    Specially we’ll walk you through our thoughts around the phone’s glyph interface, arguably its most signature feature, the screen quality, battery life, mic quality, camera system, some issues we ran into, how the phone’s camera system compares to the Pixel 8, and Nothing OS and what differentiates it from a lot of other versions of Android out there.

      Hello Guys, I have recently bought Nothing Phone 2 and it came with serious manufacturing defect called screen burn. Many people have this issue with Phone 2.
      Nothing support is worst than i thought. I visited the same Nothing Service Center which is there in the video.
      They are ready to repair the device under warranty.
      How fair is it to repair the device which is few days old and unused? I tried multiple times to replace the phone through Flipkart, they denied by saying contact manufacturer for any manufacturer related issues. I contacted Nothing Support on 31st March 2024 which was the last date to return and it was Sunday. They responded me on the same date and told me to visit Service center with phone and all the accessories. I checked the Service Center it was closed due to Sunday. Very next day i visited the Nothing Exclusive Service Center Indiranagar, Bengaluru and they continuously denied saying 7 days policy is over, only repair option is available. I contacted nothing support and Flipkart support, no positive response.
      I even requested them to replace it under warranty since its a serious display issue and the phone is unused and brand new, still they denied. Tell me guys, how fair it is to me to repair a brand new phone which i just got couple of days ago?. I literally wasted my time trying to replace my phone in Flipkart. Please help. I have attached my X profile ID where i have the detailed post and please support !

    I am using NP2 since november and it is hard for me to say that it changed my user experience drastically. Mosly because my old phone was a motorolla one, which has a lot of cool gestures, like do not desturb while phone is flipped and few more that are similar to nothing`s. But overall I really enjoy this phone. It is nice and comfy, quite customizable and simply beautiful.

      @@JohnMarston-sf1vk sorry for the late response, I'm freaking blind when it comes to notification.
      Recently a new OS update dropped and I'm loving it. About competition, I'd say for me it is somewhere on galaxy s23/s24 (non ultra, non plus) level. It has refined software (except ai features), pretty nice hardware and what's the most important, it was made by people who actually use smartphones. Things they add to updates is what you never asked for, but can't live without it now.
      For example it always bugged me that some icons are nothing themed and some don't. Solved! Now you can enable nothing icons on the main screen, and in the apps tray they will all be default.

    I bought a Nothing Phone 2 on Black Friday and my thoughts so far are: this battery life is awesome, night mode and post processing need serious work, the UI is so smooth, it's not comfortable to hold but I somehow still like how it feels, the glyphs have come in handy more than a few times, does everyone know the hack for getting the flash and glyph lights on at the same time?, and finally this phone needs better speakers.
    Overall I love it so far, but I miss some of the features from the LGV60 I came from.

    Why i own a Nothing Phone :
    1️⃣ Design, symetrical front panel, different from others even if i don’t have IP68 and
    2️⃣ Nothing OS 2.0 : smooth, features, great personalisation: abilty to do Split View, Floating Windows and Cloned apps together as opposed to Pixel where you only do Split View. Picture and Picture on video but it's not the same for Floating Windows like OneUi, Nothing OS or MIUI when you can do Split View and Floating Windows at the same time.
    3️⃣ Good performance overall, good hardware with 8+ Gen 1, wireless and reverse charging and Cameras are ok
    4️⃣ Support: Nothing Co. listens consumers and update both NP1 and NP2 frequently.
    Nothing Co. will improve Cameras and support in future but right now, it's a pretty solid large phone, lighter than most 6.6' or 6.7' smartphones on the market, even with a case.

      Hi should I go for nothing phone2 or wait for nothing phone 2a?

    • @jatinbandhiwal1987
      @jatinbandhiwal1987 3 месяца назад

      @@nielsjunker1487 Depends on your budget.
      I have been using Phone 2 for over 2 months I must inform you that if cameras are in any way important to you then do not purchase this phone. The cameras, even after multiple updates, are still inconsistent and mostly SHITE. The wide angle is absolute atrocity, it cannot capture good HDR photos and at night time it performs worse than a phone half of Phone2's price.
      The main camera sometimes handles HDR very well and other times completely disregards what HDR even is. The details from the image are not up to standards either, they just look over processed and lack clarity.
      The screen is not that bright either, auto brightness only boosts brightness when bright light is directly hitting it otherwise the peak you are going to get is 550 nit or something, which is also pretty garbage.
      The display does not play HDR, Nothing has not fixed their display's inability to play HDR videos even 6 months after Phone 2s launch. You can't even enjoy HDR videos on RUclips.
      Look, if you want a clean experience with a stock Android feel, then go for it.
      But Phone 2 is not worth the price it asks for when it barely does anything right.
      There are some definite pros though,
      1. Flat 6.7 inch screen, you can use a screen protector.
      2. No complaints in performance either.
      3. Battery life is A++, I am talking about 8-9 hours with moderate use and if your usage is light you can push 10+ hours. The 45 Watt charger charges the phone in around 55 minutes (if you are not using it) I usually charge it for 30 minutes only, it goes from 30-90% within that time.

    • @jatinbandhiwal1987
      @jatinbandhiwal1987 3 месяца назад

      @@nielsjunker1487oh, and some other things, The Phone 2 does have 128, 256 and 512 GB varient.
      You won't find 512 GB in other phones in this price segment.
      And speakers are sharp at high volume, which means it is uncomfortable listening to anything at max volume.
      The vibration motor is weak as fuck!
      I can't feel a call or text if I am walking and the phone's buzzing in my pants.
      As far as the appearance goes, Phone 2 is truly stunning and beautiful. I doubt I have ever seen a more beautiful or cooler looking phone. So there's that.

    i picked the phone 2 myself becuse i love the fluidity, it actually feels more flid then my dad's old iphone 13
    and the stock animations on every phone feel slow to me so i set all animations to 0.5x and the phone 2 still stays smooth
    pixel is not an option for me becuse of indian weather
    and i have big hands so a bigger phone is more comfy
    the only place where i saw the phone 2 lag was minimizing google maps with navigation on (very oodly specific i know)
    the camera isnt the greatest but i am good at photography so i can click good photos on any phone who doesnt overprocess
    so i wish the camera has more control like a pro video mode
    and i noticed that if u manually reduce the exposure in the dark in normal mode it still brightens up the image, which is a it anonying
    and i got the android 14 update on christmas, my dads S22 ultra got mid jan. which was a crazy shock to me

    If you want a midrange phone with fluid stock - like experience, nothing is the only way to go. Other brands like moto are not as fluid and smooth. Google must improve their pricing in India or else it won't last long in the market, especially with it's heating issues.

      Update: So it's been about a week since i got it. I love it, quite the upgrade from Huawei Honor play and it's showing. The screen is bright enough for driving at noon, 5G fast af, after the updates also enough features to use it fully. Love the glyphs and always-on-display. I'm still not fully aclimated to having to recognise all the icons, but that'll come with time. It feels quite premium to me, i haven't dropped it yet and hope i won't, cuz my case hasn't arrived. Haven't experienced fast-charging yet because i don't have a power brick powerful enough for it, waiting for that to come too. Bluetooth connects really quickly, at least to my cars transmitter. The "stereo" sound is amazing, it comes out both from top speaker and bottom! just like it's said in multiple reviews, the fingerprint scanner could be a bit higher, but it's not bad and is also quite quick, at least you won't really notice it being slow unless your finger is so off that it can't read it. Also you can add multiple fingers, i know basically everyone can, my huawei also could, but still it's a nice QOL. While i don't use the camera much, i've been snapchatting a bit and it's good... if i was conscious about my skin before then i'm even more now. The animations on oppening apps is really cool, haven't had issues with overheating, though it was a bit warm when i was driving like 4 hours in 22C weather with it being under the windshield in direct sun, but it still worked fine. Battery life is amazing! If i actually have a life and don't spend the entire day on tiktok then i can go 2 days on a single charge! I haven't utilised glyphs that much as.. well.. i don't get notifications and when i do those are from team snapchat telling me happy bday, but that's a ways away before i get that one. It doesn't have it's own gallery, which was a bit confusing at first to use google photos, but i heard they're working on it. So yeah, that's about it from the top of my head, if you want more just reply to me and ask!

    Pretty accurate review! 👍 I just got my first Nothing Phone, a 2, just a couple weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it so far! I've been a long time Pixel user and had been using a Pixel 7 and was disappointed with the 8, so I thought I'd try the NP2 out and I'm glad I did. It's surprisingly close to the Pixel experience with the super clean OS and no bloatware and the overall smoothness, but I really do enjoy Nothing's look and feel and the App Cloning and App Locker - I hope Google adds to those to future Pixels. I think the NP2 will be my daily driver until the NP3 or the Pixel 9 comes out! Oh, and you mentioned you wish Nothing had a feedback system, similar to Google, and they do! Look under your Settings, System, and scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see the Feedback listed there. I've already used it a couple times. 🙂

    What I don't like about this phone is the lack of features offered by the competition, like smart cutout, smart erase, Dolby Atmos, HDR on Netflix, better image and HDR processing, and the biggest of all: spatial audio. They need to add these

    • @spacewolf363
      @spacewolf363 3 месяца назад +2

      Lacking HDR on Netflix isn't really Nothings fault. Netflix has a policy that it has to be preinstalled on a phone in order to enable HDR which doesn't go together with Nothing's clean and bloatware free system.

    • @dpgwalter
      @dpgwalter 3 месяца назад

      Dolby Atmos is literally just a license Nothing needs to buy to get it on their phones, which would make the phone more expensive. Smart eraser functions have been built into Google Photos for years, though you need the One subscription for it (and Google's will be better than Nothing's, just due to the sheer size of their AI departments). Image processing is just fine, and Nothing is part of the shrinking set of companies that offer a pro camera mode where you can tweak every setting AND export RAW photos, letting you get as much out of the sensor as possible. If you care about photo quality you're gonna be using that anyways, if you don't then the camera works well. Spatial audio is a minor gimmick that I don't even know anyone actively using.

    Short review : The phone is good for the price.
    Its performance is good, battery life is good, screen is excellent, the glyth is gimmicky' its cool at first then after a month or two you get bored of it, but the phone looks good with it so its w/e. Feels good in your hands, Gaming performance is good, upto date lightweight operating system, top display on market 120hz ltpo oled, the custom interface theme is a nice touch, alot of people are jealous of your "skin" on your "iphone" lmao,
    The bad :
    The camera & video quality is terrible. Much superior options available for half the price if you need a phone with a good camera.
    Abysmal slow charging like the top 10 flagship phones, (no idea why these flagships are charging at abysmal speeds) nobody wants to wait an hour or two to 100% lmao
    Not water resistant enough for anything that involves alot of water
    If they fix the camera's on the next phone then it will slap most of the competition but as is the cameras are being slapped by sub $200 phones, tuning is terrible, hdr is terrible, dynamic range is all over the place, light fixing is terrible, upscaling is terrible, night-time is especially difficult for the phone.

    What I hate about the lighting design behind, I do not keep my phone face down and I do not know why everyone so love the lighting. For me it is just a gimmick for attention and design to feel different from their competitors
    Camera is really not that good and since my job really requires me to take lots of photo and travel, I find the pricing is just too high for such a low grade quality it can provide.
    So I would say for price I would rather go for Samsung s23+ which now lower compare to this phone with better chips and better camera with longer system update support that rival nothing.
    I would say, nothing should lower their price around usd300+ would make it a unrival phone

      5. Probably just ran out of time implementing it, A14 (Nothing OS 2.5) was a upgrade, one of the biggest I've seen happen
      6. The Glyph is a pretty big extra feature, but their whole idea is to make a great phone that doesn't bloat your time. It does more than enough already.
      7. False: If you're half decent at framing and composition this camera can do wonders. It also has pro mode with RAW export, which lets you create genuinely incredible images with a bit of editing (which you'd be doing anyways if you cared about the photos you're taking)

    The use of colors to solve problems is a lazy design solution. Not to mention the accessibility issues it poses for color blind users. Nothing does well to try to remove the color out off the equation in the Weathers APP, as it shouldn't bem crucial for the experiência.
    Nevertheless, I do agree with you that in Apple, the informativo is clearer. But one has to understand that it was an aestetical option.
