- Here's a video fully focused on Bernina Gran Turismo, an event born in 2014 with the aim of keep the memory of the legendary Bernina hillclimb race of 1929 and 1930 alive, which is held on the beautiful Bernina Pass in Switzerland. Back to those years this competition was part of the International St. Moritz Automobile Week, which consisted of a rally, the kilometer race, a skill race, a concours d'elegance and, as a conclusion, the hillclimb race. Since 2021 BGT's organizers decided to celebrate the whole International St. Moritz Automobile Week of those two years with a selection of events which recalled the original ones.
Bernina Gran Turismo takes place on a section of the original route specifically closed to traffic, with the hilclimb course starting from La Rösa (1,871 m above sea level) and ending up on the actual Bernina Pass (2,328 m) after a total of 5.9 km.
Participants can either register for the event in a competitive form or decide to participate in the regularity race, where the ranking is stipulated based on who manages to better respect the speed average set by organizers. There where also few cars which did some demo runs such as the yellow Bugatti Divo, the Gumpert Apollo S and the two De Tomaso P72 prototypes. Last but not least at the end of each heat, a group of historic motorcycles did a very loud parade up the hill.

Of all the places you visit and film, this is my favourite. The audio, the visuals, the scenery, the cars, it's just stunning.
Can be nice make short intro recort nature,cars,some details...etc.
Same for me, dude! Only problem of being at high altitudes is the wind, which sometimes ruins how sound waves travel and you can't even hear the cars coming or moving away in the distance 😕
2019 was my first time there, I got hooked and knew I will not miss it again. Covid lock-down was a barrier, until i finally made this year, all the way from Egypt.

That section from 5:04 where the car's accelerate away from the start is the best part. Magic. I'd have liked to have seen most of the cars from that perspective, accelerating away.
The mountain singing the most beautiful songs
I love it, great rally. Just right mix of cars, super old, old, semi-old, reimagined old, modern classics, modern and super modern and even future cars / evaulation prototype (P72..)
And also the scenery, just perfect, there's no better fun car gathering than relaxed rally on beautiful mountain pass like this.
Warms my heart to see a Bug actually racing and not just being displayed at idle.
That Bug had a Porsche engine and was fully raceprepped. And street driven. A proper cool car. And a friendly owner as well.

If anyone wonders why the Mercedes 710 SS makes that loud whining sound, it`s because of it`s superchargers that was only activated when the throttle was to floor, unlike later superchargers that was always active, since they are belt-driven.

True to it's Ford heritage I guess. I need to know how they got that noise out of the engine though. I think it's a combination of the gear driven supercharger/intake noise shriek and the high revving V8 Coyote.
@@chapel976 The two P72s prototypes in this video have the naturally-aspirated V12 from the Apollo IE, like the red concept car unveiled in 2019. The actual development mule and the production P72 will have the V8 you mentioned

But that De Tomaso is not only beautiful (it looks rather like a slightly modernised Lola T70) but is definitely the best sounding modern thing by a long chalk. What engine is in it?
In these video the two prototypes have a 6.3-litre naturally-aspirated V12, the same you can find on the Apollo Intensa Emozione. The actual P72 development prototype (and the 72 production cars) has a 5.0-litre supercharged Ford Coyote V8 modified by Roush
Would it be possible on videos like these where there are a plethora of classic cars to put a graphic that identifies what's on screen at that moment? There are so many cars I've never seen before in this video.

What the hell is the engine in that P72? I'd read that they switched to a V8 for customer cars but that's trying really hard to sound like a V12...
It's a V12 on both of these two P72s. This because they're still two prototypes/show cars featuring that great sounding V12 like the red P72 unveiled in 2019. As you correctly read, the actual P72 development mule and the production cars will have a supercharged V8

Malheureusement pépère killy est mort dans un contexte terrible un accident de voiture à 52 ans j'ai gardé l annonce de sa mort sur un journal du midi de la France très connu il était commerçant à hyere merci pour cette video je suis trop émue les grands esprits se rencontrent wahououou comme l univers m m'appelle c'est trop fort.

In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN)
