I hate when people just like hate on peoples part choices like what they run is the ultimate best. I like when people genuinely ask about stuff to people because they want to learn them though. Also i love the channel and always look foward to the vid
Sticky grips are a must with me & no flange . I can’t have a grip that moves in my hands like the old school ODI Mushrooms , I use to run Jive Handles but I don’t think they make them anymore .
I like bright colour flanges for my brakeless bmx on dirt jump tracks, as they can be seen in my peripheral vision as a reference check to see what direction I'm holding my bars in without having to take my eyes off where I'm going 👌 Also helps my hands not soupping further inside the bar, like hand suspension ans gives more feeling of what's going on with the bars when going up and coming out of steep embankment turns. Can feel how far your hand is from the bars when you're just holding with fingers with outside hand on the embankments 👌
Im 32 and Im finally getting back into BMX after 16 years of not riding. I bought a 2025 Kink Launch and Im gonna slowly replace parts. Thanks for all the videos. I saw these grips at Walmart that were Ozark Trail lol They were VERY grippy! I felt like spiderman when he grabbed the wall haha I almost bought them. Im not sure what to look for in grips other than what do I like the feeling of the best as well as grip. I basically have to relearn everything about BMX and bikes.
Ive had Odyssey Brocs and Warnin, currently have S&M Hoder on my main bike but i much prefer the United team grips on my other bike. Give em a try im sure you won't be disappointed
I'm a new subscriber to this channel, just gotta say this Phu Vu guy is extremely entertaining. He should have his own show on TV, "Guys, you can cut the grips", 😜😜😜
I was expecting to see, if there are bmx grips that holds almost the same with lock-on grips. I love bmx grips, the length, simplicity and choices, though when moisture kicks in or sweats get in things starts to spin. Now, I am using lock on grips but still hoping to find non-lock-on someday... Thanks
Very Cool content and info! I'm an old fart but still enjoy watching & re-learning with the vlogs on BMX bike parts and builds! Would be cool if someone could invent a soft Chrome mushroom grip! 😂 Hey Thanks for sharing!
Great video as always, thank's a lot! Eclat shogun on my BMX and I run ODIs BMX grip's on my MTB. Will also try to put those long ODIs on my road bike when the tape is worn out.
I work in a dirty tire shop so I get callus so thick my whole palm is basically 1 big callus. And when I use firm grips with thin ribbeds then they will rip my hands open to the muscle at the base of my finger. You don't know wtf you're talking ab I'd delete that comment to spare myself the embarrassment if I was you
You've just never had calluses so thick that you're skin tears open that deep because of them. Lmfao that's kinda funny how that reversed on you having soft hands
I have to squish 165mm grips down to 150mm to make them thicker. No one makes a grip over 32mm anymore and I'm not wearing gloves as a casual older rider.. You kids today must have tiny little hands.

I've been looking for some grips with streamers on the sides.

Most feel the same. I think the look you’re going after is the deciding factor .

eclat zap grips are like 190mm long, and has various cutting points where you can style it how you want. That's kinda neat
miss this kind of content man

Al let’s see a video of Phu’s Jiujitsu grips 😉 Noticed him wearing an Albino hoodie the other day while watching older videos. Good stuff! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Hoder Grips works best for me 👍🏼
Dude I’m annoyed that I just remembered how much I loved riding bikes when I was young but I’m excited to have a project 😂
Same here bro...get back into it ...shred it bruh

I just got some grips from epic! Shout out MAX!
this guy got me wanting to put grips on all my tools now.
Thanks, Al!
I have been cutting grips for years because I run powerlite power bend bars.
Do you think the cinema vx3 cassette and 888 rim complete wheel is a good complete wheel?
I need grips like Vans ODI Cult grips, but made of a slightly more firm rubber.
Only Chu's grip feels right!

How are they stopping if they don't have brakes? Are they using the pedal brake style?
I like my grip flangeless cuz I cut it so it goes before and after the brake lever
I've been to this shop 1 time never went back
I always preferred Jive handle grips.
I thought Alfredo moved…
Must’ve been some clickbait. Glad it was
Gloves help 👋
I used to have a bike back in the 80's it had the flange and fingergrooves dont remember the name of tje bike tho
lol Ethan making Phu wear a cult shirt.
Got some jive testicles grips?
Those were always the best. A little harder than nowadays but they were what every pro had. Jive testicles.
For me by far a silicone grip feels and grip the best and I have sweaty ass hands. And they last forever unless you damage them
Eww... "ass hands"
haro team grips are the best and most comfortable
💯💯💯💯
The people that say "those grips tore my hands up", have soft hands and have never had a caliss in their life.

"caliss" is crazyaf loll
God forbid someone doesn't like a grip. Definitely means they have soft hands and never had a callus in their lives.. yeahhhhhhh 😂😂
Those vans grips are soft af I love these things
flanges cause blisters.
So I took your advice Phu and I put a grip on my hog and had to go to the hospital to have it removed
Cinema interlace grips are the cat’s pajamas
👋
touch the material then buy ODI
I'll stick to AME's
get some bar ends in that bike!
2 sets of grips 😂
Chainline 4 me
Vans cult grips
I have to squish 165mm grips down to 150mm to make them thicker. No one makes a grip over 32mm anymore and I'm not wearing gloves as a casual older rider..
You kids today must have tiny little hands.
1st baby!!!
Kids today have no creativity , no fault of their own per say. They live in a world , where they don't have to think. And sadly this is what we get.
You take responsibility in that world. Shut up mouth cry baby 😂
You take responsibility for that world.
🧐
I just use like 4 layers of tennis racket grip tape, instead of grips.
annoyed at people asking questions to buy something at your store is wildaf. check yourself lil man.
