- This year's "The Ice St. Moritz 2024" got cancelled due to massive amounts of snow. However this didn't stop the super- and hypercar owners, who would've originally attended "The Ice", from taking out their cars in heavy snowfall and icy roads. This led to an amazing day of carspotting.

All these multi-million dollar cars and here I am freaking out over a white Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2 lol. In America you show up at a cars and coffee with a CCXR or a Jesko and you’re pretty cool, you show up in a white Evo 2 and you’re the f’ing man.

yes,and fyi Evo2 in this video is actually "La Perla" limited edition called also "Bianco Perlato" , car is painted in Pearl white with blue interior and blue tinted windows ... 20 years ago saw it in Croatia .Fun fact -guy who bought it paid 40k ,now they are selling for 150k plus...
But the star of the show was of course that fully tricked out Panda 4x4 at 12:48!

@@pure_awareness its studded ice/snow tires. Rally cars always use narrower tires for snow/ice to have more weight on the surface area of the tire. Most normal cars also have slightly narrower winter tire dimensions from factory

Uh yea I don’t think the plow crews laid any salt down lol. And I’m pretty positive all these cars have ppf and ceramic coating, quick pressure wash and you’re good to go.

good thing with carbon is that it doesnt rust like steel. i have driven many miles in snow in switzerland and it is crazy how the car rust. with carbon you don't have it if you wash the car normally but i have a carbon made kayak and if it takes water too much carbon becomes soft

It's location of money-washing and show off. Many of them are not residents of Switzerland. Most of all vehicles are registered in the U.K., Italy, Germany etc. Even if they have registration of Swiss, they don't live there all year long. For example: Kuwait Aston Martin. What camel-guy do in Switzerland? Most of all native Swiss people drive Skoda Fabia, Fiat Tipo and same.

The first one is a RUF SCR, only 15 cars built. It's not exactly based on any porsche model because it's built on it's own chassis but it is closest to the 964.
The other one is a Gemballa Marsien by Marc Philipp. Limited to 40 cars!

It‘s the Aston Martin DB10! Only 10 cars were produced, 8 cars for the James Bond movie „Spectre“ and only 2 showcars. The car isn‘t road legal which makes it incredibly special to see one.

There is no such thing as a snow chain compulsory here in Switzerland. However, there are a few road sections that signalize an obligation for snow chains. St. Moritz doesn‘t have that, not even in these conditions.

I‘d say about 80-90% of the cars had winter tires but I‘m not entirely sure. We have seen some non-supercars struggling in the snow, most likely not on winter tires.

They were salted but that shouldn’t be a problem for the koenigsegg since it‘s made out of carbon which doesn‘t rust

Their motors have a limited life in ideal weather. In most sports engines, oil pumps do not cope with their tasks. Running such an engine in the cold is madness.
A G Wagon makes absolutely sense there. All others should stay in a dry and warm garage.

I think you misinterpreted this situation. It‘s one of the biggest events in the year for car enthusiasts. With „The Ice“ being cancelled it was a great idea to still go out and showcase their beautiful cars to the people. Would‘ve been a huge disappointment if they had kept the cars in the garages for no one to see…

However I do believe that these people still love cars but just have a different way of showing it. But no one was obligated to go out with their cars that day, they all chose to do so which, in my opinion, shows love and dedication
