Love your reviews! I currently have an xtool 10w. Been thinking about jumping up to a glow forge or the laser box rotary. I’m actually looking for something with a little more features in the basic program (I’m not ready to learn any of the fancier programs). I’m wondering which product has the better project library? Which one would you recommend? I know glowforge has a cost associated with it.
What's the cost of a new lens? And a new tube? How easy to change the tube is it? And that chick-fil-a logo was really smokey. Is the water actually chilled? As if not its just going get warm soon. Nice to see its not locked to the web. 4000 dollars (which I translate to about £2988) For that I got an 80w laser with a 700 x 500mm bed, a real chiller, a powerful compressor for the air assist and had enough left over for lightburn (although I already had that)
I'm not sure of the cost on a replacement lens but I would imagine it's in line with most other suppliers. I didn't do the best job in the video showing what was going on with the CFA logo, the laser didn't have any smoke problems that was actually what the vector file looked like. I was able to get some pretty precise results in gneeral. The water isn't chilled.
SOS! I have been trying to find an answer but can’t figure it out and the company is not replying to me. Is the rotary attachment capable of handling pint glasses/tumblers? It looks like the max diameter for the rotary is too small, but that seems like a major flaw if true. Can you confirm/deny if you don’t mind? I would really appreciate it!
I don't believe there is a rotary currently. The only ones I know of are the Full Spectrum (which you got) and the cheaper ones you can attach to a K40 or OM Tech.
I was wondering the same thing. thanks for your question. I guess I will continue to look at the muse, although I liked that this pro version comes with a fume extractor. muse is an extra $1100. And the riser/rotary combo is $895.
@@cliffart7398 Just a heads up, the muse is getting so many orders right now that it's 4-6 weeks until they can ship out their product. However, the guy I talked to on the phone (Dustin) was great and was very transparent about everything. So I will be excited to test this sucker out when I get it.
Great videos, I’ve been learning a lot from them, I myself am getting the ortur laser master 2 , I was wondering do you need a high performance laptop to get the most out the laser?
@@makeorbreakshop , that’s super cool dude :) , think you for taking the time to reply back , I’ll look around for a laptop thats fits my budget, keep up the good work and have an awesome day
Hi, very nice review. One question, did you receive the laser from China or the US? I'm planning on buying one and this would be one point in considering. If in US, can you provide the necessary info to acquire? Thank you in advance.
Great videos Brandon! I've been watching your videos trying to help me pick between the Makeblock Pro, the Glowforge Pro and the Muse 3D. Which would you choose?? Mainly used for probably 80% cutting, 20% engraving (no rotary needed). Keep up the good work! Thank you. Anthony
Nice review this one looks interesting 🧐. How would you compare this to the glowforge and muse full spectrum ? I’m looking for something that can do it all. I’d have a easier time saying yes but if the more expensive one will save me a headache I can save up to invest in those too. Thanks for the video 🙏🏼
Check out www.makeorbreakshop.com/laser for a full breakdown. I've done a review of the Muse 3D and love it and just got a Glowforge in my shop so will have that review out soon.
@@makeorbreakshop yup I watched that review right after that’s why it’s on the list aha. But I see some people had a hard time with customer service, how was your experience ? And I’m taking glowforge out the list because of it being wifi only. I’m really looking towards muse because the rotary tool but the makebox has a nice feature with the bringing a sketch to life as you explained. Tough decision with the specific niches now lol
Previous reviews of this type product compared to cheaper Chinese products. How does this compare to Muse that you previously reviewed and to Digilab which I do not think you reviewed.
I watch all of your videos and because of you I purchased a muse 3d laser yesterday :) I am wondering if you ever might be doing a laser cutter giveaway. I have a dear friend in Serbia who is a designer and has been so supportive of me the past several months as I've worked to afford the Muse, but sadly, despite him wanting and needing a lasercutter even more so than me, his financial situation in Serbia has been too disastrous for him to get started. If you ever do any kind of design competition ,or anything that involves winning a laser cutter, no matter how cheap, please let me know!! (I know this message may seem kind of crazy, but I'm just trying to leave no stone unturned. He's given me so much encouragement to get started in this field and it kills me to sense him feeling left behind)

$4k plus doesn’t feel like “ a hobby” machine to me. Cool machine, but hardly something you’d pick up for shits and giggles. I think the Beamo at $2k would more hobby friendly.
Impressive video. Have you come across any of these desktop lasers that work with light burn?
That pull out tray totally made me think of a toaster and its little tray for bread crumbs
Another excellent review!
If you had to choose between the muse or xtool what one would you get and why?
Thanks
Brandon, have you done a video on the Aeon laser? If not, do you have any pro/con thoughts on it?

Check out his review of the OMTech Polar. I was leaning toward the 40W, now I'm thinking about the Polar.
What's a good laser for polymer... specifically pistol polymer basically black plastic
does this laser work with lightburn?

Ok, I was worried, cause I just purchased the desktop muse with a rotary. But this doesn’t look like you can add a rotary to it.
I expect you will eventually or there will be an option at some point

@@derekwright2388 I think so to. How long it will take, or if it will be on a completely different model is what we will have to see about.

i'm interested as well - hoping someone answers your question :)
will it do powder coated tumblers?
will it cut 3mm aramid fiber composite paper?
They want you to spend 5000$ after tax and possible add-ons, yet it only comes with a 6 month warranty. A lot of faith in your product.

Muse has more bells and whistles overall, that is still my top pick but this is a good option if you wanted something a little cheaper
Also the Dremel Digilab is a rebranded Muse, Dremel actually partnered with Full Spectrum to white label it.
