Since Donkey also drank the potion the filmmakers confirmed that the Dragon also ended up changing as well like Fiona did with Shrek proving that she’s Donkey’s true love. I think it was that she was meant to be a Pegasus
Thank God someone has an answer! All these years I assumed donkey was meant to be with a horse and fell in love with a dragon instead. Not very fairytale.

It kills me that Jennifer's cover isn't on Spotify in Australia. I need it on my Movies & TV playlist just like the Bonnie Tyler original is on my Classics playlist.
The thing about the knights chasing a white Bronco is a reference to when the police arrested (the recently late) O.J. Simpson who was accussed for murder.
Shrek 2 is an absolute comedy classic which improved on the original in every single way imaginable! At the end of each show, he would do a PSA to 'spay and neuter your pets.' The chase scene -- It's a double reference. One being a reference to the show "Cops" which is pretty much what you see in this movie, a show about crazy interactions between cops and suspects; and the other reference is a direct recreation of the infamous OJ Simpson chase back in 1994, he was in a white Bronco. Hope that helps! Loved watching along with you two, this is a childhood classic!

Shrek 2 is an AMAZING movie. Everything the first one did, this one does better. It even adds on to this world as a good sequel should. It introduces us to new characters and gives more development to the ones we already grew to love. Even the jokes are funnier. Also, the I Need a Hero sequence still gets me hyped every time I rewatch this film. This is a very great movie, and DreamWorks is REAL good at making sequels better than the original (ex: Shrek 2, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Kung Fu Panda 2, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Puss in Boots 2).
There's a fan theory that the Fairy Godmother was the witch who cursed Fiona in order to set in motion her son marrying her and being King of Far Far Away (a.k.a. Medieval California). To quote Captain Jean-Luc Picard, "Villains who twirl their mustaches are easy to spot; those who clothe themselves in good deeds are well camouflaged."

When they put in the Sir Justin joke, they didn't know at the time that Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake were dating, she announded it to the directors and producers during the production.
