Respect for all those willing to send their babies sideways. Quick anecdote from Denver Colorado... about 20 years ago, I had an older Audi 80 Quattro 4dr. I loved playing with that car in the snow. On a snowy day, I pulled into the empty gas station parking lot in a 4-wheel drift (not anywhere near the pumps mind you). Four 10 ten year old boys who just came back from sledding on the nearby hill were watching. As I pulled up to the pump - the smallest one of them walked up to me and asked "hey Mr., can you do that again when you pull out?" ... I was more than happy to oblige - even gave them a figure-8 :) _Even the plainest of cars looks good going sideways._
Nice story Ivan! Those kids, now in their 30s can probably remember that wonderful moment. However, not everyone considers the Audi 80 Quattro as 'the plainest of cars'! Bet you wished you still owned it. Almost 20 years ago I owned a 964 C4 in concours condition and sold it as I was overseas on business most of the year. One of my great regrets. Anyway - thanks for the great story and cheers from Sydney - Dave
@@KitKitChanIsaac The D-Type driver looked to be one of the few who actually knows how to drive in snow! Having a couple big American sedans running as fast or faster than these sports cars is hilarious!
Millions of dollars worth of supercars from years past to present on an icy/snowy surface!!! Never would have imagined this was a thing. FANTASTIC video. Would have been cool as hell to witness this in person!
FYI: The Mercury XR7 convertible at 4:32 is the same car that George Lazenby used in the Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The Dune buggy at 8:40 is from the original "Thomas Crown Affair". I wouldn't be at all surprised if the purple Countach LP400 is the only one in the world. Thanks.
I knew what most of these car were except for the, Fiat Abarth OT 2000 Periscopio. The list of cars in the description is very helpful. I hope to go to this event some day. I've been to Zermatt Switzerland in Aug 1990 but we didn't see anything like this. Thanks.
Thanks to whoever did this production and put effort into its completion. Loved watching it,,,,, how could you not. The cars, the background scene. Beautiful!
Oooh! A Cisitalia D46!!! Its light weight enabled it to go very well on snow, it seems! And I'm so happy to see that Alfa Romeo P3 chassis# 50006 is out and about, not locked up somewhere (having been sold at an auction a few years back). And because the P3 is my absolute favourite car, I'd like to see more of that car, hopefully the owner would race it more somewhere. And that Maserati 4CL, though the snow chains flailing around scare me a bit for some reason... Plus that Ferrari 246 F1 and the 250F, and the man in the Jaguar XKSS... _not to mention the Ferrari 250 GTO playing in the snow as well..._
This is mental 😳🤯 that's what we actually want to see 😍 thanks for recording Bozzy 😎 Countach sideways in the snow ... In white 😎🤯 I have to attend this next year !
I grew up in the ice and snow and ice racing with motorcycles, snowmobiles and cars was very popular. Also, the Volkswagen Beetle was a popular winter car because the engine was above the drive wheels and they were good in the snow.
Aaaaalter was für wunderschöne Autos ❤ Respekt auch an die Besitzer mit ihren Millionen teuren babies im Schnee zu driften ! Die Italiener bauen schon die aller schönsten Autos

Wow Awesome Gathering of Vintage Race Cars the that made my JAW the most beautiful car ever The Jaguar XKSS, and Steve McQueen owned and Raced Steve McQueen down Mullholland Drive. His car is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles California, and I have 360VR interactive footage of it. Spectacular Setting in the Snow 👦🏻👍🏻🏞🏔🏁🏎
An incredible crazy-money collection of cars for sure - but the testarossa spider brought most joy to my mind. 0:29 Anyone having flashbacks shoving big coins into a sitdown outrun arcade machine? 🙂
One of the most bizarre, yet coolest car events I have seen

Lets have a round of applause for the D Type absolutely full sending.
Absolute chad for sending that priceless classic car into a snow dorifto
Slammin'
That was an XKSS, basically a de-tuned roadgoing version of the D Type.
Drifting a million dollar Jag is definitely not something I expected to see!
@@vitalhygiene3546 IIRC some of the XKSS cars had actually raced as D-types before conversion.
Looks like the winter ski retreat for S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and yes I'm loving every second of seeing these cars out in the snow.
Spectre? S.E.C.T.R.E! you surprise me Mr Bond. Classic man you nailed it
4:29 "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" - God, his wife was a real dream
Can’t say I ever expected to see a 250 gto, gullwing, d type, or zonda barchetta playing in the snow
100% Agreed :)
Nothing like priceless historic race cars and GT cars sliding on the ice. Thanks for covering and uploading this event!
Its better this way cuz replacing their tyres in this timeline would be a huge problem
Trust me they ain’t priceless , put them in a bonhams auction and I’ll bet you anything they ain’t priceless
The nice thing is, they don't get sand & grit in all the nooks & crannies.
The guys in the old open wheeled racers were clearly having the most fun that day.

I never imagined Zondas being driven quietly. How peaceful.
