuracy, they were just unlike anything else at this point in metal history (other bands of this era had faded or disappeared for a while - they just kept on going and going). All 4 guys here were just unstoppable and amazing. Best live show I have ever been to, possibly will ever go to!
An amazing performance, a model of thrash metal. Thanks for sharing!

Postmortem is one of my favorites. That riff is out of this world!
So underrated
Ya best song on the album
Mine too
I like the guitar part
I was at the show, my mom bought me tickets for my birthday! The blood rain was a lot more visible in person.
My mom works behind the arena and saw them testing the blood rig but had no idea what it was..
Slayer Rules...they never put out a power ballad or changed to become commercial. Were always hard and powerful. I love Slayer.
Diabolus?
Saw them '93 in Budapest. Machine Head opened the show. Still remember as my favorite concert. Tom had a smile on his face throughout the whole show. They loved it just as much as we did.
Here I am, on the 28th of December 2019, revisiting an immortal classic show
''Angel of Death'' and ''Rainning Blood'' are still kick ass songs!!
Melodic Metal TV Whole album is!
Postmortem transitioning to Raining Blood is the heaviest shit of that year
Necrophobic still blows my mind to this day.
@@LifeGrindcore Hell yeah. The whole album is great. Thrash metal peaked with this album.
Agreed
Lombardo Rules
Yes, Sir.
It’s very sad how he was treated trying to look out for himself and his fellow band mates. They did him so wrong for simply speaking up they were being ripped off by the record company. He’s an amazing talented drummer and for what he did I respect him for it.
It's not Slayer without him IMO
Lombardo the fucking machine
They came to Slay.
And Slay they did.
Saw them 4 times.
Fucking miss...
SLAAAAYYYYYYEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
I had no intention of watching this all the way through. I’ve seen them live and bought this album on vinyl when it was first released. But like Kerry said walking off stage, “That’s a fuckin’ rock show”. The insane precision, the relentless pace, the sheer musicianship, there will never be another Slayer. Tom’s demonic vertical bloody windmill gave me the shivers. He looked possessed!
Slayer has been with me since the beginning of their inception. Slayer isn't just a band... Slayer is a way of life
They hooked me in early with Show No Mercy. I know every note of that album.
Tom totally killing it.. going hard on vocals for 30 min.. talks perfectly fine immediately after.. right on..
GOD BLESS SLAYER for shooting this video.. Their best album with the classic line up! Lombardo ain't human and RIP Hanneman..
@ruffnek It's not God, but some like to proselytize a fart if it forces their religion into the face of people who don't wanna hear it. That's where we are in 2022, eating religious bullshit whether we want to hear it or not. But THEY will claim they are persecuted. FFS, even on a goddamn Slayer video I have to hear this shit.
baronial. Don't think God have something to do with this.
Hey DAVE, JEFF is banging his head in respect for you, I can feel that is true. Slayer did not miss a beat when you joined my good man. RIP, Jeff; you will be forever loved and missed among all who love heavy metal and beyond.
I see them in Milan in 1987, on Reign in Blood tour...when Necrophobic started, it was total delirium. The concert I will never forget in my Life. Tom Araya forever! 🤟❤
i never understood why they dont play Crionics from Show No Mercy live anymore whwn i was 13 and first heard that solo it changed my life
John Mediate I feel the same about black magic
Martin Hernandez ive seen them 25 times and they usually play black magic
Crionics sounds a lot like Iron Maiden
Jaret Contreras Oh it toootally rips of Hallowed Be Thy Name/Genghis Kahn. Love it, but it does.
Same with Praise Of Death.
Rest in peace Hanneman!
Slayer in Milan, 1990 has been my first concert ever. They began with Angel of Death, I thought I had died by the half of the song. It didn't happen, I am here still alive and bangin' at 49 y.o.
Мне 51 год. Я офигел от этого. Slayer - лучшая металл банда всех времён !

I was so into this band when their first three albums came out that I wore the Slayer t-shirt every day for about six years. Yes I washed it periodically :) I can't count how many times I have listened to these albums; they never get old. Best thrash albums ever. Best thrash band ever -- and there are many great ones but none like this one. Reign in Blood is their great masterpiece.

@@JaimeDuendeDeGongora Careless Whisper was a takeaway from the demos of this album, given to George Michael for being way too brutal for Slayer
I don't care what anyone says, They were the absolute best out of the big 4. They continued to just shred on everything. My all time favorite BEAST out of all of em. Metallica wasn't touching them in the 80s and 90s💯 🤘
Them, Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth? Is this ever a fair comparison? Slayer are STREETS ahead of them all. Anthrax were great back in the day and Metallica have mellowed too much. I never did like MEgadeth (Peace Sells is a cool song tho)
@@timmellor2599 Megadeth has some great stuff but their first album stands out even today imo.
Absolutely have to agree!
slayer are the most heavy... but megadeth are leagues ahead with riffs, solos, notechoices, lyrics, i could go on.
This will always be probably their best performance since and after. Both Jeff Hanneman and David Lombardo were truly the driving force behind their fast and furious DEVILISH music.
Slayer is the father of all brutal metal bands and always will be.
What a frickin amazing album!! I remember first listening to it in 1986....crazy....

The power and energy in this show is about equal to the beginning of the universe. holy fxxk.
by far the most metal thing I've ever seen in my life
на одном дыхании. 30 минут как две. Обожаю эту группу, обожаю этот альбом.
See, now all you non-headbangers get the feeling right??? This feeling, the rush of the fast heavy metal, the messages behind the music is what drives the force that makes you get emotional when listening to it loud!! It was a joy to watch so many people getting into the music.
Specifically in this performance, the end of Altar of Sacrifice into the beginning of Jesus Saves is so much heavier than how they play it on the album, I fucking love it.
ya its bad azz
The best thrash metal band of all time. They never sold out like Metallica did with load.
Diabolus
so they are done. Well done, Slayer. I love u
Jeff wrote the hymns of the band. God of Metal rest his soul...
True
The fun part about metal show is that it might look horrifying for someone who hasn't experience one but everyone is super nice. You might get knocked down if you go in the moshpit but you will get instantly lifted up and people make sure you aren't hurt.
Thats so not true, I worked for tailor made security at this show and there were fights and injuries all over the place.

LIFE LONG FAN!
I've listened to Slayer since the early 80's...well '84 forward. I heard Hell Awaits and Show No Mercy and like them, but Reign in Blood came out and I became a life-long fan. I'm glad I was able to see them live. I still can't believe they are done...their sound is completely unique. There are countless hardcore metal or thrash or whatever you want to call it, but NOBODY sounds like Slayer. Their sound is so unique. They still put one out after losing Jeff , and Repentless was a good album...I can't help but hope they'll give us another album or two before any of the rest of them leave this earth.
I like how Kerry King has no neck. Just a head attached to shoulders.
Met Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman at a Vancouver Canucks hockey game where they recorded God Hates Us All.
I love Pantera...lot of hard stuff... but any time it s so hard for me to listen to Slayer.... it s still like so great, so hard, so taff that i can 't handle that beautifulness .... God fathers of soul in fast Rock n Roll....agree?
Try Kreator's Pleasure to Kill. Only other album that in my opinion matches the brutal intensity of Reign in Blood.
Being in a Slayer moshpit is one of the most exhilarating experience that everyone should try at least once! 😳🤣😎✌😳✌
