Clara knew where they were going to be based on the map that she found in Doc's blacksmith shop. He indicated in the model the area in which they were going to be working. That's how in the hell Clara knew where to go.
The fact that it took almost 5 years to complete the EWW BTTF trilogy and that it took a global pandemic to slow the release of new content to sin is in indeed a sin.
4:37 He can't send Marty back the same day or two weeks earlier because then the letter wouldn't get written and they wouldn't find the DeLorean and the grave.
11:53 no a train wouldn't have come through there. Because the ending of that track was at an unfinished bridge. No train would have a reason to go down that track.
I love how that train didn't stop after plowing a DeLorean. Truly the conductor must have known he was in a movie and that it was okay to break protocol!

While you made a lot of good points, why would you sin Clara knowing where to find Doc Brown? After she went back to town she went to his shop looking for him, saw the model and realized where they were going and why. And of course she's good on a horse. I'm sure most people were before cars were invented since wagons are slower and more limited in where they can go.

CinemaSins is really BS sometimes. I know it's supposed to be "satire" but the "it's satire" thing just feels like an excuse. When some of the stuff you're saying is true, some of is literal lies, and other parts are just weird off-kilter "jokes", and you tie the entire thing together under the loose umbrella of "satire" the entire thing just feels really sloppy and flippant. CinemaSins used to be good, but they've really let their structure fall to the wolves in recent years
@@monkeysaru3957 Well, I dunno. Satire is supposed to criticise and ridicule things using irony, sarcasm and sometimes parody or parroting (at times making it look like strawman fallacy). CinemaSins is just humor, they aren't criticising anything, if they're satirizing/parodying anything that'd be film critics themselves. They're supposed to be too nitpicky, weird with their judgement and sometimes plain wrong, it's all part of the comedy. What they're meant to show, if anything, is how self-assured fucks known as critics claim there are all sorts of wrongs in any movie based solely on their bias. But first and foremost they're meant to make us laugh. It's fine if you don't like their humor, but don't take anything they say in sins videos seriously.
saying most people back then could jump from a horse onto a moving train would be like saying most people today could jump from a car to a moving train. it takes a skilled horseman to even get a horse next to a moving train. he probably needs to train the horse first, doubt the average horse would get close to a train.
@@MrYfrank14 It's also like assuming that most people nowadays can drive a car - skillfully too ! @Jeff Holinski Yes, back then horses were the main way to transport, but it doesn't mean that anybody could ride a horse. Especially a woman. And even if someone can ride a horse, it doesn't mean they can ride it as fast and as skillfully... Riding a horse at full speed is very dangerous and scary, not everybody can do it at all.
4:42 The reason they choose the next day after sending the letter is elementary, if Doc didn't send the letter then they would be unaware that he was in 1885, hence a paradox would happen. One way or another Doc would have to send the letter.
Marty could have just gone back to sometime right after Doc got there, they could have buried the DeLorean, wrote the letter and mailed it, then left 1885 before Doc got any attachment to it.
I really appreciate Cinemasins attempt at trying to acknowledge sin 192 with timeline inconsistencies. But I love this series too much to even try and solve that 😂
16:10 - 16:29 - I can answer Jeremy's question here, the 2015 middle-aged Marty in Bttf 2 only existed from the way the time-line was laid out at that particular point. Marty at that point had returned from his experience in 1955 but had not yet learned the consequences of the drag race with Needles. While in 2015, Jennifer had just heard the story for the first time and Marty knew nothing of it yet.. So without Marty at that juncture knowing the outcome of the drag race with Needles and no Jennifer warning him about it, he raced Needles, smashed into the Rolls Royse, got sued and lost, permanently crippled his hand so he couldn't make a career with his guitar music, and ended up at a dead-end career getting bullied by co-worker Needles while knowing that Marty gives in easily to what Needles wants just like he did in the drag race in 1985, and then Marty gave in to him again in 2015 when pushing him to break company rules, thus getting him fired and disrupting his life even further. But now after the events of Bttf 3, Jennifer and Marty know better, he refuses to race Needles, and the unfortunate chain of events that followed no longer happen, and the turmoiled middle-aged 2015 Marty we saw will no longer exist. Now that Marty's decisions have changed, we leave Bttf 3 no longer knowing where Marty will be in 2015. It's basically up to us to figure out for ourselves, he could've now become a successful musician, or his life could've fallen into ruins in some other way, we'll never know.
@@iceyplayz3388 yeah, Jeremy is sometimes funny, sometimes he makes good points, but other times he talks too much, and sometimes he's wrong about what he said. He didn't know the answer to a question many of us viewers I'm sure already know, see my above reply.
Paradox: After old Biff returned to 1955 Marty and Doc cannot travel to the 1985 that Biff made: They no longer exist. Doc goes to an asylum and the DeLorean time machine is never created. This negates both the initial accidental trip to 1955 and all subsequent time travel. This includes old Biff's trip from 2015.
I'm always with you on your sins, but as a genealogist, I have to say that when it comes to tombstones and families being connected in the same towns it's not that uncommon. I can tell you that tombstones can be VERY descriptive, especially in the late 1880s - 1910s. As for the Tannens knowing the McFlys through generations and decades, I wouldn't completely dismiss it. I live in a town in Southern California (like Hill Valley was) that my family was living in from the 1880s to current, 5 generations, and our families intertwined with a lot of other families that are still connected to this day. May seem far-fetched, but not as much as you think.
Make sense. Some of my great ants and uncles went to the same high school as my grandfather. They were very surprised to find that out at my parents' wedding.
@@elliot7753 It's possible that Seamus took his wife's surname instead of her taking his upon marriage. While that happens on occasion in the current age, however, I highly doubt it would happen in 1885, especially considering the status of women back then.
8:05 In the first movie, the big plot point was the time machine aspect, but otherwise, it was just an ordinary Delorean that ran on ordinary gasoline. The car could get to the required speed, but the tricky part was simultaneously getting the required power for the Flux Capacitor. If the car ran on plutonium instead of gas, then when the plutonium was used up in the jump to the past, the car wouldn't be able to drive at all. The end of the first movie and the second movie added Mr. Fusion for the flying component and a plutonium replacement for the time travel. In the third movie, there are not any issues with the time travel component on the DeLorean Marty uses to get to the past, but the tricky part is getting the required speed, and that's where gasoline, which wasn't an issue in the previous movies, comes into play.
Exactly as I always say 1 and 3 have opposite problems. In 1955 they had all the gasoline the could want but no power for the flux. In 3, they had all the garbage (power for the flux) but no gasoline.
And this is what kinda bugs me..doesn't the Delorean Doc buried in the cave have gas in it? They both know where it's at, it's not like they couldn't go in there and drain it then leave it boarded up again
Sometimes I think he dosen't put to much thought into his Sins, as a matter of fact, like a quarter of the sins in these videos is simply because they don't wanna think about it for more then a few seconds
My biggest complaint about this...gasoline was available in 1885! It was a byproduct of kerosene production, since it was a smaller carbon chain from the heavier kerosene, it used to be dumped into rivers, and then used as a stain remover for clothing, sold in every general store at the time. Since Oil was discovered in Titusville, PA in 1859, they could have had all the gas they wanted for next to nothing!
And in Everything Wrong with Part II when you see Mad Dog Tannen on the screen outside Biff Tower they actually say "this is the great foreshadowing you get by making the sequel at the same time"! Sin for inconsistency.
When you mentioned it'd be better for them to take Clara with them as her being alive already messed with the timeline, I literally had to say "thank you!"
David Prov Judging by the movie itself, the only real contribution Clara made to the timeline was falling into Shonash Ravine and getting it renamed. Since her LIVING past that event didn’t really change anything in 1985 (except who the ravine was renamed after), what are you talking about?
@@what0080 Well, when she died she wasn't there to do anything or talk to anyone. Now that she's alive she can do things she wouldn't have done, which might change history. The same way Doc changed the life of Clara simply by being there to save her and not fall to her death.
The thing is, if Clara goes with them wouldn’t there be 2 Clara’s in the timeline they’re going? It is either that, or Clara would have her timeline straight shooting into the future, which would mean she would always stay with Doc because departing from him would literally generate another timeline in which they aren’t together, which I guess would be romantic to have such a connection between Doc and Clara..man, I’m thinking about this more than the guys who made the movie
Yes. He should have invited her to the future with them, she doesn't believe him, same argument, same outcome. Wasted opportunity to respect a woman in an 80's macho movie although she got more respect than Elizabeth Shu's throw-away Jennifer..
Similar story with all the other sagas. How long for Hobbit and Rings? When will they finish sinning all the Star Wars, DC and Marvel storylines? How much longer after Fast and Furious 9 releases this year and the final tenth one Vin said he planned the series to go to until those are finished? Did he finish the Lion King, Aladdin, Harry Potter and others yet?
The part where you asked "did she just ride around hoping to find them and luck out" about Clara, that's easily explained. She went to Doc's shop and saw the planning diorama. Remember, it had geographic locations marked out and such, ergo she'd know where they will be. At least, she knew the general area and when she arrived at the tracks and saw the abandoned cars she knew they had the engine then heard the steam whistle and followed that.
The writer's of the movie said the technology in the hoverboard was what doc used to make his train time machine. Otherwise he would have been trapped 100 years in the past. So good thing he didn't.
But by the time Marty trains back to 1985, Doc had already hidden the BTTF2 Time machine in the mine. So back in 1885, Doc still had a mostly-built Delorean. With the electronics from the hoverboard, he could probably fix the time device enough to work, and repeat the train stunt to bring it to the future at 88mph. Eventually, of course, he'd have to go back and re-bury the Time Machine to avoid a paradox. But Doc would know that. Of course, that also raises the question of why he didn't put the hoverboard in the car when he buried it for Doc-1955 to find. Maybe he did. We never got a good look at the circuits and stuff Doc was using.
@@RedHeadKevin oh damn. so there was 2 deloreans in 1885 for bttf3 ? How the hell did I never think about that? He had a whole SECOND TIME MACHINE full of spare parts???
He didn't remove a sin for the callback to PT II with the breastplate in the shootout, like the movie wealthy Biff watches in his hot tub? Also - Marty watched that whole Clint Eastwood scene in PT 2 before coming up to Biff?
And the sin about “could have been shot in the face” is tactically incorrect. Unless you’re a top-notch gunslinger, in a stand-off you’re aiming for the best odds of hitting the target...center mass. To waste your first (and maybe only) shot on a headshot is foolish at best. So, expecting Mad Dog to aim for the chest was correct.
@@qdllc which is the same reason why people generally don't try to aim for arms or legs when shooting someone, which is why a lot of cops are trained to use their gun as a last resort (or at least should be trained to do so), as you said, shooting at a smaller target means they're less likely to hit. Shooting at an arm is much easier to miss than a torso
I love how he sins the fact that mad dog didn't go for a headshot but at this time and even still in today's world headshots were known to not be effective but shots to the chest with a revolver or other rifle were known very well to be effective and it was common place in duels to shoot at the chest because it takes very little time and effort to just draw your pistol and nail a full sized man in his chest as in a duel you need to be fast
ZZ Top was so outdated at this point they got sinned twice, at two different points. I remember 11 year old me, sitting in the theater thinking it was really cool that ZZ Top was in this movie
ZZ Top was always cool. Mostly because of their beards and awesome album covers. Their image is what kept them somewhat relevant. But yeah ZZ Top was still selling records at a decent pace when this came out. I think even most millennials know who ZZ Top is. They are recognizable and I guess they figured because of the Western theme of the movie, they would fit in. Though they started out in Houston, which isn't that Western. Though one of the members lives where I live (Las Vegas) now.
I think there's kind of been a change. When I was in high school (1993-1997), some people my age thought it was odd that my dad and I went to see the Rolling Stones. Now, it seems like older bands are really cool. You see tweens in Target ads wearing Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Motley Crue t shirts. I know people in their early 20's who went the last the ZZTop was in town
He needed to go back AFTER the letter was written to ensure it WAS written and the delorean was already hidden, as to not pollute the timeline that left them with most of a time machine to go back in time at all.
The sin is that Marty could've done the following: - Set the time machine for two weeks earlier - Bring his copy of Doc's letter with him - Have Doc write the letter verbatim from Marty's copy - Post date the letter to the 1st, and give it to Western Union - Destroy Marty's version of the letter from the future to remove it from the past (Doc will have already stored the DeLorean by this time)
@@Flashback1981 Meh, If Marty is gonna bring the letter with him, Doc doesn't even need to re-write it. Marty tells Doc about Western Union giving him the letter in 1955, where to hide the Delorean, etc... and Marty could've very well gone back to the day after Doc arrived in 1885 several months earlier.
@@Vaporvice84 If Marty brings the letter with him, this 70-year old piece of paper showing considerable age, plus being rained on when he read it during the storm, it will be 140-years old by the time Marty receives it again. Then 210 years old the next time Marty brings it back to give to Doc. Eventually Marty wouldn't be able to use the letter again due to age and wear, possibly being unable to even read it, and never going back to save Doc. This leads to a paradox: Letter -> Marty DOES go to early 1885 -> Doc mails old letter again -> Eventually Marty can't read letter -> Marty DOESN'T go to early 1885 --> Letter Simultaneously, Marty DOES and DOESN'T go to 1885 Then it's all Schrödinger.

Wouldn’t it not matter if another train came through the night before or the train they stopped came in early? No train coming through that way would hit the switch track and head that way knowing the bridge isn’t finished.
phoenixamaranth thanks friend. I do love Jeremy’s critiques most of the time but when they fly in the face of the actual continuity of the film....gotta say something.
I'm 46 and grew up with the Back to the future trilogy, we all knew there were some serious plot holes but it was only ever meant to be a bit of good fun. Enjoyed watching you video tho as you even pointed out some things I had missed!!
CinemaSins literally makes up "flaws" in a move that aren't true a lot of the time and then pretends that that's them making a joke. How is slicing a movie to make it look bad then criticising it for non-existent plotholes a "joke"? This is why I'm giving up on CinemaSins, they've become absolute rear-water lately.
I've never noticed him before, until paying attention to him in this video. It appeared he has developmental disabilities. Perhaps he was a nephew of a producer or something.
13:18 Not only is this homage to a Clint Eastwood film, but it is a very accurate way of using armor. When wearing ballistic armor, guess what it covers? That exact area. Because not only does it contain most vital organs, but it is the most common target. Even trained military personnel with rifles are taught to shoot at center mass to increase the chance of a hit. A pistol, with it's shortened range, being fired from the hip (which lowers precision), would take immense skill to hit the head from that distance when trying to outdraw someone else. While it wouldn't be impossible, the smart shot is for the chest to guarantee a kill or to at least heavily wound so you can finish them off.
"If you want, you can buy a revolver inside the festival..." You know, I ran across something similar in real life. At a county fair, you couldn't get through the front gate if you had one of a few types of items and had to either return it to your car or permanently surrender it. Like knives. Now, get past the gate and go only so many feet to the sales area. All the switch blades and cutting utensils that money could buy. So...these things really do happen. Guess if you are honest enough to drop that family antique knife into a disposal box, then you are honest enough to carry around a new knife with no threat of doing anything harmful with it.

Sadly that's entirely plausible. Even today people sometimes get fired from jobs, usually illegally, on the basis of their relationships. Though it's often very difficult to prove one was illegally fired from a job.
At the end of the movie when Marty goes in reverse in that dangerous way to avoid racing, it’d be hilarious if that was the accident that hurt him so he couldn’t play guitar in the future.
And his family name is the Von Browns; I doubt they were going for a reference to the rocket scientist. They kept things simple and straightforward back then (the 1980s) far more than planting Easter eggs like that.
The "father of modern rocketry" was actually an American named Robert Goddard, inventor of liquid fueled and multi-stage rockets a generation before Wernher Von Braun. You could also call Robert Esnault-Pelterie, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, and Hermann Oberth fathers of modern rocketry. Von Braun was inspired by and built upon the work of all of them. Von Braun later said of Goddard: "His rockets ... may have been rather crude by present-day standards, but they blazed the trail and incorporated many features used in our most modern rockets and space vehicles". He once recalled that "Goddard's experiments in liquid fuel saved us years of work, and enabled us to perfect the V-2 years before it would have been possible." www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/about/history/dr_goddard.html
Clara knew where Doc and Marty would be because of the model in the shop. How she knew exactly *where* that was after only being in town for a few days is a puzzle though.
13:56 An even better question, if they changed the future so that the grave wasn't there, why did some one just take a photograph of a random piece of the ground?
@@evandavis5223 But we saw in the second movie that experiences, events, and people's actions are changed by the past, not just the results of them. So if the tomb never existed, Marty would never have had the reason to take a picture of it. For that matter, if he never saw the grave, he would've just assumed Doc Brown was living a happy life in 1885, gone back to 1985 instead of 1885, and created a paradox.
I understand why you sinned the repeating behaviour across the time periods (waking up from a dream, being chased out of a bar, etc) but for me this was part of the charm. It was fun seeing the same characters in similar - but contextually different - situations. I think also it exemplifies the maxim that 'history [often] repeats itself'.
14:05 Well she did see the model train with the time machine car on it, so she realized Doc might have been telling her the truth, so she went to the train track to find him. Makes sense actually.
4:37 Sending him back _before_ he writes the letter would be extremely dumb because then he’d risk altering the very circumstances that led to him finding the buried Delorean. 11:54 This is the stretch of track that leads to the unfinished bridge, so no train is going to deliberately travel down there. 14:05 She saw the model.
The only reason he went back is because Doc died, so by saving him, there's no reason to go back. Doc should always die just like the movie Time Machine.

4:42 Jeremy, you're not thinking fourth dimensionally. If Marty goes back BEFORE Doc writes the letter, then he wouldn't need to write the letter. Therefore Marty wouldn't receive the letter in 1955 so he wouldn't know about the Deloreon in the cave and he would be stuck in 1955 and unable to go back to either 1885 or 1985. Since he wouldn't get the letter and wouldn't go back to 1885 and prevent Doc from writing the letter so he would get the letter in 1955. This would cause a time paradox that could unravel the very fabric of the space/time continuum and destroy life as we know it!!!
Or......Marty takes that very letter WITH HIM to 1885, gives it to Doc, and Doc mails it out with the same instructions to Western Union to give it to Marty McFly in 1955. Then Marty could've went back to the very next day after Doc got him (the letter says he's been in 1885 for several months), and they get outta there with Marty's Delorean, while leaving Doc's Delorean in the same underground spot that Marty and Doc will find it in 1955.
@@Vaporvice84 Again.. if Doc doesn't write the letter, Marty doesn't have it bring back. If Marty brings the letter back before Doc writes it.. Doc still doesn't write it and therefore Marty doesn't have it to bring back and they are once again in the same position.
two things have always bothered me about this movie 1. Doc passed out and Marty took him home, he had no time to find the pieces of the letter, much less put them together again 2. Yeah, but Marty had since been home, got his truck. Then picked up Jennifer. Then drag raced Flea. There's gotta be a couple of hours in that time since arriving back in 1985
But he didn't though. Because Marty came back, reconnected with Jennifer, backed out of the drag racing challenge and THEN went back to the tracks. Doc would have no clue what time he would come back to meet up with him.
Another sin was left unsinned at the end of the movie. The fusion device from the future was left in the wreckage of the DeLorean so that it could have been found, reversed engineered, and the future altered by a much earlier creation of this device that when it was in the original, unaltered time line.
Not to mention the flux capacitor and the hover components. But we didn't see what happened once the credits rolled. Marty and Jennifer were still there, they could have disposed of the more sensitive components.
The chances of someone thinking those items were important and doing that seems very low. At the most, they'd assume some amateur scientist had modified the car, but they wouldn't think whatever they did was significant enough to tear apart and reverse engineer.
Yea just watched with captions... Yeah well YOU HAD a hover conversions... Is what is said... But sin still applys.. If you want to know why watch Every thing wrong with Cinemasins 😄😂
I'm Italian, I can confirm that this "error" slept in a lot of foreign dubbings, including ours. 13:16 fair point but even at this time aiming at center of mass would not only give you a more accurate target but a higher likelyhood to hit something vital. Also quickdraw mentality here
Also, when you consider the fact that medical techniques/knowledge then were primitive compared to today, even a non-lethal (today) hit could cause a person to bleed to death - hell, Tannen even says this to Doc earlier in the film. Another thing - the whole point of that scene was to mimic Clint Eastwood in the scene from the movie that Wealthy Biff was watching in the hot tub in Part II.
The thing I remember the most about this film is the face Doc makes when his love interest tells him she loves him. Pretty sure he didn't need a time machine to know a lot of pooty tang was in HIS future
14:15 As someone who lives near train tracks, I need to say trains travel at all hours of the day and night. Before I got used to them, the trains running kept me awake at night with their whistles.
11:55 the thing with this scene, is it ironically is an active railroad. The crew had to move the DeLorean on the tracks, shoot what they needed, then remove the DeLorean 10 minutes before the trains needed to come by iirc from the movie commentary.
1:27 I'm Italian, I can confirm that this "error" is present in a lot of foreign dubbings, including ours. I remember perfectly that in the Italian dub Marty said "Si, l'abbiamo fatta aerotrasformare all'inizio del ventunesimo secolo" which translated "Well yeah, we made the hover convertion done in the early 21st century" and even as a kid I asked myself why Marty used the WE like he wanted to boast himself in front of the younger Doc
Haha that's funny that it transcends the country too I'm just sorry you had to deal with the rest of terrible Italian cinema from the 80s and 90s Don't get me wrong I love me some Leone and Fulci
I've actually seen the use of 'we' in a few time travel movies. I think it's a kind of way for the character to easily reference something in a time period that has not been experienced yet.
Marty didn’t even need to go back to to save doc. As soon as 1955 doc saw his tombstone, 1985 doc who went back to 1885 would have already known and would have done something about it.
Also, it didn’t matter if an arrow ripped the fuel line of the Delorean because there woulda been a second time machine (the one doc left in the mineshaft for Marty to get back to 1985)
Marty's line "Why do we always have to cut these things so damn close?" should have been a sin off, not an extra sin! Hilarious bit of self-aware script writing. Also, another sin off for the brilliant (for the time) compositing work in most scenes between Seamus and Marty. To balance out the awful Doc/Clara hoverboard shot.
Missed three sins: 1. Clara pulls an "emergency cord" to stop the train, which wouldn't have existed on that train. 2. When the locomotive is uncoupled, the train has knuckle couplers, which wouldn't have been in use at the time. 3. The train hits the Delorean without stopping. As soon as the crew saw the car on the tracks, they would have thrown the train's brakes into emergency braking. They wouldn't have stopped in time, but they wouldn't have just kept going.
@@BaronVladHarkonnen And yet you insist on coming here and helping to support the videos by commenting and responding to comments. If you really didn't like this stuff, the smart thing to do would be to leave.
You can literally see one of Buford's men throwing his gun belt to the deputy in the clip where you say only Buford turned in his weapons. Good job :-)
I just want to mention that back in that time it was very common to die from a single bullet wound, so every shooter would rather aim for center of mass. (Like any actual experienced shooter) Which is also the reason bulletproof vests are so widely used. Everyone aims at center of mass.
At 10:35 You said "I'm pretty sure only Buford did that". You can clearly see his partner to the right handing over his gun belt at that very second. Why do we have to do your job Cineamasins?
4:33 Reason being that it would cause a paradox. If Marty was sent back the day before the letter was wrote, then Marty and the Doc would never have received it. So they wouldnt know where the other Doc is in time or where the Delorean had been hidden so they would never have the information to be able to o back in the first place.
Here's another sin: What are the odds that the bear didn't tamper with the Delorean while it stayed parked in its cave? Not to mention, how did they retrieve the car without any trouble from the bear?
I'm here to tell you something, friend: In the early to late nineties, I spent hundreds of money on light-gun arcade machines and when I hit the RAF Rifle range for the first time I blasted the base record. So, yes, being good at light gun video games translates to real life.
The "Made In Japan" remark isn't necessarily racist. It's unlikely that the USA in the 50s had a plethora of Japanese imports on the market, especially since 1955 was only a decade after World War 2 and memories of it (especially Axis hostilities) still fresh in the American mind. Then there's the change of Doc's surname around the time of World War 1. Anti-German fervor was a thing around that time thus his family felt it necessary to do away with Von Braun so they wouldn't become targets of violence.
It's also worth remembering that 1955 is just a decade after WWII, so Japan was still rebuilding and redesigning its economy. It's sort of akin to someone in the 1990s trying to fix an iPhone and assuming it's poor quality after reading "Assembled in China."
The best part of this movie is if you pause it when Seamus is saying that Marty could have backed away there's a scene where all of the on screen characters except the baby blink.

4:42 The reason they choose the next day after sending the letter is elementary, if Doc didn't send the letter then they would be unaware that he was in 1885, hence a paradox would happen. One way or another Doc would have to send the letter.

And the cemetery didn't stop existing, the headstone disappeared.
In 3, they had all the garbage (power for the flux) but no gasoline.

another sin: doc Brown didn't give Marty his skateboard back
The brutality
The writer's of the movie said the technology in the hoverboard was what doc used to make his train time machine. Otherwise he would have been trapped 100 years in the past. So good thing he didn't.
It's fine. According to the intro to the animated series which plays after BTTF III he either gets a new one or actually gets it back.

I was looking for this. Also, that DeLorean in the mine could not have been tampered in any way shape or form or that will screw things up.
The sin is that Marty could've done the following:
- Set the time machine for two weeks earlier
- Bring his copy of Doc's letter with him
- Have Doc write the letter verbatim from Marty's copy
- Post date the letter to the 1st, and give it to Western Union
- Destroy Marty's version of the letter from the future to remove it from the past
(Doc will have already stored the
DeLorean by this time)
@@Flashback1981 Meh, If Marty is gonna bring the letter with him, Doc doesn't even need to re-write it.
This leads to a paradox:
Letter -> Marty DOES go to early 1885 -> Doc mails old letter again -> Eventually Marty can't read letter -> Marty DOESN'T go to early 1885 --> Letter
Simultaneously, Marty DOES and DOESN'T go to 1885
Then it's all Schrödinger.

CinemaSins is really BS sometimes. I know it's supposed to be "satire" but the "it's satire" thing just feels like an excuse. 8:40 I have always wondered this too. But the reason is actually very simple: They were just moving the DeLorean from the cave to Doc's shop.
Maybe the school fired Clara for being in love because teachers had to be single and abstinent.
Back then especially in frontier towns, the school only had one teacher and that person also ran the school.
Sadly that's entirely plausible. Even today people sometimes get fired from jobs, usually illegally, on the basis of their relationships. Though it's often very difficult to prove one was illegally fired from a job.

@@hufflepunk9562 after he crashed into the Rolls, he punches the driver and injures his hand. It’s explained in the 2nd film.
The von braun line was a reference to Warner Von Braun.
You know, creator of the german V2 and father of modern rocket science.
Actually, it's *Wernher* von Braun.
He once recalled that "Goddard's experiments in liquid fuel saved us years of work, and enabled us to perfect the V-2 years before it would have been possible."

@@dropkickmurphy4114 It was von Braun, not von Brown. Doc's father Anglicized the name after World War I.

She could ask someone, it's what was a thing before GPS.
Didn't he tell her he's got a blacksmith shop in town? Didn't she go there to have her telescope looked at? Didn't... I don't have a third thing.
13:56 An even better question, if they changed the future so that the grave wasn't there, why did some one just take a photograph of a random piece of the ground?
Didn't Marty take that picture? Even if changing the past results in the grave not existing, they still took a picture of that spot.
@@leebydeeby Have your eyes gone crosseyed yet?
@Hobu123 except for when Biff stole the time machine
My theory is that Marty knows when Doc is and isn’t just gonna leave him there so either way Marty will go back for Doc
Not to mention it was intentional to showcase the different time periods.

@@BaronVladHarkonnen Wait there was a fourth one?
Lol... If only that were true.
Great Scott!
That's Heavy!
so basically the grandfather paradox?
i am sure the botstrap paradox has a lay in this as well...
Doc still doesn't write it and therefore Marty doesn't have it to bring back and they are once again in the same position.
two things have always bothered me about this movie
1. Doc passed out and Marty took him home, he had no time to find the pieces of the letter, much less put them together again

Well, I play a lot of halo and when I got me BB gun (lever action) back in 2010 i was a really good shot
This is the most retarded comment here.
@Rohan Dadlani grammar sins starring mr. Dadlani
Everything is racist today. 🙄
It's a joke.
He says it in every video.
It's a joke.
He says it in every video.
@@abegarfield7638 thank you for clearing that up. In today's ultra sensitive society, I don't know when someone is joking anymore. 😔
The best part of this movie is if you pause it when Seamus is saying that Marty could have backed away there's a scene where all of the on screen characters except the baby blink.

Holy shit youre right
Doesn’t he say “yeah, well, you had a hover conversion in the early 21st century” not “yeah, we had a hover conversion in the early 21st century”?
I’m pretty sure that’s true, but have to watch it over again just to doublecheck, now. LOL. I was thinking the exact same thing as you.
Yes, I've always heard it as "Yeah, well, you had..."
YES. A rare mistake from the voiceover fast talking funny ironical guy
