I want to see the entire run of each car from start to finish!! The launch of each car and the SOUND of each car accelerating down the first straight is often the best part! shame about the shootout for the past 2 years, the timing only seems to work some of the time with no sector splits, and poor coverage of several runs (i.e runs not being independent, or filming a dakar truck of the rally stage instead) the formatting also seemed very strange, i feel like it should’ve been run in age order since we weren’t able to have qualifying but it seems like the fastest cars were sent out first, then a winner declared far too early leaving everyone quite confused
It was missing a bit of the magic, but some of it is because if the weather. Cant expect the Duke or the organisers to change that. Onto another year of development! The touring car shootout is always a fave

Not entirely sure why "saturdays cancellation" is a reason for this format? Have all cars wanting to participate, do the shootout as usual, with slower cars first - or just randomise the running order of the cars, so the audience doesn't know what to expect next. 15 minutes in they have awarded someone, despite another 30 minutes of cars running up the hill. Bizarre.

Lol, Rimac Nevera is THE Fastest PRODUCTION Road Legal car at SHOOTOUT !!! Faster than: WRC Rally cars (Factory drivers), Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport, Ferrari 488 Challenge...etc..!! Now imagine what's gonna happen when it's "Inside it's element"!! 🤭
Btw, where's the Eggs, are they still inside the box?? 😂
@@joebeus6886 PRODUCTION :) ha ha maybe fastest HDZ backed car :)
@@mdh00000 🤡
@@joebeus6886you are comparing it with cars who werent within their 'elements' either. None of them is a hillclimb car. And all of them are from extremely regulated series. Compare it with the speirling, which is going in production next year. 39 seconds lol.
@@askeladden450 ROFL, and Rimac is a Hillclimb car?? 🤭 Nevera is a Hyper GT car and all others are RACE cars!!!
Regarding McMurphy, it's NOT a car, it's a Toy! Looks like squashed Batmobile! 😂
Single seat, super small battery, super small range, super small size! Also it's never gonna be road legal with that FAN in the back!! Cool Toy, but that's it!! RIMAC did something similar wit Tajima Pikes Pike car years ago!
Pastrana's subaru and the Bentley made my day.
Had the pleasure of going to FOS twice and myself the mrs and the kids all want to next time, Best celebration of motorsport, classic two wheeled, electric in the world imo, Amazing coverage as always for those who could not go, Outstanding
@@Goodwoodroadandracing I will many thanks
The drivers in those really old cars are fearless. Fantastic to see!
Amazing that the Calsonic r32 GTR can keep up with all these modern race cars!!
😂 30 year old skyline faster than a brand new rimac 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Slicks vs road tires…
l get it, but, 30 year old track prepped race car as opposed to stock factory production street car that you can use to take the kids (ok maybe kid... Lol) to school. I'd like to see a highly skilled driver do a lap in both cars. That could be really interesting. Goodwood Rules!✌️❤️
@@georgeodajungle7082 u say road car with probably 3x the bhp wide and low to the ground and full of electronics so u don't need to really drive it vs a Japanese tin box with a great engine
@@georgeodajungle7082 I doubt that Rimac is stock
@@deejsilvosa6610 40 year old Subaru beat both
Watching the rally cars was a real treat. Theres something to watching cars with looser suspensions slide around and get next to walls and still put in excellent times that puts a smile on my face.
Travis deserve the win once again!
The commentators doing their very best to get every single bit of terminology wrong was fantastic
I wait for this video every year ❤
I want to see the entire run of each car from start to finish!! The launch of each car and the SOUND of each car accelerating down the first straight is often the best part! Not the commentators pointlessly babbling. No split times? The timing overall sucked. Many of the years past were so much better.
Still in love with that Calsonic R32 GTR
Long live the R32 GT-R!!! 👑
0:01 HAMMOND!!!!!
Travis was sliding those corners and still almost beat the lap time much respect to him and his team that was fast and thar old car with the wings popping in was epic crazy car great work Subaru
40:40: The camera folks could barely keep up with this guy oO
I wish they had a version of this show without talking 😩💯
Insane video like always !! ❤❤
I found the time from the Hyundai at 8:20 surprisingly slow. The way he controlled that pillowy monster was beautiful.
27:48 excuse me? That’s not a Camaro
jake hill getting the old r32 up there with modern stuff has to be the favourite drive for me
but awesome to see mclaren with a v10 out there too in this awful world of killing off ICE engines
shame about the shootout for the past 2 years, the timing only seems to work some of the time with no sector splits, and poor coverage of several runs (i.e runs not being independent, or filming a dakar truck of the rally stage instead) the formatting also seemed very strange, i feel like it should’ve been run in age order since we weren’t able to have qualifying but it seems like the fastest cars were sent out first, then a winner declared far too early leaving everyone quite confused
I wish they just edit this and do another voice over but oldest/slowest cars to newest/fastest cars like the usual format
It was missing a bit of the magic, but some of it is because if the weather. Cant expect the Duke or the organisers to change that. Onto another year of development! The touring car shootout is always a fave
Thanks GRR. 🙂👍 I timed that McMurtry demo at just under 40 seconds. It should have been competing, to compare a modern racing car with some of the petrol-powered racing cars which we still see on tracks.
I'd love to see next year's McMurtry competing. Please!
Yeah I think this shootout was made a bit weird by there not being any qualifying on Saturday…
Either way the Solus GT was immense 👍
LOVE TO SEE THE SF90 XX BRO!!!😂😂❤❤
Datos espectaculares la verdad era una pasada el ingenio y agudeza de aquellos años . Muchos experimentos y picardía con el reglamento al mismo tiempo . Una pasada . Tiempos que por desgracia no volverán . Un abrazo Máster. 👏👏🔥🔥💪💪
Dope every year i look forward to this video
i cant stop watchitng the 1983 subaru Gl family..damn true definition of OLD IS GOLD..i'd choose that over a bugatti anyday anytime wow look at that lap I wish peter drury was the one commentating on it,
Maximum attack from Travis Pastrana, what a driver
That subi was in its own leag. That a Drive. So fun to watch
Only Rory Butcher's Toyota? I saw Ash Sutton's Ford in the background when Travis Pastrana was coming up to the starting line. Why wasn't Ash Sutton running? And where're the other BTCC cars? Plus, does Travis know about the BTCC? And did he know that Ash won the 2017 Championship in a Subaru Levorg GT?
300BO is the best intermediate rifle cartridge available. It’s super quiet and reasonably hard hitting subsonic and WAY more powerful than 5.56 when supersonic. Plus it works out of short barrels better than any other rifle round.
Travis Pastrana's Subaru GL Family Huckster won it for me.
17:16 for some bottle action
😲
Rimac Nevera : *has almost 2000 HP, 412 kph max speed, instant torque and active aero*
Jake Hill in the 30 year-old, ~700 HP and mechanical grip R32 :"How cute"
Attended the FoS just once, way back in 1996.. Really must go again.
Are the timed runs only for cars? Is there a separate competition for bikes?
I don’t think bikes do the shootout
Heck yeah!! Travis gave that McLaren Solus a run for the money 😮 👍👍👍
Not really my bag, but the NASCAR isn't a Camaro. That's an SS livery.
Loved Pastrana.
Rachel Frey in the Iron Dames Porsche was excellent, not out of shape. She ran it super clean.
21:52-22:51 this bentley 3 litre sounds like a cessna or that rumbling spitfire plane 😄
33:12-34:28 i’d love to see rowan atkinson on that whip
That Subaru was off the rails!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
The best perspective of what it is to drive through Eau Rouge
Look at the line and aggression difference between the female and the male porsche drivers. I am *NOT* being sexist, simply making an observation. Its a very stark difference in skill and attack
1:27
6:07
its just a different level of driving
I plan on travelling to Goodwood '24 the first time in my live. Im not sure on whether I should book Friday or Sunday and the informations on whats happening at these days are not clear enough for me
I’ll take the Skyline R32 GTR please. ❤
Congrats for the Solus, its a bit closer to the quickest time by McMurtry Spierling.
And the mandatory that the sound isn't important, perfomance and efficiency is.
The Ferrari Roma is just a California with a Porsche back end
How do I watch WITHOUT commentary, I want to hear these ladies at full song!
We need a no commentary version please! :)
That rimac 😂 goes fast but there was no feeling of fast .. but then McLaren solus Porsche came out with engine sound ❤❤ ahhh I felt the speed... 😊
Just great cars and drivers, sounds and looks !! About drivers; a small splitt screen in a corner to show us how the drivers look like would be incredible nice!!! Maybe one foto when the driver was active and one at now time!? ;) Thank you!!!!
Man I love the mclaren solus it just looks incredible
Great workout to start my day 😊
Not entirely sure why "saturdays cancellation" is a reason for this format? Have all cars wanting to participate, do the shootout as usual, with slower cars first - or just randomise the running order of the cars, so the audience doesn't know what to expect next.
15 minutes in they have awarded someone, despite another 30 minutes of cars running up the hill. Bizarre.
