I've already thought about a version for splatoon 4. Basically after the events of splatoon 3 peace is truly made between inklings and octarians. Some years later other species evolve to have their own humanoid forms to join in on the fun. However space becomes an issue so everyone bands together and builds a floating city on the ocean called splatlantis. There would also be other species introduced as well that have their own sentient forms you can see in the hub world. Including sharks, eels, anglers, starfish, barracudas, pufferfish, and sea turtles.
What is in the story mode? The final boss is the professor that made Judd and he doesn’t like the sea creatures, so your playable character has to fight against the professor in a giant human Robot and then, after the professor realizes that the sea creatures are on the good side, and they become friends, and you get to play as a human in Splatoon.

They are the new squidbeak splatoon but instead of fighting they focus their time on archeology. Recently dangerous earthquakes and tsunamis have been a major threat and eye of the storm discovers the origins of these disasters are coming from an uncharted series of islands. They invite you along and you all go to the islands but your ship ship wrecks and you have to find everyone as you all got separated. Eventually you discover that beneath the islands is a large temple and sleeping in the temple is cthulhu. My take on cthulhu is he is one of the gods of freshness, specifically he represents anger. He's been sleeping for thousands of years and if he were to ever wake up he would forcefully plunge the world into freshness. Presumably destroying the world.
IF we get Splatoon 4, here's what I wanted in 3 (if the DLC will have them). * Customisation includes body types. You can make your Inkling/Octoling be either tall, short, fat. It's pretty dull with everyone looking the same but with different colours. * The possibility that marine mammals survived the rocket. In a way, Mr. Grizz' dream of mammals walking the world came true without him knowing. * In the Story Mode, you can switch between weapons instead of using one singular weapon between stages. Offer more diversity and maybe solve puzzles.
i enjoy your ideas! splatoon 4 probably will depend on the results of the last splatfest (just like how it was with chaos vs order). though imagine if splatoon 4 was the "order" side of the splatfest, as if that team won. it'd be interesting to say the least.

I'm already at work on Splatoon 4. It's menu world I decided should be Calamari County, a world mentioned, but never shown. And the main antagonist is SUCH A DEMON!
Imagine the octolings and inklings have developed thicker skin due to constant exposure to the beach, or water in general. Allowing swimming as a new feature.
Honestly a completely new story would be so refreshing. We've had the same environment, characters and storyline for such a long time, You just kinda know what to expect. So if they made a completely NEW storyline and setting then I would be so happy.
Splatoon five idea I guess 🫥 Story 🔴: The inklings and octolings have found a way to the rest of the world! Landing in a massive rainforest, the inklings and octolings encounter cuttlings. Aka, cuttlefish-lings. The cuttlings are very competitive creatures, and they don’t like the idea of sharing their homeland. Then you come in 5 years later, to find out the truth about the events that happened that day. Customization 🔵 : The cuttilings have barber shops that give them an extreme amount of hairstyles to choose from- for free. They have clothing stores that allow you to buy non-available clothing for a higher price, and of course, the clothing that is already available. Cuttilings have rainforest houses, and some are mansions. They also have custom eye shapes (like the ones you see in Anarchy splat cast, the squid sisters, and off the hook) that have lots of colors. Villians 🟢 : Monkeys rule the canopy, and they got serious beef with the cuttilings. They wreck splatfests, cause havoc, and they annoy the cuttilings with the sharks. The sharks, who have more history with the cuttilings, are most commonly found around the sea. Sometimes, they send in sharks to beat at the cuttilings. Cuttilings perks 🔲 : •can swim in saltwater (SALTWATER) •higher speed •longer sight range Cuttilings disadvantages 🔳 : •cannot swim in waters that are not saltwater (rain, sink water, drinking water…) •aggressive •not usually friendly Idols 🟡 : Kagama Ishihama Ukere Yoimae Story mode 🟠 : Proxy |, is a calm agent that combats sharks and the inner ring. They work alongside Promina |||, who acts as player two. They wear special suites that allow them to travel anywhere, and their weapons adapt to their environment. There are a total of ||| chapters, and they all include monkeys and sharks. Gameplay features ⚫ : -all open gameplay -multiple paths to walk -better graphics Battles ⚪ : Battles have all-new 3D maps (examples include tree canola, massivas, and the Jacalaras) with areas to explore and get lost in. There are 50 new weapons and so much more things to have fun with! It’s still a crap idea I guess :|

6:16 That isn’t the only problem. Let’s take your example with the cliff and caves. For any snipers the cliffs would become insanely good, but the caves bad. This works with other weapons too, and would absolutely shred the meta. Also some sides might be more difficult to traverse making it still very unfair.
Things I'm hoping for for Splatoon 4: -Continued decoupling of gear from abilities, giving more aesthetic customization (by e.g. allowing glasses to be worn with hats). S3 allows us to change main abilities, now let's go one step further and have the clothing be purely aesthetic and just having three main ability slots and nine sub ability slots. -A new structure for story mode - Yes, I love the structure we currently have (however much I wish there was still that little exploration objective within at least some of the levels rather than all the collectables being in the hub world). But we've had two campaigns with it, if we don't see a new structure for the S3 DLC I want to see a new structure for S4 in the same way that Octo introduced a new structure. -A new mode that uses the main mechanics. Not as in 'a new ranked mode' or 'a new way of playing Salmon' but a full on new mode akin to what Salmon Run was for 2. Even if I decide that mode isn't for me I want something that uses the primary mechanics of the game. Things I want from a Splatoon spinoff: Either: -A single player focused tactical shooter along the lines of X-Com, likely set during the Great Turf War -A single player survival shooter where we ink erodes from the outside in when we don't maintain it unless we build little bubbles to keep a base area safe, a crafting system for clothes and a much harder difficulty at night than during the day if we aren't within one of those domes (likely also more opportunities at night than during the day)
When you started talking about the lights in the village at night you gave me the idea that this place could be like pandora (based on the movie Avatar) the sharks could have glowing scales heck the inklings and octolings could have glowing tentacles like during splatfests or when the have specials. There could be glowing plants that were used to build houses.

what im hoping for is a splatoon themed online socializing game, along the lines of vrchat or recroom. nintendo cant just hand us these super expressive and customizable characters and this entire world filled with story, and not expect us to wanna have the ability to see what its like to actually, for real, live in this world.
I love the idea of the tropical vibe of It, but although we don’t know what it will be, we will have to keep in mind what the final-fest would be maybe something like past vs present vs future but I do still think that a tropical vide would be a nice and refreshing vibe for a new Splatoon game
If Splatoon 4 does come to fruition I imagine it wouldn’t realease until Nintendo already has their next console out. Therefore I think we still have a while maybe another 4-5 years?
I didn't know this appeared until then but We can't tell because Nintendo is constantly working on the 3rd Splatoon Game so they would probably do another 4th Splatoon after the Splatoon 3. But it could take a few or more years to have it done whether 2025 or 2028 since they might have other unfinished or other concepts or whatever they have.
TIME ZONES!! like animal crossing changes its weather and light and sun postion, why cant they do something like that? every map update the sun changes or its raining or thunderstorming and weather affects diffrent wepons (its gives advantages and dissadvantages so you might have to change your wepoond for the weather)
An idea I got is like what if it's like a medieval storyline. The weapons are various types of stringers and splatana-esc swords or there's even like specific classes that give you certain weapons and abilities. Story mode we have to face a dark lord and the bosses are like hechmen while standard enemies are followers or monsters, and the levels or areas are open world, like how the level hubs for Alterna were in a way. There could still be a turf war mode and there could even be like arena modes (capture the flag, duels, freeze tag, etc) or a mode where you have to complete a certain task or challenge like how a bounty hunter would. One thing I'm also wanting to see in character customization is you can change the hair more freely (instead of a set hairstyle you can change the fringe/bangs as well as like how long or short your hair is and what style it's in, and it's not locked to if you can only use it with either an inkling or an octoling).
@Ayhm Karajeh Like you have either 10 clams, a rainmaker, or a zapfish in each team's side with a collection area it has to get to. You have to ink past the middle and collect the item and get back to your base with it in order for it to be claimed. You also have to defend whatever items from the opposing team too. If it's left untouched for 15-30 seconds it gets reset. All 10 clams or the main item getting to the collection area results in a knockout. If the item doesn't get collected by either team within 5 minutes, it goes into overtime until a team is able to get their target on their side of the map. If clams are used its just whoever collected the most clams wins
@Ayhm Karajeh I don't play Drift Max Pro and really any game can have capture the flag and it doesn't have to be just that one game that has that mode. I've also been discussing other potential modes with other Splatoon players and someone also brought up battle royale, which would be a good one for splatoon players who love pvp

If they did they island theme, they could do a Salmon Run type thing where you get paid to shoot stuff except it could be Algae based. There are algae blooms that need to be controlled in real life or they kind of choke the wildlife. So you could be controlling the algae in the water and getting paid for how many blooms you pop or something.

I think that it would be really cool if they gave us something like a submarine. You cold have to infiltrate a whole submarine or pirate ship as it fills with water. I think that would be a really cool level design. I also think that we should get the ability to have your weapon in your back so you can show off your weapon choice easier.
i think we should play as giant inklings and octolings in the deep sea underground and fight off the rest of the sanitized octolings, then maybe Tar Tar can return and is now controling a giant octoling and the great zapfish is replaced by multiple larger zapfishes which would be really cool and then we could have GIANT caves we could explore and loot and make more of a focus to offline BUT have more splatfests and have even more kinds of salmonids and we could invade salmonid cities with special suits and then we could have the great ZapSquid with the larger zapfish and the great zapsquid could be a colossall squid that has been immortalized by tar tar and broke free of his control and now the last of his kind
I know that Splatoon 3 is the last of the main games (said in the Splatoon Direct from last year before the game released) but hopefully we will still get more games from the franchise even if they don’t continue the main story that’s carried out through the 3 games we have now.
It would be so cool if we got islands and blue sea in Splatoon 4. Finally away from the citys we've been in for 3 games. Include sharks, pirates, new playable species and submarine adventures. The possibilities are endless.
If you search up "splatoon" on you will se a paint splash on the right of the screen. If you tap on the paint splash, you will be able to shoot ink all over the screen by just tapping anywhere.
For some reason, idk why but in splatoon 4 i want to see them bring back ancient sports like hockey and baseball, that you can play, they have hockey + baseball jerseys in game so they definitely exist, i just want to be able to compete in them as an inkling/octoling/new species if we get one
I think it would be cool if the player was originally from inkopolis but left on a journey and arrives at the island unconscious on a raft without anything except clothes and an ink tank
Not sure about everyone else here but I would love to see something like an agent or two (38 is still canon) settling down in the suburbs, having kids, those kids gunning for school champion title... But tropical Islands are cool too. The floating shops and nighttime lighting ideas are great. Wouldn't mind if it was one or the other.

I cant belive one day they'll release splatoon 4 and i didnt played a single one of them, the first cause i didnt had a wii or wii u idk, then with the two i didnt had a switch and now that ive got it i dont want to buy it cause 60 bucks is a bit too much and i dont have a job so i wanna save some money for other stuff
i want to see a barren land feel, with steam-punk and enemies that are large sandworms for the story mode. maps would be more open and everything would have a steampunk vibe.
Honestly, if Nintendo was smart they would make a Splatoon adventure game next with some co-op and have it overlap with 3. That way they would have new AND old players playing both games (which would honestly make it more likely for people to be willing to pay for DLC and bonus content for BOTH games, since one wouldn't be replacing the other and they'd essentially be advertising each other). They also wouldn't feel like they're trying to reinvent the wheel with a 4th version of a game with almost identical gameplay (although that is totally Nintendo's niche). Instead, they could explore completely new concepts in 4 and use 3 refine current and older ideas.
Hb everymonth during the splatfest (I havnt watched the entire video when i wrote this so idk if splatfests are staying but if they are) a special gamemode called team battle royale is availible, there are to modes for it, begginer and expert, expert is a 4v4v4v4 so more teams to fight and less members, begginer is a 8v8 so more teammates and an equal amount of enemies, each mode has a safe zone so that when your in it you can actually talk and plan out a strategy, once you leave that ability is taken away but you can still see the messages, its also a bit like bedwars, but, with spawnzones, if your spawnzone is destroyed you cant respawn but you are given special harnesses that wrap around the little woomy spirit thing and takes it to the spawn zone on top of the volcano where the bleachers are if you get splatted. Once all spawnzones are destroyed random specials are spawned around the map, you can change your weapon if you go to spawn, and its an endless battle, well endless until al teams are splatted, but during the mode if your in the safezone for more than 5 minutes you automaticly get kicked out, a timer shows up once you enter, and you can go in and out a bunch to live, once you leave you have a 10 minute timer before you can enter again. and you have access to the whole island except te volcano, the landmark of the island.

I love the idea of the tropical vibe of It, but although we don’t know what it will be, we will have to keep in mind what the final-fest would be maybe something like past vs present vs future but I do still think that a tropical vide would be a nice and refreshing vibe for a new Splatoon game

If Splatoon 4 does come to fruition I imagine it wouldn’t realease until Nintendo already has their next console out. Therefore I think we still have a while maybe another 4-5 years?

We can't tell because Nintendo is constantly working on the 3rd Splatoon Game so they would probably do another 4th Splatoon after the Splatoon 3. But it could take a few or more years to have it done whether 2025 or 2028 since they might have other unfinished or other concepts or whatever they have.

TIME ZONES!! like animal crossing changes its weather and light and sun postion, why cant they do something like that? every map update the sun changes or its raining or thunderstorming and weather affects diffrent wepons (its gives advantages and dissadvantages so you might have to change your wepoond for the weather)
An idea I got is like what if it's like a medieval storyline. The weapons are various types of stringers and splatana-esc swords or there's even like specific classes that give you certain weapons and abilities. Story mode we have to face a dark lord and the bosses are like hechmen while standard enemies are followers or monsters, and the levels or areas are open world, like how the level hubs for Alterna were in a way. There could still be a turf war mode and there could even be like arena modes (capture the flag, duels, freeze tag, etc) or a mode where you have to complete a certain task or challenge like how a bounty hunter would. One thing I'm also wanting to see in character customization is you can change the hair more freely (instead of a set hairstyle you can change the fringe/bangs as well as like how long or short your hair is and what style it's in, and it's not locked to if you can only use it with either an inkling or an octoling).

@Ayhm Karajeh Like you have either 10 clams, a rainmaker, or a zapfish in each team's side with a collection area it has to get to. You have to ink past the middle and collect the item and get back to your base with it in order for it to be claimed. You also have to defend whatever items from the opposing team too. If it's left untouched for 15-30 seconds it gets reset. All 10 clams or the main item getting to the collection area results in a knockout. If the item doesn't get collected by either team within 5 minutes, it goes into overtime until a team is able to get their target on their side of the map. If clams are used its just whoever collected the most clams wins

@Ayhm Karajeh I don't play Drift Max Pro and really any game can have capture the flag and it doesn't have to be just that one game that has that mode. I've also been discussing other potential modes with other Splatoon players and someone also brought up battle royale, which would be a good one for splatoon players who love pvp

If they did they island theme, they could do a Salmon Run type thing where you get paid to shoot stuff except it could be Algae based. There are algae blooms that need to be controlled in real life or they kind of choke the wildlife. So you could be controlling the algae in the water and getting paid for how many blooms you pop or something.

I think that it would be really cool if they gave us something like a submarine. You cold have to infiltrate a whole submarine or pirate ship as it fills with water. I think that would be a really cool level design. I also think that we should get the ability to have your weapon in your back so you can show off your weapon choice easier.
i think we should play as giant inklings and octolings in the deep sea underground and fight off the rest of the sanitized octolings, then maybe Tar Tar can return and is now controling a giant octoling and the great zapfish is replaced by multiple larger zapfishes which would be really cool and then we could have GIANT caves we could explore and loot and make more of a focus to offline BUT have more splatfests and have even more kinds of salmonids and we could invade salmonid cities with special suits and then we could have the great ZapSquid with the larger zapfish and the great zapsquid could be a colossall squid that has been immortalized by tar tar and broke free of his control and now the last of his kind

Fans: Hello everyone, this is a review of the upcoming Splatoon 4!
I know that Splatoon 3 is the last of the main games (said in the Splatoon Direct from last year before the game released) but hopefully we will still get more games from the franchise even if they don’t continue the main story that’s carried out through the 3 games we have now.
It would be so cool if we got islands and blue sea in Splatoon 4. Finally away from the citys we've been in for 3 games. Include sharks, pirates, new playable species and submarine adventures. The possibilities are endless.
If you search up "splatoon" on you will se a paint splash on the right of the screen. If you tap on the paint splash, you will be able to shoot ink all over the screen by just tapping anywhere.
For some reason, idk why but in splatoon 4 i want to see them bring back ancient sports like hockey and baseball, that you can play, they have hockey + baseball jerseys in game so they definitely exist, i just want to be able to compete in them as an inkling/octoling/new species if we get one
imagine we get like a splatoon where we live in the mountains and we could mountain climb and stuff, that would be so cool
I think it would be cool if the player was originally from inkopolis but left on a journey and arrives at the island unconscious on a raft without anything except clothes and an ink tank

But tropical Islands are cool too. The floating shops and nighttime lighting ideas are great. Wouldn't mind if it was one or the other.

Honestly, if Nintendo was smart they would make a Splatoon adventure game next with some co-op and have it overlap with 3. That way they would have new AND old players playing both games (which would honestly make it more likely for people to be willing to pay for DLC and bonus content for BOTH games, since one wouldn't be replacing the other and they'd essentially be advertising each other). They also wouldn't feel like they're trying to reinvent the wheel with a 4th version of a game with almost identical gameplay (although that is totally Nintendo's niche). Instead, they could explore completely new concepts in 4 and use 3 refine current and older ideas.

Another Splatoon 1 veteran here, I love the sequels (splat 1 will always be special). This would be super cool though
Hb everymonth during the splatfest (I havnt watched the entire video when i wrote this so idk if splatfests are staying but if they are) a special gamemode called team battle royale is availible, there are to modes for it, begginer and expert, expert is a 4v4v4v4 so more teams to fight and less members, begginer is a 8v8 so more teammates and an equal amount of enemies, each mode has a safe zone so that when your in it you can actually talk and plan out a strategy, once you leave that ability is taken away but you can still see the messages, its also a bit like bedwars, but, with spawnzones, if your spawnzone is destroyed you cant respawn but you are given special harnesses that wrap around the little woomy spirit thing and takes it to the spawn zone on top of the volcano where the bleachers are if you get splatted. Once all spawnzones are destroyed random specials are spawned around the map, you can change your weapon if you go to spawn, and its an endless battle, well endless until al teams are splatted, but during the mode if your in the safezone for more than 5 minutes you automaticly get kicked out, a timer shows up once you enter, and you can go in and out a bunch to live, once you leave you have a 10 minute timer before you can enter again. and you have access to the whole island except te volcano, the landmark of the island.
