@@davehollis5816 I agree with those. He could also do with reduced start up and end lag. His attacks are really slow.
@@flynnjaturtle2545 I'd disagree on that one. I think his frame data is average at worst, and even on the quick side if you know what you're doing. Frame 6 dtilt, frame 7 nair/fair, frame 9 upsmash. When I play him I honestly feel really quick and agile, with fast options even out of shield. I'd even say those options have a lot of killpower and damage.

I watched this after deciding to pick up Mewtwo as a pocket (I kinda already have one as a pocket since I played him for fun in Smash 4) and I decided to download guides from you not too long ago to see what knowledge I could gain. This analysis was absolutely appreciated as hearing your breakdown was quite refreshing and insightful on what to be doing when playing (depending on situation, of course) Also, as a Greninja main, that last match tilted me a bit. Not enough movement and whiff punishing, and too much damn reliance on dash attack! My boy, that button is for whiff punishing and catching landings ONLY!! That player deserved that L. Well played.

You play so good neutral this time...but I love when you play Mewtwo like a Rushdown sometimes!
I think whether or not he plays rush down depends on the matchup. Since he played a lot of aggressive characters he had to play more defensive because they would bring the fight to him.

Please can you help me : how can i instant Fair when i'm on the edge (when i want to come back on the ground) ? If i jump + fair as quick as i can its not far enough to hit the other player. May someone help me to improve my Mewtwo ?
The trick is to input ledge-jump, wait a brief moment, and as soon as mewtwo is fully in the air input jump + forward air. This triggers Mewtwo's very slow double jump, halting your momentum long enough to land forward air on the enemy before carrying you away.
This trick also works with all specials, but you can't press double jump and use specials at the same time like you can with an aerial, so you just delay the special input very briefly. Doing this with confusion or disable is especially useful because both of those will stop all your momentum.

Playing neutral requires both an aggressive (offense) and defensive style of play. I was mainly discussing the defensive aspect of it, like forcing approaches and when to shield certain things.

@@myballshurt616 yeah! It's called a Nair Dodge Jump. Air dodging at the very beginning of mewtwo's jump speeds up the jump at the cost of a little jump height and an air dodge

@@myballshurt616 double jump, the one that's problematic in disadvantage for being so slow
@@Splonton looked into it, honestly seems pretty good for escaping disadvantage as a surprise, and maybe a way to mix up recovery from below the ledge
