The Spurrier and Fulmer years were the peak of the Florida-Tennessee rivalry, and no question this was the best matchup of the Urban Meyer/Philip Fulmer coaching era for both schools, I am glad to see during the last couple of years, the competitiveness has returned to this rivalry. It's not where it was in the late 90s and early 2000s, but it's good to see the competitive intensity return to this rivalry especially since both schools have defended their home field recently: The Gators have won 10 in a row against the Vols in The Swamp and Tennessee has won the last two at Neyland Stadium against The Gators.
