Honestly, I think they both did brilliantly in their own genres. Their styles and voices are completely different and there is no point in creating some competition between the two. Especially that they're both influenced by each other, or at least, they respect each other (see the pictures of them together at the 2011 Grammy Awards and at the 2014 MET Ball).

A lot of hate on here because Janelle isn't half naked. Lol, one guy even said that ladies shouldn't be ashamed of their bodies. Obviously Janelle isn't. She's confident enough with it to wear suits and tuxedos. Why does she half to be half naked to "not feel ashamed" of her body? One of the things I love about Janelle is that she exudes so much self-respect and confidence. she could wear a loose-fitting suit and great coat and still be highly attractive. She has physical beauty and transcends it.

I'm usually not a fan of live performances since they usually do a subpar version of whatever song they sing, but Janelle literally said "let me not only sing perfectly, let me do it for ELEVEN MINUTES" Props to the band and dancers as well, the conductor (Nate Wonder I think???
