The SECRET, More Fun Way to the Hollywood Sign : The Wisdom Tree Trail!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 авг 2021
- I complete a full hike to the back of the Hollywood Sign and also visited the Wisdom Tree, the lone survivor of a 2007 fire. The tree is a Los Angeles treasure, and many make the trip remark at its beauty. This trail is rugged, tough, and comes with steep ascents. I also climbed Burbank and Cahuenga Peaks, the highest natural points in Griffith Park, and with it came great views of Los Angeles.

That was amazing my friend! Absolutely amazing and scenic, you are the hardest working 💪 RUclipsr officially now. 👏 👏
That was I think the hardest video I've seen you make! That was also the most scenic I've seen LA! Those views were breathtaking!

Pinned! Great moments from this hike!
Isn’t the girl at 27:27 the same girl at :45 on Wonder View Dr.?
One thing no one can ever accuse AK of is being a RUclips grifter. This guy works for the money, and provides great content.
I need to google grifter. I will say he seems very genuine and fun!
@@jackdaniels2905 In the RUclips sense, grifter means RUclipsrs who produce mediocre content that requires little effort, while they constantly beg for donations.
Probably having fun doing it as well. Month long trip to Los Angeles.
I was so scared for you watching you hike up that trail! I kept thinking how easy it would be for you to lose your footing and tumble down that steep hillside. I was literally breathless and fearful. You are a brave man! Thank you for this adventure. It was extremely interesting and exciting.
Happy to make it then. Good shoes help a lot with this trail! It's easy to slip since the ground is full of loose dirt and rocks.
Scared me too! That trail was “oh hell no” on the way up, and trying to go down that same trail would be “no way Jose” !!
Sorry, but when he said, while panting, 'That Wisdom Tree Better Be Worth It' I couldn't help but start cracking up.. 😂
And that tree ended being more like “ a shrubbery”. I expected something a lot more majestic for the effort! 😂
Thanks, Action Kid - you're a real cowboy of the olde west!
Much appreciated
That was absolutely AMAZING AND BREATHTAKING! Much respect 👏
Thanks! I was completely mesmerized with the views throughout this entire hike.
@@ActionKid Yes, those were some amazing views!
Hi MsCelestial Ascent 🌹
I agree 💯 with you. I'm so proud of AK and his accomplishments. This was even more epic than his first hike up there. He is such a hard worker. And he's a wonderful young man. ❤❤❤
@ Mary Reed ❤️😇
Thank you! I love your videos. I am a blind person, and the level of detail you provide is fantastic whether it is hiking, walking a neighborhood or taking a transit line. Plus, your positive attitude is a real pleasure.
Omg it was a nail biter. So close to the edge up so hi and dirt and rocks that could have gave way. Awesome hike. 🚶♂️
I was a nervous wreck n my seat for him.
God bless. Stay safe.
Gotta be in good shape to be doing hikes like that. Good job Ak. And beautiful scenery. After your hike here, a post workout shake with electrolytes, certain amino acids and simple sugars will prevent your muscles from getting really soar and breaking down. Elite athletes take custom post shakes after intense workouts because it allows them to recover more quickly so that they can train hard again the next day.
Keep it up!
Thanks! I had a really good meal after this hike.
You certainly live up to your name!
Wow AK….I admire your bravery & determination. That was soooo freaking scary but the views were incredible. Idk how you did it, my feet & legs wouldn’t have moved me bc I would’ve been frozen in fear. I love seeing how adventurous you are.
I agree with you 💯 Michelle. I was thinking of you when AK was passing by some of those close edges. I would have been worrying about rattlers, mountain lions, etc. Along with tripping and falling. But our AK did it!!! Another epic journey.
@@maryreed2619 Wow that was something else wasn’t it? I’m so impressed w/how well he navigated that hike all while filming too!
Michelle French McGraw i agree totaly😃i could feel how his legs must have felt! Spaghetti-legs😂😂😂
amazing video as always Bro Wonderful and Splendid The Great City Los Angeles !!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
AK puts in work rain or shine dedicated a true warrior 🏆☝. Much respect for your hard work 💪. Love the posing at the end of the stream with the Hollywood sign
Thanks Genaro!
Wow ! Excellent job. I was sweating just watching it.
Bravo action kit bravo twice climbing the Hollywood mountain.
Sorry Action Kid
Thanks!
Wow this is courageous of you AK.. I noticed you took a photo of the rangers phone jic
oh gosh AK, be careful out there! man that is steep and sketchy,
1:11:00
amazing view...... no wind, no rain, warm
Someone needs to bring some acetone next time to clean all the blue paint that someone left behind.
Great job AK! Thank you for taking us somewhere I won’t be able to go!
Wow what gawjess views AK‼️🥰🥰🥰 amazing hike
Awesome! All of it, the hike, the day, the beautiful camera work, just amazing.
Wow, my palms were sweating as you were living your life on the edge! 😱 Thank you for showing the trail to the Wisdom Tree, and the views are breath taking! How awesome is it for you to be able to hit your bucket list item twice. 🤩
I liked how AK pretended the Hollywood Sign was on his hands
Wow! That was some hike. You are amazing.
Millions have viewed the sign from afar, but you, AK, have been there. Twice! Props for sharing the hikes.
Ken, I have never seen LA sky as clear as on this video, really amazing. Great timing up there to get these shots.!! About '79 I worked on a pool in those hills. The top half of the house was gone and up the hill every house was burned down, a raging fire the year b4. No joke of fire over there. What a treat this vid is AK! you're doing a fine job.
Great Panorama views bihind the Hollywood sign!, thank a lot for taking us there, bless you enjoy for all of things you do, Appreciated you AK!👍🏁✴️🥰
AK you must have legs like a bodybuilder with your pace around LA 😎
He has legs of a cyclist.
nice job!!!
😂Endurance Tree is right‼️‼️‼️😱😱 I give you much props AK🥰💯👍🏼
This is quite the change from your NYC videos!
I must add, the views throughout and near the end, and your peaceful feeling, were just amazing.
So dry ! I guess that is why there aren't any animals! I hope California get's rain ! You have guts! Your Really Exciting to watch! really Amazing !
You can see the Wisdom Tree from Cahuenga Peak! That’s awesome 🥰🥰🥰
Stunning views my friend. Thank you!
The views couldn't be beat from up there.
Nice walk ActionKid. I always enjoyed walking virtually with you. Thanks for sharing. Take care always and God bless!
Small world meeting others from New York. Thank you for this amazing video. I am relieved you have good instincts for hiking in the hills. Take care and thank you always for your interesting and fun videos.❤️
This made me very nervous watching this video because of all the rock climbing. Also there were nothing from stopping you from falling down the cliff. I’m very glad you made it safely and you did a great job as always.
Oh gosh! It’s beautiful but your poor legs must have been hurting after this😃thank for this experience🙏TC! 🖐
I hope when I’m out in LA I can overcome my fear of rattlesnakes so I can do this hike. But if not, at least I got to see it through your video. Thank you! I had no idea I’d find the Hollywood sign as interesting as I do!
Respect🤩👌👍💥💯
Thank you for some great entertainment by far the best walking videos because of its commentary content, Los Angeles is beautiful, this sign to the Hollywood sign and your other video using the easier trail has some excellent scenic beauty, who would have thought of these things, most people who go to LA do other things but thank you for giving your viewers another perspective of this beautiful city of angels, take care be safe, both those hikes were breathtaking !!
Thanks for this video ! Looks amazing. Best wishes from London England
I knew he was going to make it, but I had so much anxiety about those trails! "Discretion is the better part of valor", and I know I have poor equilibrium, and fall too easily, so this would not be my challenge.
But yes, respect for doing it, making it through, and taking those of us who couldn't do it, with you. Beautiful views; LA is truly beautiful. These are definitely keepers.
I don’t know what to say. I got out of breath watching you and listening 🥵 kept thinking don’t slip on that dirt and go falling down the hill. Thanks buddy but omgeeeee be careful.
I can't wait😭
Wow,that's some climb!!!
It was intense!
Awesome!
The most amazing views of LA and the San Fernando Valley. Thank you 🙏
I don’t think visitors that take casual hikes really understand how steep some of the grades can be! Like you stated make sure your able to hike certain terrains before heading out!
I can see how it can be out of many peoples' abilities! It's not an easy ascent up!
You are indeed the Hollywood Hiker- you scaled that mountain ascent in about minutes 💪 :o That was an adventure but those views are absolutely amazing and worth it.
And you met some other NYer's at the top of the mountain too which is cool.
Thank You ! I couldn't do that because the height and drop off would make me freeze ! I hate heights !
Socal trails can definitely be a bit more daunting than they seem, but you took it like a champ! I know the feeling of being out of breath on those trails, only to be smoked by locals who basically run right up to the top and never lose their breath LOL! A nice, relatively clear day too
Amazing. I didn't realize you went up there twice.
I hiked that trail years ago with residents. We started at the sign, then went to the tree next. There’s actually a hidden treasure over the cliff by the the wisdom tree - a little Buddha that people give things to. I have pics and video. Very cute!
My wife and I hiked this route yesterday. Very fun and technical! Also a good workout. We love your videos.
Yes, I must do this when I visit LA again. Thanks for blazing the trail, AK!
A slide from the top down would be nice and cool. 😂👌🏻
That would be so awesome if that was a thing!
It's so far down, it would get hot, even if it was made of something cool!
@@ActionKid only you... only you! Thank you for the thrills and chills! (Watching from beautiful downtown Co-op City :-) )

Snakes can't regulate their body temp internally, so they use external sources such as sunlight or hot rocks. Also they use shade which is where a lot of snakes will be hiding during the heat of the day.
Also I'd like to add that if you're in Australia, more snake deaths occur inside homes, rather than the outdoors. Aussie snakes while venonous, don't kill very often due to a number of factors I won't list in a short video comment.
My nerves are officially shot!!😱
You picked a perfect day for this hike 👍🏼🥰🌴🌊⛰
This walk is one of the most amazing I have seen Ken!! Phenomenal and there is so much to see and learn about!! Thank you so much. It is enormously appreciated. Whoa!! Just when I think the steepness is over - there is even more steepness to encounter!! This is a mindblowing walk Ken!! You rock!! :-) P.S. Spectacular views!! :-)
You breathing hard makes me nervous. Don't overwhelm yourself. But anyways I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!!!
Very amazing up view lanskap
I was scared for you in a few places 😮 wow !! 🇨🇦
I highly recommend a pair of collapsible hiking poles. They’re especially useful on descent.
@Wooster OMG I thought the same thing as I sat on the edge of my seat in NYC, biting my nails, sometimes covering my eyes, and after the ascent wondering how @ActionKid was going to descend! That was better than ANY adventure movie for sure..
@@ChuckysBoo haha, imagine if his videos included action sound effects and suspenseful music.
So nice that you got to see the Wisdom Tree and the Hollywood sign again. I watched some of your other videos and was so excited that you got to see the Brady Bunch house! Little Taipei was awesome too. Love the haircut!
I just had to revisit this hike again!
@@ActionKid Fantastic!
My word , that was a hike. I wasn't expecting it to be so dangerous! Amazing vlog!
An amazing walk, but that trail would be a no for me dawg :)

Wow what an amazing video with amazing views. Great job 👍
Wow great scenery adventure AK your brave...
Absolutely breathtaking ! Thank you so much !
This is what I would like to be doing. Good going ak
We'll turn AK into a grizzled mountain climber yet
We did this hike in the summer of 2015. Amazing views!
Loved this thanks so much
Amazing Hike U the man AK a True Soulja Salute StaStrong
Awesome job.
ActionKid, wow you did it! It takes someone brave like you to have done that climb. I could not have done that by myself as I am scared of heights. So glad you made it safely back! 👍👍👍👍 ActionKid, since you are up there already why don't you stay over night and enjoy the view!
WOW! The views were absolutely stunning Ken! I bet you didn't think you'd go mountaineering in L.A. . The hike was a bit scary at times (at least for me with my fear of heights) . And I'd have loved to have got hold of the idiot with the blue spray paint.... just disrespectful...
Very very well done Kid! I know you put up vast distances and leg work in NYC but this is a different kettle of 🐟! I would take a bandana/neckachief with plenty of water. Keep moistening the bandana with water and use it to keep your head/neck cool! Some salted peanuts or potato chips and my favourite is dried apricots! 👏
They make neckerchiefs with little water holding beads inside of them so you can wet the neckerchief down, tie it around your neck, and it keeps you cool! A lot of stores in Phoenix, Arizona sell them!
@@conniec7650 👍
An amazing hike AK. I hope you took a day.off to rest your muscles and leg bones. You are the.the best by far.
You made it.
Well... You made it, all right!
Awesomeness
I guess on a hot day it would be more enjoyable later in the day. Maybe to even catch the sunset in the way down
i have been enjoying your videos - mainly the ones in LA. thank you
I horse back up in these hills ! There is a horseback club that rents you horses! Los Ángeles is a lot of fun
Working hard. This was not a smart hike to do alone .
Beautiful views
GREAT!!!
PS. I wonder what was going through the city kid’s mind as he panned his camera around the scenery while standing alone above the nine white letters? Thank you for taking us off the asphalt and beaten paths of urban California. (I also enjoy your city walks because even there, you often take the road less traveled.)
Such a nice hike more careful when you do this stuff Thomas from Astoria
