Hoka One One:
Of all the footwear I've tried in the last 7 years (with an ankle fusion and as an amputee), nothing beats Hoka. They're soft. They roll over well. If you forced me to bet on one shoe brand for comfort for the rest of my life as an amputee, it would be Hoka.

Nike Fly Ease:
Of all the shoe companies in the world, I'm not aware of any as supportive of adaptive athletes as Nike is. Between the Ossur Flex Run, their support of the Challenged Athletes Foundation, and Flyease, Nike continues to impress. The only thing I can say based on my experience is to be gentle with the zipper. It's a great technology, but zippers aren't perfect, and they still malfunction from time-to-time.

Adjust-a-Lift:
There are a few options in this category, but Adjust-a-lift seems to set the standard. It won't be the solution with high-heels, but it may make a huge difference with shoes that have a rise of 8-12 mm.

College Park Shoehorn - ~$50:
If you don't plan on messing with sport-specific boots or otherwise taller boots, you can probably get by with one of the shoehorns, but when you're cramming a prosthetic foot into an inflexible boot, I haven't found anything that competes with this one. As far as I can tell, there's no easy way to order this online, but you can email them. They were great when I reached out.

Ossur Flex Foot Shoehorn - ~$40
I haven't personally used this one, but I've heard good things, and I expect the angle might help in some situations. Officially, it seems these are specifically designed around remove your foot shell.

Generic Long Metal Shoehorn - ~$10
As with anything on Amazon, results may vary, but for the vast majority of cases, these shoehorns are good enough. This is similar to the version that I keep spread around the house. My College Park shoehorn goes in my "serious" tools bag, and most of the time, I manage just fine with these. They are a little bulky for travel though.

Light-weight Shoehorn:
I don't have a specific recommendation in this category beyond noting that it's useful to have one. They're generally cheaper (less than $10), and their portability is the main benefit. For instance, when I'm traveling and don't anticipate frequent shoe changes or needing my heavier-duty shoehorns, it's still useful to have one even if it's a little less convenient than my favorites. I'd recommend finding a smaller metal one that you like and keeping it handy in your travel supplies. (We'll talk about traveling with prosthetics extensively in future episodes.) I did read some reviews and run a few through Fakespot, and these look like the best overall compact/lightweight shoehorns at the moment:

Good information I always learn something new. For boots such as a snowboard boot, try using a plastic back to get your prosthetic inside. It really helped me and I didn't have to cut up my boots.
Try putting a plastic bag (I use grocery store bag) over the foot and tuck the bag into the foot to help with getting shoes, boots, pants on. Slides right on and off (I'm an above knee amputee).

Two suggestions:
If you get your foot in salt water or chlorine, after you clean it out and let it dry, spray a little silicone spray. It'll be like new.
To wear flip flops, you can also put on the flip flop, and then put an extra-long hair elastic under the toes (in front of the toe strap) and then behind the heel. I've found that this works great, and the hair band usually works for a month or two.
I’ve got a question I’m really curious about. Is it possible to wear, like, knee-high boots with a prosthetic leg? Since most have a side-zip, getting them actually on might not be too difficult, but would the actual height of the boot be an issue? And would it make a difference depending on whether the boot was also lace-up or not?
What would be cost if available?

Is Nike flyease is available In Nepal?
I have a question when going in to get my second leg is it normal for your doc to take off your old hardware and put it on the new socket and was going to get a hydraulic ankle that never happend nor do i have a backup leg all the hardware went to my new that’s why I’m asking is it normal to do that
All your components should of been replaced. Your insurance company should of paid for a new prosthetic and I would of questioned it. I always keep my old one and use it as a backup or for parts just in case. I actually used one for a shower leg. The socket doesn't fit that well but its better than one footing it.
How do you clean your foot?
My husband is new to the amputee life. He has a very nice prosthetic. They told him not to swim in it at the beach? What’s the answer to this? Do we need to buy a water proof one?

What’s a good shoe for hiking with a prosthetic?
I wouldn't say there's a clearly best option for hiking shoes with prosthetics any more than any other activity. It's definitely a personal decision since everybody is so different. That said, I've found that Hoka's generally have some good cushion and roll over well with prosthetic feet. I've also heard a lot of folks with prosthetics like Altra's for their neutral rise. So I'd probably start there and see if anything they have works well for you.
Anyone with a prosthetic understands the basics. Maybe this is for just net-surfers. Snarky me I have my prosthetic foot set at barefoot/flat. Easy for me to add rise or roll over. Yes, comes with experience. Goes to experience and messing around with your keg. As a full time user I have developed many hacks.
Enlighten me with all of them lol ugh I get so aggravated attempting to get info.

Bondi. I have Cliftons too, but the Bondi's have traditionally been the most comfortable.
