Nice work. I had a 1971 black short wheelbase G10. After I installed a 69 Chevelle SS 396, Turbo 400 w/ shift kit. I installed a 69 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser roof,78 Z28 fender vents, 15 x 10's w/ N-50 tires on all 4 corners, flares of course . Won alot of races.

I had a 68 Van like those in the 70's when I lived in Euless TX. I put a Corvette 327 in it. Built it to haul my dirt bikes and give me a place to sleep in at the tracks. Was planning on converting it to a serious 4 WD camper. Loved those old vans. Growing family forced me to sell it. But 15 years later my 16 yo son and I built him a 67 Ford Van for his first car.
This one is really special.

Beautiful job with great ideas..I had a 69 about 40 years ago ..orange exterior with a 327 ..I was going to install a T top..but never thought of a cab tilt...pretty amazing you guys! Very well done!

This is not a van, nor an automobile. It's a piece of art. The amount of blood, sweat and tears that must of been put into this never mind the money and endless hours. Your husband is one very talented man who I take my hat off to. Congratulations on such a beautiful work of art that in my opinion is right up there with any Rembrandt's, or Davinchi's or any other famous artist's. Thank you for sharing your show piece. I saw this video a few months back and glad I came across it again. So I could comment on how awesome this Van is I love it. Joyce is a natural when it comes to presenting this Van. She must have done one before but I can tell she really loves it and appreciates her husband's hard work. It's impossible to find a woman like that any more. Marty you are a lucky man. My only dream is to watch a video with Joyce starting up and driving the Van .

I saw this awesome vegan about 4 maybe 5 years ago at a Bedford Texas Car Show.I took a lot of pictures of it. I was looking through the windshield and almost got zonked when it started opening, LOL They also have a build album as I recall.
Dear Marty and Joyce, I was a Pennsbury Teacher from 1970 on too 2003. I have taught several Sooby's and I think one still works part time at my gym. I taught shop class at Pennwood and William Penn. I give you an A+ on your work! I was a Vanner in the 70s and still have my custom Chevy Van with a Vista Cruiser roof.
Richard Butterfoss hi Richard,I Joyce Sooby, maiden name Flor graduate in 1974 and my 2 sister in 69 and 71 Thelma Flor was Home Coming Queen and a cheerleader and I was a cheerleader for Pennsbury too. What a small world. We had the Van Utopia in the 80's and took Best in show everywhere we took it. BAD ass was also built in Levittown. But finished in Tx. And mofo was built in Tx, now known as Blutopia.
Her husband is a clever man and artist, I can believe they have a small apartment in that tiny van what a team husband and wife Awesome job guys.
