Of all the stuff from the leaks, there's two things I'm happy about. That Skyla is confirmed to be a Latina and the beta designs of Mars, Jupiter, and Cyrus had it be that Team Galactic were originally going to basically be the Space Mafia.
The whole point of the Galarian Birds is that they are fake their original types. Articuno freezes people with telepathic powers, Zapdos makes sounds of electricity with it's musculature, and Moltres looks like it's aflame.
And also they are not the same pokemon or regional form the people in galar name them that way because they look similar. (For the game they are regional form but in the pokemon world they are not)
@@gwenaelmonvoisin8314 Actually, my take is that the Galarian birds are the original forms, and as tales of them were told through word of mouth, things got misinterpreted here and there, and people thought them to be more literal embodiments of ice, electricity, and fire. A bird with a cold demeanor that freezes enemies with a single glare... a bird that makes thunderous sounds as it runs like lightning... a bird with a fiery temperament and a blazing aura that burns away the spirit of those who get too close... not hard to see how that could be misinterpreted. So, I'm thinking people left out food to try and lure in these legendaries, but did so under the impression they were dealing with Ice, Electric, and Fire-types. Using Articuno as an example, maybe they left out a preparation of Iceroot Carrots on a snowy mountain. Galarian Articuno happens to notice this while flying through the area, doesn't know who it could possibly be for, but hey, free food! So it eats it and flees and the humans miss it, but realize it had to be there, so they try again. Articuno returns out of curiosity, sees more free food, eats it when the humans aren't there. The cycle repeats, and over time, Articuno's body acclimates to the frigid climate and the diet of Iceroot Carrots, even toning down the cruelty as it realizes it's thankful for all this free food, and thus, Normal Form Articuno comes to be. To answer the obvious questions: One, both forms of the birds can exist at the same time because we already know from Let's Go that those species are not one-off. And two, there actually is another regional form that is canonically said to be the original form of that species- Galarian Zigzagoon. So no, I'm not just pulling the idea out of my ass.
@@IAmMissingnoMaster I love that idea. I have my idea because in the game when you finish the quest of the bird the guy (I don’t remember his name) say something that resume to “those bird look like the kanto one but are completely different“

Btw, I have no idea what those Typhlosion memes are about. I just know that the bible is at least as wild as Japanese folktales. I mean, Yeshua was traveling all around Israel and picked up a bunch of sinning Hobos along the way. But I guess nobody ever reads that book. I want to read it just for the experience. I probably will not understand most of it, because the writing sounds like all the authors were on drugs, but I really want to see the crazy stuff that is written there. Like the Nordic story with Loki who transformed into a horse and then birthed Sleipnir. North mythology is very fun. Or the story where Mjölnir gets stolen and then Thor crossdresses as Freya, because all of these people want to marry Freya as ransom or payment. Mythology is crazy.
yeah, did kids stop getting into Greek mythology or something? because you learn to accept that weird and gross things happen in the stories sometimes when you're an 8 year old with a book that involves Zeus in literally any way
@@bugbear2357 Ah yes, Zeus and his transformations to go and cheat on his wife. That reminds me, my school-kindergarten-day-clinic thing had this book. It was about very infamous people who killed or tortured someone. Like this one guy who killed his wife and daughter in a fit of rage and even strangled his judge or something. I think Elizabeth Barthory was in that book and this knight guy who murdered babies. I was like 12 when I read that. It was readily available for small children who still went to primary school too. I am still questioning how and why that book that was there!
The Biblical story you’re referring to involves a group of youths (could be children or young men) ridiculing a prophet traveling through by calling, “Go up, you baldhead!” “Go up” could simply mean “go on your way/leave,” but some view it as a euphemism for “die.” So it might be more accurate to picture a gang of teenage boys harassing an old man & chanting “Die, baldy!” Context is important.
People being surprised at the leaks even tho people and Pokémon relations have been implied in the lore since Gen 4 proves people never paid attention to the lore
@michaelcarlton1484 also I think the situations are kinda a little different. Like the Gen 4 one could be argued as like a translation error but the typholosion one is just kinda wild. Not like that story at all.
I think A) way to many people are considering scrapped never released cut content without context as canon but also- I do think people are overreacting. You say it’s ’not just a basic folklore story’ but it really mirrors many stories from japanese culture about yokai the the like. think about greek mythology, a wildly celebrated mythos still used as a storytelling device to this day was filled with nowadays questionable subject matter. I don’t think it’s as weird as it’s made out to be, but more importantly it was never released for a reason and J think people need to understand that
I am only going to say this once: Voltorb is based off a Pokeball, but BOTH electrode AND Voltorb are actually confirmed by the series creator to be based off the various sets of facial emojis.
9:35 actually yeah. That's rather tame for a lot of folktales, especially japanese folktales. Infact japanese people found bout the reactions in the west and said that the overblown reactions is racist because of how tame they are compared to actual japanese folklore
I love the last couple minutes. I've been trying different things to record and post, but watching you and PM7 has made me want to play Pokemon again, a series I've loved since I was 10. So that's what I'm gonna do now. Thank you for all that you do, and not even knowing how much you help others.
I will never hate typhlosion for of that stupid story that wasn’t even officially published, the typhlosion line will forever be a my favorite and no one will ever change my mind
@sai_ai__8446 correct, the word used meant "girl" but in the same way we may refer to a young adult woman as "girl". It's basically the same type of thing as Beauty and The Beast
13:10 i think it’s Aggron people are saying Kleavor which makes sense but it’s looks like a tinkaton from ancient times so that explains the wood handle, It could also be Aron or Lairon for its prevos
6:40 Actually, something DOES fit. Fairy. Psychic and Fairy are portrayed as opposites to the dark type. Luxray's gimmick is light, it's name literally means "Light light", and both those types are associated with light. Most of the most-common fairy type moves are also light based, being Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast. Even its designated field effect (Misty Terrain) uses light and wind for its concept. Also the issue of "it doesnt have fairy moves" is easily disputed by something like Wigglytuff, which stayed Normal, gained Fairy typing, and then also gained fairy type moves.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the stories from the leak were NOT an attempt at actual lore. They were almost certainly WORLDBUILDING EXERCISES!!! They were likely used to get some initial ideas down that were never intended to be canon. Then, the writers would already be in a creative mindset to work on the actual lore.
11:52 Digtrio ain't a worm, it's three moles based on the game Whac-a-mole. A game where you need QUICK reflexes to hit these SPEEDY moles as FAST as possible.
Since many Pokedex entries are based on instances of real life mythology, it's not a stretch to assume that the Pokedex entries themselves could *also* just be in-universe folklore that didn't really happen. Don't get me wrong, there's evidence to support the validity of *some* of them, but others are so absurd that I don't think the Pokedex is a 100% reliable source of information, especially given the fact that the Paradox Pokemon entries site a literal scam magazine.
17:39 I agree. I also have severe anxiety and OCD, in fact I have so many disorders that it's easier to list what I don't have, but whenever Mikey releases a vid it always helps distract me, even if only for twenty minutes
@chrisd1982 Well, yeah, that's well known. I'm just using the Fan Club President as the example since it's from the very first game and that line goes practically unchanged in nearly all games with him in it. There's plenty of other examples such as the Pokémon Adventures manga having a panel of a newspaper where it says "That's the last time I take a bath with my Tentacool." only for her to make an actual appearance several chapters later where she is still bathing with it. There's also the woman in Agate Village in Colosseum who claims a Mightyena is her boyfriend. There's also a real website sponsored by a real-world gym that has a bunch of women sharing their fantasies about Machop, Machoke, and Machamp. There's TONS of this stuff.
13:07 the design is tinkatons original hammer but rusty and in an axe shape the reason its familiar is because it shares that golden crest thing with original tinkaton
2:35 That conversation is indeed from the game, and it is found during Naranja/Uva Academy art classes with Hassel. Don't blame you if you didn't even know you could take classes.
9:36 Litterally a basic folktale yeah. I think America and its puritan heritage must have culturally forgot how violent folktales and children's fairytales are in general. Well, let's count Dinsey too.
yeah so many childrens stories are much more disturbing than we realize like Red Riding Hood literally gets eaten by a wolf and then a hunter cuts open the wolf's stomach to get her out, we don't think about it when we're little but as we grow up we realize how messed up alot of them are (other examples like: Hensel & Gretel or The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats)
Yeah. So this. Fairy tales and folk tales are fucked up stories. Why would people be outraged that the pokémon world would have fucked up folk tales. We have literal pokédex entries about pokémon kidnapping children and who knows what but an obviously not true wife's tale is suddenly too much?
yeah, this leak will follow Typhlosion forever, just like how Ankha gets followed by that Zone dance. (and if you want more comparisons, Shaggy with the ultra instinct memes, Morbius with Morbin time, Among us with sus, Skinner with Steamed Hams....)
My thing about the stories is, as stated in the video, it's inspired by Japanese folklore, which as seen, can be very messed up. What I will say about that is, many Pokemon are based on Yokai, so writing stories based on them makes sense. Pokemon fans just need to understand two things: 1. Folklore is fantastical. A story about an animal, or Pokemon in this case, is not a real story about real events. It's a story based around the fears and imagination of ancient people. 2. These were not canonized. They were written, and then locked away, never to be seen again besides by the folks at Gamefreak. They're basically Doujins.
I think everyone knows this. I think they just are making a joke. I don't think it's that big of a deal. No one is going to judge if your favorite pokemom is on the list.

It's also a folk tale. This whole outrage is such a typically american puritan thing. Grimm's fairy tales were constantly fucked up nonsense, it's just americans can't take it for some reason. Americans whine about pokémon pandering to kids, but if there's any element of folklore (so obviously not real) that is adult, they immediately melt down.

To answer the obvious questions: One, both forms of the birds can exist at the same time because we already know from Let's Go that those species are not one-off.
The Biblical story you’re referring to involves a group of youths (could be children or young men) ridiculing a prophet traveling through by calling, “Go up, you baldhead!” “Go up” could simply mean “go on your way/leave,” but some view it as a euphemism for “die.”
So it might be more accurate to picture a gang of teenage boys harassing an old man & chanting “Die, baldy!” Context is important.
Not Zeus doing everything and everyone in existence 😭
Mikey being the most disconnected from his subreddit: The Episode😂
“Some kind of leak” dangit Micheal
I love when Mikey becomes a philosopher form a few minutes😂
"It depends on the game, I made a whole video"
And Vaporeon was most recurrent best choice in that video 😂
Patterrz always reacting to you guys led me down the rabbit hole and now I'm subscribed to like all of your channels.
Thank you, Pat!
People being surprised at the leaks even tho people and Pokémon relations have been implied in the lore since Gen 4 proves people never paid attention to the lore
I'd argue Pokémon/Human relationships have been a thing from the start given that the Kanto Fan Club President calls his Rapidash, "ravishing".
@michaelcarlton1484 also I think the situations are kinda a little different. Like the Gen 4 one could be argued as like a translation error but the typholosion one is just kinda wild. Not like that story at all.
@@malik.a4125 Pretty sure the story leaks were mistranslated.
With every video we can see how much happier/proud mike gets when the slideshow comes (in this video even more clearly)
10:19 Yes the cycling road is a bridge, however as seen in the anime and official cannon it has a section that raises up for boats to pass through.
Ah, it's a swing bridge! (yeah there's a name for that type of bridge)
Or a similar type of bridge anyway
I think A) way to many people are considering scrapped never released cut content without context as canon
but also- I do think people are overreacting. You say it’s ’not just a basic folklore story’ but it really mirrors many stories from japanese culture about yokai the the like. think about greek mythology, a wildly celebrated mythos still used as a storytelling device to this day was filled with nowadays questionable subject matter. I don’t think it’s as weird as it’s made out to be, but more importantly it was never released for a reason and J think people need to understand that
I am only going to say this once:
Voltorb is based off a Pokeball, but BOTH electrode AND Voltorb are actually confirmed by the series creator to be based off the various sets of facial emojis.
9:35 actually yeah. That's rather tame for a lot of folktales, especially japanese folktales. Infact japanese people found bout the reactions in the west and said that the overblown reactions is racist because of how tame they are compared to actual japanese folklore
7:22 - wow! Mickey has really grown up. In the past, he would have screamed how stupid something was. Good for him!
9:44 - there it is
Dude got flashbacks to Whitney’s Mtank
I love the last couple minutes. I've been trying different things to record and post, but watching you and PM7 has made me want to play Pokemon again, a series I've loved since I was 10. So that's what I'm gonna do now. Thank you for all that you do, and not even knowing how much you help others.
I will never hate typhlosion for of that stupid story that wasn’t even officially published, the typhlosion line will forever be a my favorite and no one will ever change my mind
"It depends on the game, I made a whole video" And in that video, Vaporeon was consistently the greatest option.
Everyone's freaking out about these stories, meanwhile we have a canonical human x pokemon relationship in PLA and no one cared.
You mean the frosslass?
Not with minors though
@@mebreevee yes.
@@milituga628 from what i heard, the typhlosion one was terribly machine translated and never said anything about minors.
@sai_ai__8446 correct, the word used meant "girl" but in the same way we may refer to a young adult woman as "girl". It's basically the same type of thing as Beauty and The Beast
8:05 Headbutt!
Haha nice
7:35
Okay by this point I've seen like 3 serious speeches in a video where you're supposed to laugh... And I like it.
He becomes the leader of an evil team
2:30 Professor Gible appears in Art Class alongside Hassel. This is probably a reminder to go back to school lol
I forgot to say this when you introduced it, but the new intro song/background clips are amazing! Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY
1:46 Here, this text is the way it is because it is in an aesthetic that is called “skeuomorphism”
WHAT WAS THAT INTRO? MICHAEL?!
It's like a "leak." Like the data leak!
Well, this is no longer a kids show
@@BeholderBrawlStars:O
Might’ve been a joke about the gigantic leak
Shut up the intro is good and he had in for the previous meme reviews
13:14 I think that’s a Haxorus axe
Just started and it's already comedy gold. Mikey getting more and more tilted as this goes on is hilarious
Psychic makes more sense
or game freak could just change the dark type to also encompass literal darkness/creatures who primarily live in dark areas
"i was gonna write something on this notepad"
great conversation starter
11:52 Digtrio ain't a worm, it's three moles based on the game Whac-a-mole.
A game where you need QUICK reflexes to hit these SPEEDY moles as FAST as possible.
2:40 hassel will introduce you to a tera grass gible in his art class. (and yes i think he also cries in that class)
I think it's tera ice, actually.
He cries 2/3 classes later, not immediately
Gible has more then one tera form in those lessons
AMAZING intro as always, Michael!
9:32 to be fair Zeus did that all the time (doesn’t mean it was even remotely ok)
Yeah, most of Greek mythology is at least partly because "Unfortunately Zeus was horny"
7:14 bro went full on existential crisis mode lol
2:40
It's in one of the art classes at the school. that's where the dialogue comes from for anyone wondering
Okay, I just have to say it. The "zen mode, chill out" stuff were hilarious I don't know why.
I'd argue Pokémon/Human relationships have been a thing from the start given that the Kanto Fan Club President calls his Rapidash, "ravishing".
There's also books in canalave library I believe that talk about human and Pokémon marriages
I get it, a leek! Like the one Farfetch'd holds... right?... couldn't be anything else, right?
not the hyperlinks
Typhlosion in meme form? This is the perfect blend of roasting marshmallows and roasting memes. 🔥 Let’s see who gets burned the hardest!
13:07 the design is tinkatons original hammer but rusty and in an axe shape the reason its familiar is because it shares that golden crest thing with original tinkaton
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be tyrunt/tyrantrum?
Like, the axe kinda has a similar design
Kleavor
I thought it was the type null axe
Savalli
Someone actually dropped out of my children’s literature class during our fairy tale unit because she thought the reading material was too disturbing.
Yeah. So this. Fairy tales and folk tales are fucked up stories. Why would people be outraged that the pokémon world would have fucked up folk tales. We have literal pokédex entries about pokémon kidnapping children and who knows what but an obviously not true wife's tale is suddenly too much?
@@Undydamon fun fact the wolf was originally a euphemism for a pedophile
Mikey has clearly never read most folktales because they get way more insane than any of those stories in the leaks.
10:19 Although the bicycle path is a bridge, it also contains a part that rises to allow boats to pass over, as shown in the anime and official canon.
Seeing new Pokemon Meme Review: YES! YES! YES!
Seeing the title: NO! NO! NO!
yeah, this leak will follow Typhlosion forever, just like how Ankha gets followed by that Zone dance. (and if you want more comparisons, Shaggy with the ultra instinct memes, Morbius with Morbin time, Among us with sus, Skinner with Steamed Hams....)
You've got everything figured out. You allowed your heart to let you know all the answers to your questions.
7:14 I see the therapy from the metronome series is working.
New pokemon meme review released on my birthday. Best gift ever.
My thing about the stories is, as stated in the video, it's inspired by Japanese folklore, which as seen, can be very messed up. What I will say about that is, many Pokemon are based on Yokai, so writing stories based on them makes sense. Pokemon fans just need to understand two things:
@@malik.a4125 Poe's Law makes things like that difficult to be sure of. More than anything it just became exhausting to see. Glad it's already being phased out of the discussion space though.
I question why they weren't just deleted outright. There's no reason to keep files with no potential net benefit on your storage.
@@TotallyCluelessGamer Probably some joke between employees, or not wanting to delete the stories people wrote. I'm fine with them keeping their work around, it sucks to just delete that kind of stuff with no back ups, so it's just gone forever when it's deleted.
According to Blue, Dugtrio can move at the speed of light
The genius of this man to put meme review on this channel is off the charts. This way he puts way more attention on this channel after already creating a foundation for the main one.
10:06 Cycling Road is a bridge in RBY, FRLG, & the Johto games, *but* it’s relatively low to the water and there’s no drawbridge portion to allow a boat to pass through
Also, the Yiga guy talking about object mons was spitting facts
12:44 Just realized I’m 6 days older than Mikey. Happy early birthday from a fellow Thanksgiving baby!
2:46 Okay I know the Typhlosion one but what the *FUCK* did a Lapras do?!!
We all want to know the *lore* .
It did something with a guy
Similar to Octillary
Lets just sayyyyy that someone found a hole and that’s all she wrote
THAT POST ABOUT THE ANXIETY AND OCD STUFF
LITERALLY SAME
your content is literally. like peak comfort content for me

Mickey: EXTREMELY SPECIFIC
Never in my entire life did I expect to see Mikey getting pissed about being offered advice on how to beat Whitney
Goes to show how much he hates miltank
plus 2 of them are starters and one of them is a trade in the same town
Omg the intro was so good
Props to you Mikey
👏👏👏👏👏
You should be ashamed of that pun. Or proud. Honestly could go either way.
Poor Typhlosion. And Slaking for that matter. 2:51 Wait what was wrong with Lapras??? I didn’t hear that part of the leaks! I’m less surprised by Octillery. I can imagine the things they wrote.
The way Mikey got upset about the Whitney isn't hard to beat meme was too funny 😂😂😂
7:52 yeah that’s the Internet
7:15 this bit could've been the perfect moment to pull a "why don't you all just BEHAVE YOURSELVES"
Remember kids, if a non-canon and unreleased story has inappropriate themes, it’s still non-canon and wasn’t meant to be seen by us.
And even if it was canon, that was only one Typhlosion or whatever who did it, and so it shouldn’t effect your enjoyment of an entire species.
I'm so confused, what happened with that starter in this leak?
Dont mess with pokemon fans, they cant read
It's also a folk tale. This whole outrage is such a typically american puritan thing. Grimm's fairy tales were constantly fucked up nonsense, it's just americans can't take it for some reason. Americans whine about pokémon pandering to kids, but if there's any element of folklore (so obviously not real) that is adult, they immediately melt down.
2:34 yes that was in the game, it was in some of the Art classes
15:45 that just sounds like free engagement on the video
My birthday is also on thanksgiving, I’m glad that be growing with you Mikey, keep up with the content, hope you win this years JM cup
If a Team Sky playthrough of Sword or Shield comes to be, revival of the giant Galarian Slowbro would be hilarious to have put in.
"Extremely specific ways to defeat her" *shows the ingame trade in the city in which the gym is*
